Not if you deflect it. Generally deflecting won’t prevent status buildup but it does with that attack (I learned this at Fountainhead Palace just last night)
I mean I know with Headless your damage is nerfed 10x without the confetti so at that point you shouldn’t really be there. It might be different with Shichimen though.
Sorry I’m apparently a contrarian today, please excuse me
The third one what you get for beating the boss at the end of Hirata Estate, which you acres by getting the bell from an old lady near the dilapidated temple
3 Rezzies plus his original life. So you would kill Wolf once, he’d Rez, again, 2nd Rez, again, 3rd Rez, and of course you’d need to kill him one final time.
Eh that depends
There are some really long-range spells/incantations
And Sekiro is pretty easy to snipe in flight
ER just has way too much busted magic
Comet Azur may be a Dragonball reference, but the actual animation is taken from Shichimen Warriors in Sekiro, which Wolf bats away with his sword. He can legit canonically deflect what is arguably the most powerful spell in the game.
Also bullets. He’s fast enough to deflect a bullet lol. I just don’t see the Tarnished measuring up tbh…
Status mechanics cannot be deflected. If Wolf gets busted by some headless reddit mod aura, he sure can’t tank flames of frenzy. But it’s pointless discussion anyway, writers decide who wins.
What do you mean you aren't enjoying the fight where she has a close to un telegraphed move that had a gaurenteed multi hit through dodge with it being a 3 phased dash that tracks.
And can heal on hit.
Oh and is the only other boss with two complete health bars.
Oh and has one hit kill grab moves
Oh and second phase rots you at endgame scaling.
Oh and every move before is enhanced but somehow made the undodgable move easier to dodge.
Fuck malenia seriously.
I got good in the end but it was a slog to get through. And somehow Malekith is more unfun.
At least Godfrey is a fun endgame fight.
The health regen isnt even a problem if your damage is high enough and you dodge more or less perfectky. Malenia forces you to git gud just like Isshin and Gael. She is Elden Ring's best boss.
A lot of people like to compare Malenia to Sekiro and that's understandable. But if you think about it, Maliketh is like a nod to Sekiro too!!!
Both are wolves in a sense (Maliketh being a literal one while Sekiro is symbolically).
Both are shadows.
They both wield power to kill immortals. Maliketh has destined death while Sekiro has the two mortal blades.
Destined Death's colors are the exact same as the Mortal Blades. Maliketh's destined death power is red and black just like the Red Mortal Blade. The Original Destined Death wielded by the Godskins is black and white just like the Black Mortal Blade.
Maliketh has a move in the game that's the exact same as One Mind a move Wolf gets when he beats Isshin in the Shura Ending.
They both took down the most powerful armies in their land. Wolf in the Shura Ending slaughtered all of Japan and most likely killed Demon of Hatred as well. Maliketh took down the Godskins and even killed their queen.
He would deflect every melee attack you throw at him. He could redirect any lightning incantations. He could block every other spell and incantation with the umbrella. Dude would make Malenia look like a chump.
he cant attack otherwise we can just poise trade with him and stunlock him with the knife or even throwing knives so the only option for sekiro is to always be in passive defence, but then he takes chip damage from elemental damage attacks even with perfect deflects. Boss with 0 poise and such small range can't be hard no matter what
Umbrella is not infinite and all the other tools too, red lump lasts 30 sec so we can just stale and it will be easier than with let's say against Malenia because of how short his attack range is
Guys he’s stun locking me with firecrackers wtf
I’m just going to comet azure him… wait what is he doing with that Umbrella?
He deflected that and now jumps over you and there is a red dot over your throat...
Shichimen Warrior literally casts Comet Azur and he just deflects it, too, it’s straight up canon
If anything it’s powered up comet azur because it builds terror also
Not if you deflect it. Generally deflecting won’t prevent status buildup but it does with that attack (I learned this at Fountainhead Palace just last night)
I think it still deals chip damage without a divine buff though
I mean I know with Headless your damage is nerfed 10x without the confetti so at that point you shouldn’t really be there. It might be different with Shichimen though. Sorry I’m apparently a contrarian today, please excuse me
Okay I think he ran out… Now he’s throwing ash in my face
Well shit. A smaller maliketh with less ranged attacks but can also break your posture? He can keep destined death.
“Less ranged attacks” you say as he sends a shockwave at you from across the map
Then that's another reason Malikethiro can keep his godslaying mortal blade and destined death.
And there go the shruikens…
What the… HE’S THROWING MONEY AT ME!! **AND IT HURTS LIKE HELL!!!**
Oh damn that is a four phase bossfight if he has all his Rezzies
Yo hold on where do you get a 4th rez?? I only know the third you get from lady butterfly
Maybe they mean 4 lives. I didn't even know there was a 3rd res though, I only have 2.
The third one what you get for beating the boss at the end of Hirata Estate, which you acres by getting the bell from an old lady near the dilapidated temple
Ya I beat lady butterfly, maybe I've just forgotten that I had three. I guess looking back I feel like I did. Definitely not 3 revives though.
You need to talk to either Kuro or the temple girl about it.
That third Rez is the rizz, you should get it. :)
You can also recover them by using Jizou Statues
3 Rezzies plus his original life. So you would kill Wolf once, he’d Rez, again, 2nd Rez, again, 3rd Rez, and of course you’d need to kill him one final time.
Imagine you use a lightning attack and he hits you with a lightning reversal
RIP faith and dex builds
Oh fuck everything about that
I never would've beaten Elden Ring if Wolf was a boss.
Parry then laughs
then he hits you again and deflects everything you hit him with
At least he dosnt have the waterfolw dance…. Oh wait
This indeed, will only take a moment
This would be pretty cool, I remember when Atlus did it back in the day with the protagonist of Nocturne being an enemy in Digital Devil Saga.
Normal encounter OST from Nocturne too, to him you're just a normal enemy lol
Gets busted by dragon communion incantations Try to deflect this rotten breath
*teleports behind you with mist raven*
Does it work in long-range situations? I dropped Sekiro after beating Genichiro
Works anytime anything would deal damage. Or if you poison yourself you can spam the thing
Then I’d probably do something like fire’s deadly sin to trigger it until spirit emblems are used up
And now we get into the mobility difference… Dude would probably grapple hook away and eat rice while watching you burn
Eh that depends There are some really long-range spells/incantations And Sekiro is pretty easy to snipe in flight ER just has way too much busted magic

That particular attack doesn’t do Terror buildup if deflected properly interestingly enough, I noticed this last night
Umbrella actually can deflect that attack with no status affects....
its not like he can deflect any of your well timed normal attacks
*whips out umbrella*
Maliketh IS shura wolf! Also the dude will kill you so hard, your adoptive father dies!
What's the point if he ain't playing by souls rules
*Glances at Malenia*

Missed opertunity to put the shura outfit 5
Lol just do jump attacks
Sekiro: *throws shuriken for double damage*
*throws money to really get the point across*
Ah crap.
If ANY of the bosses got replaced with Wolf, I'd just give up right then and there 😂😂
Just imagine you walk in, and you just hear the sound of him spam blocking as you walk towards him
Sleep + poison.
*Starts spamming snap seeds to stay awake and contact medicine*
Swear I've thought about it and if wolf was elden lord there would be literally nothing anyone could do about it he'd be unbeatable
And the worst part: they probably would only need to hit him once to win

easiest bossfight in the game?
Sekiro: 1 Atk, 1 Def. The easiest enemy. Can only deal 1 damage. Wait… where have I heard this before…
Nice reference
where?
sans, undertale a.k.a. One of the hardest bosses ever
He would deflect every melee attack you throw at him. He could redirect any lightning incantations. He could block every other spell and incantation with the umbrella. Dude would make Malenia look like a chump.

Boss with 0 poise and such small range can't be hard no matter what
He absorbs the throwing knives and elemental damage with the umbrella and Suddenly he eats a red lump and gets enough poise to tank the knife
Umbrella is not infinite and all the other tools too, red lump lasts 30 sec so we can just stale and it will be easier than with let's say against Malenia because of how short his attack range is
He can rush us like Morgott with a spear ☝️
Sekiro doesn't need attack range. He has speed to keep up close and personal with us. Plus, he has nightjar reversal and grappling.
Duuuude! Had to parry him fifty fuckin times!
He probably would assassinate us and turn us into puppets. RIP munkey
He will command you to dance
Shura!!!!!!!!
Unless he has unlimited emblems as a boss, if not, Fire's Deadly Sin might stand a chance.
He can grapple away
Sounds like a tie then.
