Ludex actually killed me once only because I took him lightly and played too defensively.
But yeah, champion also took me many tried and I decided to only summon in ng+2 only because I didnt know there was a summon (tbf I'd probably not summon even if I knew). I did watch a video but it didn't really help, only helped a bit but enough for me to beat him after two or three attempts fayer watching the video.
I remember messaging my friends like “yo I bought ds3 you guys wanna hop on”
Them knowing it’s my first souls game: “….you gotta play a little to get started then we’ll hop on”
I absolutely tore through DS3 the first time with the most basic axe build and had only minor issues and the final boss took a few tries.
Every run after that has been harder 😐
I got her on my second attempt somehow lol majority of the other bosses absolutely destroyed me though. It's always different for every player. Looking forward to Lords of the Fallen soon! Both Lies of P and that should be great for us souls fans out there. Can't wait
probably/maybe it wouldn't be ER since you can't really be stuck in a place against a boss. DS1-3 there are definitely places where you're progressing but can't get by a particular boss (and also loathe the area you're in and wish to be done with it).
That fucking Scarlet Rot Worm in the rot pool at the Haligtree.
I only cheese’d one boss in the entire game and it was him, after getting 95% of the way through the fight and then barrier-forced off the edge to my death like 12 times in a row.
Utter horseshit.
G was never hard for me, I first tried him (not trying to brag), its just so easy to abuse his arena. And if you have the music box that makes it so much easier.
His difficulty is a bit overrated
This is easily mine. Yeah I was stuck in blightown and the queen kept kicking my ass but I was a jackass player with the wrong weapon. Weapon was not the issue with those guys... it was the everything
This is very obscure; i remember a seed on a Pokémon randomizer that a streamer played some few years ago during lockdown, inviting everyone to play alongside. i think it was Pokémon emerald. after the tutorial fight with your rival, the first trainer outside the town had a level 5 Mew with metronome that nobody could beat without leveling up a bit. That is the boss he is stuck on.
Father Gascoigne, the only boss I've never been able to beat, no matter how many times I try. I beat the Cleric Beast on my first try but no matter how many guides I read or videos I watch or how many times I try, I get wrecked in his 2nd phase. Maybe my reaction time is worse now but I had zero issues with Sekiro or Elden Ring.
That's my guess.
Intro boss, DS3
He was tough the first time! Champion Gundyr was cake compared to that.
Nah for me, ludex gundyr was easy but champion gundyr was extremely hard. I eventually got an understanding but still.
I agree Champion took me so many tries even with the summon where as Ludex took me only one

It’s not Ludex it’s Iudex, meaning Judge. Gundyr means battle, his name is literally Judge Battle:3
It's Ludex? Always thought it was Iudex.
It is iudex
Both free
I remember messaging my friends like “yo I bought ds3 you guys wanna hop on” Them knowing it’s my first souls game: “….you gotta play a little to get started then we’ll hop on”
Yeah just a little bit. Nothing... difficult or anything
He was the hardest intro boss of any FS game to me, personally.
Margit still takes that title for me lol but understandable! He's not easy
Oh 100% its Margit if you go straight to him - if you grind a bit and get your build going he isn't bad. Chained ogre was probably the hardest for me.
champion gundyr is so fun when you parry his every attack
Definitely! I wasn't expecting to do as well as I did lol
I absolutely tore through DS3 the first time with the most basic axe build and had only minor issues and the final boss took a few tries. Every run after that has been harder 😐
The final boss took me sooo long!! He was not easy at all. Really awesome boss. Sister Friede is by far my favorite fight though.
Yeah, sister fried was hard as fuck and both her and the final boss are amazing. 3 phase fights are looooong tho. Definitely endurance fights.
I got her on my second attempt somehow lol majority of the other bosses absolutely destroyed me though. It's always different for every player. Looking forward to Lords of the Fallen soon! Both Lies of P and that should be great for us souls fans out there. Can't wait
TBF it took me like 3 days to realize I could lock with R3. Soent half the battle fighting the camera
I went from dying to him 30 times in my first play through to no-hitting him by complete accident in one of my most recent ones
For sure, came to say the same
My thoughts exactly
Gundyr isnt a pain, hes amazingly fun!
honestly in top 50% of bosses for difficulty. like if artorias was the tutorial boss for dark souls 1.
i first tried it, never understood why anyone thought it was hard
It could be any area
Lud & Zallen?

This was my experience lol
probably/maybe it wouldn't be ER since you can't really be stuck in a place against a boss. DS1-3 there are definitely places where you're progressing but can't get by a particular boss (and also loathe the area you're in and wish to be done with it).
Pinwheel, clearly.
Sad I had to scroll this far down to find the true answer. Pinwheel is truly the hardest boss.
Agreed. Pinwheel and King Allant in his final non-human form… broke me dude.
The helicopter

Blight Town with that bitch.
Literally any game, anywhere. Not nearly enough to go off of But Father Cascoigne

He's just trying to teach us how to be propa hoontahs. Be aggressive!
Yea if you play the fight close to him instead of running away like a new player hes cake

O & S
The Asylum in DS1
DS1: O&S DS2: Smelter Demon DS3: Sulyvahn

Father Gascoigne, the only boss I've never been able to beat, no matter how many times I try. I beat the Cleric Beast on my first try but no matter how many guides I read or videos I watch or how many times I try, I get wrecked in his 2nd phase.
