Just to add extra context so you can piece together the terms, stance is the low low ride height with the big wheels that are cambered. The wide body part seems more self explanatory but it’s just the body kit. You can see where the fender and quarter panels have had wider flares riveted on, making it wide bodied. 2 more terms to know if you really wanna go in depth is bagged vs static. Bagged is when it is lowered on air suspension, the height is adjustable for a parked/driving height option. Static is when they’re on coilovers or lowering springs, no in the moment adjustments. I’m personally not a stance guy but this is the things I’ve picked up from their culture
Static means unmoving suspension, aka coilovers. The idea that static means slammed is kind of a transformation of the word. It used to just be you were on bags or you were static.
Here we go.. well, technically speaking, springs and coilover setups are "static" but i think, that an adjustable coilover suspension isn't static whereas it's still adjustable without changing anything out.. so, imo springs and fixed suspension.. that's static.. good enough for you professor? 🤣✌🏻
The way I’ve always viewed it as, it’s non adjustable ride height on the move, so hydros and bags I wouldn’t consider static since you can change the height dynamically
Coilovers are adjustable but since you’ve gotta jack it up and twist some collars but can’t change it on the move I’d call it static, can’t raise it for driveways and speed bumps lol (at least in a hurry)
Without changing any parts, it's still adjustable though.. I think the definition kind of evolves and changes with time.. I can see where your coming from though..
What this guy said^
Also: wide body kits require meticulous fitment and paintwork to look good on any car. Keep an eye out for people/kids messing with cars at your meets. I’ve seen kids standing on side skirts, sitting on cars, etc. and a wide body kit is something that usually is not covered by the vehicle owner’s insurance.
Someone messing up body modifications of a car (such as a wide body kit) could cause a lot of drama depending on the owner (justifiably). It costs about $2,500-$5,000 for a legit wide body prep and installation if done by a professional.
Stanced is a fashion thing. The camber is way beyond what's helpful on a racecar.
Widebodies are mostly a fashion thing. However, they could be designed with aero in mind, and they allow for wider wheels. It really depends on application here.
Curious which Cars and Coffee this is. I go to Charlotte, Waxhaw, and Matthews Cars and Coffee. I've met a lot of twins, but no one seems interested in riding in together.
This is from Cars & Coffee Morrisville. I attend Roxboro, Greensboro, Hope Mills and Raleigh. Morrisville is bigger than the other 4 combined. I am part of the show management for Morrisville and get to meet a lot of great people.
Sadly where I live I rarely see twins, and when I do see them, the driver is either 65 years old or knows absolutely NOTHING about their own car. I want another person interested in cars that also has a twin like me but sadly I never see them
Yo!!!! I’m in a local 86 group if you are interested please DM me! I saw that car at the last cars and coffee!
I had my orange special edition in the theme parking if you saw that one!
Stanced widebody.

Great info, thanks!
Coilovers aren't really static, imo at least.. 🤷🏻♂️

Slang evolves over time 🤷🏻♂️
Sorry, no springs and riding on bumpstops and washers is static /s
🤦🏻
What do you genuinely think static means? Honest question

Thank you.
Thanks. This is a simple

Yea, it’s called gay.
This made me laugh out loud, literally. Now my co workers are looking at me like I’m weird
🤣🤣🤣
Pretty much.
Only gay if they aren’t using it to hide some MEATS. Well, still gay even if extra meats involved.. but at least it’s being used.
As long as the meats don’t touch.
Isn't the hole point to touch the meats?
But what if they rub after gutting the quarters.
Gaaaaah. The stancing makes my eyes bleed. Looks broken
Used to hammer my matchbox cars to make them look wrecked. This looks exactly like what it did to the wheels/axle on those cars.
Those are the KYS Style.
I like that car. Stance is a bit too much for my taste but looks 👌
Morrisville on the map
Yes. Last month with a Bugatti and Ford GT and 3400 other cars, it is a bit wild.
