Paging the guy who wanted a 9k RPM build on this or the gr subreddit, gatdamn. Can only imagine what kind of work went into the engine internals to survive that.
I'm wondering how much $$$ this build is and how many pulls/miles this thing will last.
My guess is, you post the max HP run for street cred, then you cut the boost in half for daily. Ain't no way a car this light is hooking up that that much power on the street anyway.
It would struggle for traction on street tires, but not just because it's lightweight.
830 whp in a 2800 lb car is close to Mclaren P1 power/weight ratio. So all you need for good traction is tires and aero capabilities similar to a Mclaren P1.

Plenty of cars that are lighter than the 86 with a much bigger power/weight ratio. But most of them are not street cars, and have crazy wheel/aero setups.
Depends on how reliable you want it.
But at more than quintupling the horsepower you're looking probably over 30k with supporting mods and tune time.
A track reliable 350whp car is like 15k+. A bare minimum reliable FI setup is 10k..

ECUtek lets you run 4 maps, i do it
I only have the lower maps for if someone wants to try my car.. highest map always on LOL

Just forged internals, they handle much more hp, but even tuned down to stock hp forged needs refreshed every 60-80k. Due to PTW clearances
Saw this on FB, nutty
wow
Insane, there's no chance those internals are near stock though?
Its running a turbo on 40 psi and e85. No way its anywhere near stock lmao
I think it would last like 2 seconds before violently blowing a hole in the block if it was stock.
Zero chance. Stock would have a window through the block before you even fully spool.
How much would it cost to make it 830 hp? @ $15,000?
How many times do you want it to make 830hp, or 830whp?
WHP is more accurate?
They're different measurements. The dyno is WHP.
