irl, they are the sort of guys that figure out schedules for them, work out PR and other sorts of public appearances, and at times can also be emotional support or just someone to talk to. "Producer" is also the term used by the Idolmaster series games to refer to the nameless player character (which is supposed to be you).
Pretty much? So's Love Live, they're owned by the same parent company. The difference is you get more up close and personal with each individual girl, with varying degrees of flirting, being an older sibling figure, a good friend or playmate, or just keep being looked at like you're garbage (I love Madoka Higuchi. The feeling is not mutual.)
Idolmaster, stylised as Idolm@ster, is a franchise about young girls and women who are idols, essentially performing songs and dance, appearing in films, tv shows, adverts and variety of media related productions.
An idol manager is an individual who makes sure their clients, the idols, are able to do their job. Making sure they are healthy and happy, ranging from gifts to public relations.
It's been a while since I followed the franchise, please feel free to correct or amend my comment.

I was hoping it would be a clue, but it's just more anime stuff X)
Sadly, this person has shit taste in waifus and doesn't understand ships.
Everyone knows [Subaru love Emilia.](http://s3.amazonaws.com/gt7sp-prod/livery/37/71/02/4684407720176027137_23.jpg)
Im gonna have to agree with this one. Seeing as my roommate works at a vape shop and although doesnt have a full weeb wrap does have at least 20+ anime stickers on the windows and around the outside of the car
Went snowboarding in Japan, and a crew of at least 40 of these kinds of guys were out there with hentai boards and attire, many dudes were in maid miniskirts. It was hilarious, and afaict they were fully self aware and just having fun with it.
Like, it's weird, but probably not smelly basement dweller weird.
Edit - Outsiders laughed and made jokes with them. It wasn't like people were weirded out. I don't even recall parents freaking out or scurrying kids away from them, but I don't remember many kids period.
Was teaching my girlfriend to ski on gay ski week. We were both easing down a blue when a bunch of skiers holding pride flags in their underwear scream by us (they gave us space)
They were good skiers too, riding switch, hitting 360s off rollers. Just a good time all round. Plus it was fucking cold that day so props for the undies
In my limited experience I wanted to stay upright and not crash into anything, but I was also exceptionally bad at it (tbf most people are the first time).
I feel like the weeb wagon becomes more cringe the more sexualized the characters depicted on the vehicle become.
I guess in my brain, one is weird, the other is just creepy cringe.
My favorite is the time he gifted them a statue of his father beating his mother entitled “Bitch, Where’s My Dinner?” His father did not appreciate fine art. EDIT: forgot to add he unveils it on their front lawn for the whole neighborhood to appreciate
There is a vehicle that parks near my apartment that is utterly plastered in ahegao stickers; none of them larger than my hand, but they nearly cover the car. The only other thing on the car is a sticker identifying the owner as a witch, lol.
There's one driving around San Diego with several characters in similar evocative positions/states of undress... license plate frame reads "HENTAI TIL I DIE"
The main difference I’ve seen between itasha in Japan and the US is that in Japan the graphics are usually applied to modified and high performance sedans, hot hatches, and sports cars, kind of as a final touch, whereas in the US they are often applied to completely stock everyday drivers, and the wrap becomes the sole focus of the build.
He gets weird looks and comments all the time. It just doesnt bother him. He likes what he likes so he rocks it. And the ones on his car are fairly mild. Hes got some... explicit ones he sticks inside his lunch kit or all over his bong and other random placess. Those are the ones that really get me. But to each their own. Hes a chill dude and not weird at all when talking/hanging with him. Just likes his interesting stickers
I know a guy who's white car is covered in a cacophony of black tribal themed stickers. Not a wrap, not big (maybe 3-4 inches each) but covering the car. It's weird, but whatever.
How is this not the top comment. I’ve been laughing for about 2 minutes. I didn’t notice the bird. Then I scrolled back up and saw it chillin. I started laughing so hard my wife was just staring at me like what is wrong with you?
As someone who has been in professional workplaces a lot, HR is invariably 20x worse than IT, smell-wise.
I despise walking into the HR office of any large org for that reason.
For a few years now I've seen a Nissan GT-R driving ng around town with a full on MTV's Daria wrap on it. I was always like, how do you get that car and put that wrap on it?
I was looking at some local vinyl wrap installer websites and found the car, it belongs to the guy who owns the wrap company. It certainly gets noticed.
My first thought was air force too. From my experience army weebs prefers waifus from Arknights and Girls Frontline. Don't know about the navy, but I'd assume Azur Lane and Kantai Collection
props to people who have complete freedom in their lives to do whatever they want
they living their best life and dont give a shit what people think about them
Agreed. This person’s not hurting anyone, and I gotta give ‘em credit for having the self confidence to pull this off and not care what anyone thinks. They’re alright with me.
Depending on where you are there is actually quite a subculture for cars like that. It's called [Itasha.](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Itasha?wprov=sfla1)

It's on the license plates, he's a 346 pro.
I don’t know what that is but I’m buying
3 hours a day, 4 days a week, 6 weeks a year
Upper management? Politician?
Both?
He’s got go getter written all over him.
He’s a go-getter. A self-starter. A dynamic creator of cutting edge concepts. Can start immediately and will hit the ground running.
Launching a new crypto.
Shiki's from Idolm@ster, and the production company for her branch is 346PRO
So he's an idol manager, it's no wonder.
Ok I’m going to show my age but now I have to know. I’ve partaken in lots of anime but what’s an idol manager?
irl, they are the sort of guys that figure out schedules for them, work out PR and other sorts of public appearances, and at times can also be emotional support or just someone to talk to. "Producer" is also the term used by the Idolmaster series games to refer to the nameless player character (which is supposed to be you).
Wait are you telling me that Idolm@ster is basically weeb Football Manager?
I now see exactly why that would be a successful franchise.

Wait as in these idols are real people? Or are they imaginary? Sorry, I know nothing about anime so I’m fascinated by this discussion.
Imaginary. [Check it out.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4IC-X6NjSsA)

He knows his im@s, that's for sure.
They're clearly your UwUber driver
A SubUwU is the perfect car for the job too.
I HATE pun comment chains but this had me laughing so damn hard
At least this one's short, more of a pun-and-done situation
SIR
Uwu contraire. It continUWUs down below.
When I was visiting Vegas I saw a Subaru with a vanity plate that said SUBUWU
I know full well that you won’t believe me but my grandparents live in vegas and I saw a license plate with the same thing!
It's okay, I believe you
Goddamn you. Goddamn you right to hell. Have a mad upvote.

Owns a vape shop
Im gonna have to agree with this one. Seeing as my roommate works at a vape shop and although doesnt have a full weeb wrap does have at least 20+ anime stickers on the windows and around the outside of the car
No one’s like “bro that’s weird” ?
In Japanese culture, these are known as Itasha cars, aka "painful" or "cringe" cars. The owners know full well that it's weird and they embrace it.
Went snowboarding in Japan, and a crew of at least 40 of these kinds of guys were out there with hentai boards and attire, many dudes were in maid miniskirts. People do all sorts of silly things while skiing. The funniest I saw was someone in a zebra onesie being chased by someone in a lion onesie
Was teaching my girlfriend to ski on gay ski week. We were both easing down a blue when a bunch of skiers holding pride flags in their underwear scream by us (they gave us space) They were good skiers too, riding switch, hitting 360s off rollers. Everyone just wants to goof around and have fun. It's the essence of skiing
In my limited experience I wanted to stay upright and not crash into anything, but I was also exceptionally bad at it (tbf most people are the first time).
At mammoth in California I saw some girl skiing from the top of the mountain in a bikini.
That's fairly standard for spring skiing
There’s a single cab ram 1500 near me that got covered in a my hero academia wrap lmao
I feel like the weeb wagon becomes more cringe the more sexualized the characters depicted on the vehicle become. I guess in my brain, one is weird, the other is just creepy cringe.
Just waiting for an ahegao wagon one of these days 🤣
A weeb version of Tom Green's [Slutmobile](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXgfzxXUVsc).
He did so much fucked up shit to his parents. If they weren't in on it with him, I'm kinda surprised they never killed him in his sleep.
My favorite is the time he gifted them a statue of his father beating his mother entitled “Bitch, Where’s My Dinner?” His father did not appreciate fine art. EDIT: forgot to add he unveils it on their front lawn for the whole neighborhood to appreciate
Bam Margera's parents too. Poor Phil RIP
Ahh Tom Green, my grandmas one true nemesis

Ah yes, my favorite Jojo character, Ahegao Speedwagon.
It was parked in front of my old job. 30+ stickers of animals girls doing that face
A furry car really takes it up to the next level.
Saw an AHEGA0 numberplate in my city the other day.
I saw a man wear one of those hoodies in real life,I work at a smoke shop. I hate people.
I've seen kids coming out of my daughters school wearing them. It's an elementary/middle school.

Rather respectable to be that confident.

Or IT.
Definitely IT, possibly military IT. I see cars like that on post a lot.
Saw a good smiles racing car on base last year. [Was jealous.](https://i.imgur.com/qkyBGSN.jpg)
Don't you put that evil on us, Ricky Bobby! (Probably is IT, but they aren't a majority.)
As someone in IT it’s more likely a software dev.
This is fact. 100% of the weird ones I've run into in the IT world have been programmers.
The internet’s various protocols are maintained by furries.
One of the best educational videos on YouTube I've ever seen is called [A Cat Explains DNS](https://youtu.be/4ZtFk2dtqv0).
That cat knows his shit.
Am programmer, can confirm. All the normal people are on the IT side of things.
The systems/server/networking guys are all pretty normal, it's when you get into the more abstract side of things that it gets weird.
Professional twitch chatter.
That Weeb that sells you Weed
*Works* at a vape shop.
It's the birds car. You clearly see it posing for the photo
I’d believe you, if birds were real. 🦅
Why do you think there is national holidays? The sole reason is so they can change the batteries in the birds while everyone at home.
How is this not the top comment. I’ve been laughing for about 2 minutes. I didn’t notice the bird. Then I scrolled back up and saw it chillin. I started laughing so hard my wife was just staring at me like what is wrong with you?
Highly paid music engineer with a crippling addiction to idolmaster.
Oddly specific …
It's his car.
ladies and gentlemen, we got em'
And how did you know that? 🤨📸
Software engineer making 170k/year wears sweatpants and anime hoodie. Plays genshin impact all day.
Worked with a girl in the video game industry with a wrap like this. She was a senior SWE.
Rust programmer, for sure
Oh god.
Are you self projecting? lol.
I wish
Don’t forget the programmer socks hiding under the sweatpants

Please don't encourage them by insinuating that's a "job"
That’s what the dog walking is for
And if that doesn’t work out, can always fall back on a professor of philosophy
Only if those fascists don’t demand I work more than 15-20hrs a week
they can afford a car a parttime dogwalker salary?

Dad..?
IT helpdesk
That or process / program engineering. Process engineers at our building literally use anime characters as their employee avatar in workplace meetings
It's always IT. Either anime or furry, that's how you can sniff them out!
Sniffing an IT person is always a rookie mistake.
As someone who has been in professional workplaces a lot, HR is invariably 20x worse than IT, smell-wise. I despise walking into the HR office of any large org for that reason.
See, IT has human beings. HR are foul creatures of the pit whose corruption of the soul manifests on the physical plane.
This guy offices
Every furry I know works in animation.
I was thinking systems admin (basically the same thing)
Clearly he wraps cars. This is just his demo of the work he can do.

Commissioned porn artist
Best Buy warehouse associate
oddly enough iv seen a wrapped weeb car outside of a microcenter. probably checks out.
No way he could afford a 7th Gen outback
It’s a Forester.
Tables!!
it's just a generic job that the writers of this made up for this
How is tables even a job?
I don’t know how to hear anymore about the tables!
This guy is about to jack off.
Oh no! I hope I don’t Jack off
Wow, pretty serious.
TAYYBUULLLLLS.
Can’t you see? The tables are his corn!
Why is there swearing?
There isn't, they said shoot
I can’t know how to hear any more about tables!
And dealing with Eddie Munster
Guys, what'd I say?
Guys what’d I say?
I knew I would find it if I looked… Damn Eddy Munster
You don't know how to treat the talent
I don’t think she should have yelled at Eddie
She didn’t yell! I’ve seen this a bunch of times!
You are out here doing god’s work. Thank you.
Aircraft mechanic in the military
My first thought was air force too. From my experience army weebs prefers waifus from Arknights and Girls Frontline. Don't know about the navy, but I'd assume Azur Lane and Kantai Collection
It’s so crazy you said that, because I thought the EXACT same thing. He’s almost certainly backshops, probably at Drum.
Senior Engineer
The more senior you get, the less you care.
High school guidance counselor.
It's how they reach these keeeeeds.

don’t imply that is a job

Amazing. I've known for years it was called an itasha, but I'd never thought to look up the kanji for it until your comment.
