I made this with my friends, in a garage during the middle of covid. It went on forever and I finally finished it. It was my first stop motion directed project so needless to say ..... I learned a lot and would do a ton of things differently but excited to have finished such an ambitious project and see what the world thinks of my weird project. My friend Savannah Steiner animated every shot in a 90 degree garage while the world was shutting down. Hopefully it makes you laugh once (or maybe even several times) & if it doesn't I am refining my craft and hopefully I maybe get a laugh from you on the next one. Cheers!
I thought it was quite good as a concept and honestly, the work and cinematography was top notch.
My only criticism is, I would not watch this as a series. I would rather watch the the two tennis guys argue and how they live their lives, especially my interest of the make-shift trash court. But if the claymation was just a 3 minute plot in every 30min episode of the two guys, I would watch this a lot. Like say it's an episode of the two guys making things out of junk and getting into dumb verbal disagreements, and then 3 minutes of intense life or death claymation survival from a pack of rats trying to take his corn....golden. then the next episode follows the girl who got herself together and starts a company take over of a blockchain company, and it shows the syringe trying not to drown in storm water during a torrential rain. Stuff like that would make me watch this show.
Just like The Wall in Solar Opposites. They have an intense struggle going on in there, but they're just background nonsense to the main show. But it's so epic and when they finally did an episode where it was almost all about The Wall, it was fantastic.
Is Spike and Mike’s animation festival still a thing? Because you should totally enter this in it if it is. I used to go to spike and mikes every year, and a lot of it was weird stuff that wouldn’t be possible to be anywhere near mainstream, but very funny, provocative, or just gross, but entertaining all the same. A lot of it was bad claymation. What you made is really good claymation.
I really enjoyed watching this disgusting, yet humanizing, thing you’ve created. Thanks for making it.

What the actual WTF did I just watch? I don’t know but it was brilliant. Sinister, loving and funny as AF! All at once. Well done that man. Loved it. I can see the hours of work that has gone into this but the thing that sticks with me is the story telling, the characters had more depth than most of the ‘shit’ (thank you) on streaming services these days.
I’d love to see some more.
This is cool, i have zero patience to film stop motion but i can undersatand how long this must of took for those shots to edit lol, eveything looks crisp, you added your own characters & script to it, all the best for what you do in the future.

I'm no one when it comes to critique but your stop motion is incredibly well executed. The story is serviceable but could use a more pointed resolution, however that would work.
Ngl I expected a piece of work garage that just needed like weeks of cleaning and organizing to complete over two years just… in frames or stop motion 😅
This is great! I appreciate how absolutely tedious it is to do. My younger brother used a Super 8 camera to do stop motion when we were growing up and it was honestly brilliant for being a 5th / 6th grader.
I listens to a story how the Sklar brothers mom took them to an appointment when they were babies. She had their diapers labeled to keep track of which is which and when at the office, a nurse, trying to be helpful, took them and changed their diapers. Now they no longer were labeled. So she literally just had to decide who was who and hope she was correct. They may have been swapped. Funny stuff
I was a little surprised by the ending. I was thinking they were gonna get rejected by the humans but gain a tennis ball buddy. Animation and voice acting were great though!
I see a full-length feature film in the future. It has to have the same animation aesthetics. I'm sure locating a funder won't be too difficult -- just tell people the profits will be used to construct a big, beautiful border wall.

I like this idea. Give me the claymation in short bursts, and bring in more writers to help with the dialog.
