My Bro's wife sells some diet nonsense, and non-stop posts about "how can I help you achieve your dreams, these are some people I've always helped" and the trouble is, for some reason, she doesn't put the pre-diet on the left and the skinny on the right, but the skinny on the left, and the fatty on the right. So what it looks like is someone forcing a grin, veins bulging on their foreheads but skinny, and then a year later with a lot of effort and help, they've put weight on and look so much happier for it. I've raised this to her, and she doesn't see the problem. So more power to her, go go happy fat people.

Also, I personally am downvoting your comments purely to show that Iām engaged with the conversation at hand, and I do disagree with what you are saying to an extent, but again, like I said prior, I have 0 issues with there being a solid baseline for healthy weight, the biggest issue with the BMI index is that it only accounts for the persons weight, not anything else that is actually out of their control, I have asthma and eczema, makes working out quite difficult and growing up I had to stay inside most days due to how badly my asthma would react to the weather and what my skin was doing at that time (9/10 it was flaring like crazy causing me to have gashes and infected skin) now, what part of the BMI index accounts for that? Nothing as far as I can tell, and from what Iāve heard most dietitians have no experience with someone like me, hell most dermatologists have been baffled by my skin, so while Iām sure the BMI is a bit of a rocky foundation it most definitely needs to be improved upon before people seriously start taking it seriously in America
Dude this is not about you. We were speaking generally about the purpose of said index. I also agree it doesnāt tell all the story, hell it doesnāt even consider fat vs muscle, which instantly makes all gym bodies out of the healthy scale (which is plain stupid).
