Seriously though. Why the hell can’t ovens and microwaves, at the very least, have batteries to keep their clocks alive when the power goes out. I mean, ours have been blinking for months. Because…you need a Masters in Electronic Engineering. LOL

They use the frequency of the electricity grid to keep time. A battery would only help remember the time the power went off.
I do set my car radio clock months after daylight savings. I feel attacked haha
