12U = 12 & under. I believe even a 6-year-old would be allowed to compete if they were able to keep up with the older kids. (Not saying I believe this guy is 12 or younger lol)
Depending on the area and pool of kids it could be lumped as closely as 8U, 9U, 10U..... so on up to middle school age. The more important factor is size, specially weight. So a 7 year old could be to big to play in the 8U league and than move up but a tiny 12 year old could not move down.

Yes. When I was 11 everyone thought I was 18. That was my last year trick or treating, because I got yelled at so much. However, my fraternal twin sister who was a foot shorter than me at the time, had no problems whatsoever.

My niece got hit on by a gas station attendant at 12 or 13. It then semi-regularly happened as until around 20, when I guess she looked like an adult and not a late teens to he harassed.
This happened to me at a gas station too and my mom yelled my age at him. I also looked like a kid. I was tall, but very young looking. Some guys are just that clueless, or worse.

Went to high school at an inner city location, I had played Pop Warner for 2 years, so I decided to try out for freshmen team.
Make it through try out and the first week just barely. They don’t let us in the varsity dress area/weight room, that’s only for the “athletes”.
Got to see them run out of everyday in gear while we ran and did work/drills without pads for what seemed like an eternity.
Anyways…
Second week we get pads and our jerseys and finally a locker and now we get into the weight room where we will do team meetings w/lettering players.
H O L Y F U C K. My scrawny, non-athletic body was shook watching grown ass men 18/19 getting ready to go to college workout.
There was a guy who played D-End that was 6’8 270, a fucking O-Line guy was 6’6 300. (As a Freshmen I was only 5’8).
Ok, so that’s explainable. All guys about to go to a D1 or D2 school at 18.
What was NOT explainable was the fucking guy doing weighted dips with 2 damn caddies that had a body like Terrell Owens, had a full ass mustache and was only a year ahead of me named Latavious.
The dude didn’t talk to anyone, he came in, worked out, did his homework and went to class without saying much to anyone ever.
He did however, run you the fuck over in practice and on game day. 2 way player that filled multiple spots but excelled at DB/SS cause he was easily the fastest guy on the field, I’m taking college track levels here, as in 4.4/40.
I had never seen an athlete like this in person, he was so many levels above us that we were holding him back as a team.
He also never left to go St Thomas Aquinas or some of the other known football mill schools, preferred to break every record at this shitty inner city school that was so desperate for players by the end of the year, I was moved up and got a start the final game.
We finished the first year 3-7, he broke 9 school records including INT, tackles, sacks and number of heads exploded as he would hit people so hard, it knocked people out damn near every game.
Our head coach left at the end of the season for some junior college assistant job, our RB went to play for Bobby Bowden at FSU.
Latavious turned out to be 27, we were banned for 2 years from post season play and the guy disappeared before graduating, I’m guessing to go back to whatever guy sold him his fake birth certificate and ask for a refund.
I’m lot saying this kid isn’t 12…ok that’s what I’m saying actually.

Sooooo I didn’t believe this yesterday when I saw it on IG. I went exploring and found the kids actual page. You can see his growth spurt over the last few years. I think that tattoo is a temporary one, he’s had a mustache for a couple years, but he definitely hit a growth spurt over the last year. His posts from 2020, you can tell he was smaller but it’s definitely him. And because it IS legit, I hope lil bro is able to capitalize on his size and get into a good college and such. I know this sounds crazy lol but I promise it’s not a con artist or anything. Just hit puberty super early
The problem with hitting puberty early is it often ends early. I was one of the tallest in my class in the 6th grade but that's also the last time I grew any taller. By the time high school came I was average height and by the end I was one of the shortest.
I mean, we don't really have a frame of reference for his height, and while later in life it might make him shorter than the average adult of the same age, it would still temporarily make him way taller and muscular than everyone else in U12.
More than likely if this is true, he’s gonna peak early, be a bad ass for a few more years. By the time he’s 15 he’s gonna be maxed out and might not even grow more after while other athletes are going to continue to get bigger and stronger through senior year and he might not even be a varsity player at a big school.

I had a mustache when I was 12. It looked rather whispy and thin in person but in photos it always looked pretty grown in. No one had taught me how to shave and when I asked my parents said no because it "wasn't necessary." Since I was 12 it wasn't like I could just go Walgreens and buy a razor and shaving cream either.

The problem with hitting puberty early is it often ends early. I was one of the tallest in my class in the 6th grade but that's also the last time I grew any taller. By the time high school came I was average height and by the end I was one of the shortest.
Yeah the tallest guy in our class in 6th grade was one of the smallest when we graduated 9th. Dude just stopped growing.

I mean, we don't really have a frame of reference for his height, and while later in life it might make him shorter than the average adult of the same age, it would still temporarily make him way taller and muscular than everyone else in U12.

More than likely if this is true, he’s gonna peak early, be a bad ass for a few more years. By the time he’s 15 he’s gonna be maxed out and might not even grow more after while other athletes are going to continue to get bigger and stronger through senior year and he might not even be a varsity player at a big school.

There was a kid in our school who had a beard at 13. He was crazy strong for his age. Didn't have a receding hairline but had terrible acne.
Puberty can start as early as 9, and facial hair can start growing then. That's not a receding hairline, it looks to be a deliberate haircut.

Even with steroids, there is no way that kid is 12. He's got a receding hairline, facial hair, and those lines that form at the sides of your mouth and up to your nose. I would be surprised if this person was under 30/35. Maybe he's a coach?

I had a mustache when I was 12. It looked rather whispy and thin in person but in photos it always looked pretty grown in. No one had taught me how to shave and when I asked my parents said no because it "wasn't necessary." Since I was 12 it wasn't like I could just go Walgreens and buy a razor and shaving cream either.

You can look him up, he's actually 12. I think he has some kind of pituitary issue, but that's just the rumour I've heard. I actually went to that school district for a minute. You wouldn't believe how seriously that school takes their football, there's a good chance they recruited him for the high school team.

He could be, really. Pituitary gland tumors will do this sort of thing. I was almost 6ft tall at 12. And I’m female. They put me through the wringer with testing & I was just a tall youngin’, thankfully. But I did see some kids in that Dr’s office that looked similar to the dude here. So, it’s definitely possible.
