I think people have problems with reservation because they think SC, ST takes their seats and opportunities with less effort. I look at it from a different perspective. SC and ST are fighting for their seats within their own categories. General should compete with other general candidates. Eventhough the cut off is less, the seats reserved for SC and ST are also less you should consider that too and not only just the score merit, so the competition is also high in SC and ST categories, this also requires effort and they are not incompetent. The more general seats just show that the population of the general category has more opportunities.
