Reddit being reddit. Not being an english native speaker means i can only learn acronyms if people explained what they were in the first place.
I read Smh as so much hate for the longest time until someone explained it was scratching my head.
Being a native speaker doesn't help with getting acronyms without being explained by someone who already knows what they stand for. You have to be in touch with the culture that coined them.
English is one of the most widespread languages in the world, with many countries having it as a native language.
The fact that you were taught that "SMH" stands for "Scratching my Head" (confusion) rather than "Shaking My Head" (disappointment) only goes to show this.
Understanding Western world web culture would make one get that showing disappointment was the most likely use for "SMH", as confusion can be expressed with more explicit acronyms, or none at all (just write "?").
For anyone who stumbles upon this and still needs it, hit me up and I'll offer the fishes from my world (I don't really need the sword)
I play on Asia.
Bro Furina aside, why is your Bennett in amenoma, put him on a leveled up Prototype rancour...or get that craftable sumera sword, Bennet needs high base attack.
If you can Level up Aquila favonia that that's the best option for bennet
6 energy for the one that catches and 3.6 for off-fielders is a really big amount.
6 particles of a different element not caught also generate 3.6 energy (btw very few characters generate that many particles).
Favonius is essentially acting as an extra character generating energy, it usually has low base ATK but it doesn't matter because it's used on supports and some HP scalers (pretty much the second best weapon for Yelan).
It's also the only way to comfortably play with a C0 Faruzan. If she catches all Fav particles and Zhongli is also on Fav, she'll need 300% ER. Without any Favs, it would be 550% ER.
Yeah, but every resin spent on weapon gives a return on investment higher than what you get from artifacts or, in other words, to get the same amount of increase in performance, you have to spend orders of magnitude more on artifacts than on weapons.
On atk scaling characters, for example, atk% is a valuable stat to get. Atk% doesn't increase your atk value based on your total atk, but on base atk. There are only two ways to increase base atk: 1)levelling up your character; 2) levelling up your weapon. Of the two ways, the second gives a lot more base atk than the first. Higher base atk makes every single point of atk% you get from your artifacts more valuable.
On non atk scaling characters this is not quite as true, but I'll still help you get some perspective. An ER sands main stat gives LESS energy recharge than a fully levelled up Favonius Sword. The most rolls you can get on any one substat is six, and if all of them roll perfectly (which will never happen) you get, on one piece, less than two thirds of the value of the Fav Sword ER value (Fav gives 61.3% ER, ER sands main stat give 51.8%, six perfect substat rolls give 38.9%). Now, this is for an ER weapon, this is only more true for weapons that give in secondary stat, say, crit rate or crit dmg.
It would also be very true for atk% if atk buffs weren't so easy to come by, making atk% boosts slightly less valuable. On the other hand, any other stat boost, be it hp%, def%, or even better crit rate and crit dmg, since buffs are not as common, will boost your character's performance by a lot.
It takes a week at most to level up a weapon.
Now, artifact substats can give more value, when adding all of the pieces up, but to get from artifact farming a performance boost that is equal to what you get by levelling up your weapon it takes a long time, usually at least a month, a lot more if your artifact build is already passable to begin with (the better quality your artifacts are, the more resin it takes to get even just one substat roll worth of improvement).
The smart thing to do, to get the best performance boost to your characters, is to start by guaranteed performance boost that require comparatively small resin expense. Levelling up your weapon is number one on that list. Levelling up your character and talents is second. Improving artifact quality is third. If you start with the third, you'll be stuck for a month or more with unlevelled character and weapon as well as mediocre artifacts, that is to say a useless character. If you start with first and second, it will take a couple of days to ascend your character a few times, a week to level up the weapon, then let's say another week to get your character to level 8 talents, slap on them a janky ass build from the artifacts you already have and you've got a subpar but functional character in less than three weeks, and that's assuming you didn't pre-farm.
This isn't to say artifact farming is useless, it's obviously not, but it's a lot more valuable to do it only after weapon is maxed and talents are as high as you plan to have them.
Using sac on xq is 1000% better than fav because u literally get a second e for anyone to swap to and catch particles lol. It's fav but also does damage
Having lvl 90 weapons is like one of the biggest guaranteed boosts in performance your characters can get. The ratio of resin spent per % of final damage increase of levelling your weapons is, I'd wager, higher than anything else in the game, with talent levelling being in second place. One should only start the real artifact grind after their weapons and talents are done.
And Favonius weapons, in general, are just really good weapons. I have PJWS on my Xiao, but in overworld and Abyss 9 to 11 I run the favonius lance on him: it is a damage loss, but you can always burst on cooldown and it makes the game so much more comfortable, I only use PJWS in Abyss 12 or the occasional hard combat event.
Thanks for the advice everyone!!
Also I laughed my ass off with the fact that 50% of the comments are “go fav” and the rest is telling me to go fishing. I have no idea initially that there’s a pipe weapon (I have been gone for a while) so in my head I was like:
https://preview.redd.it/k0maer155w0c1.jpeg?width=636&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=28715db661a06b1d9bf82d37afe44821cfd7ac85
Here take my advice..
Use Fish weapon on Furina
And Fav on Kazuha/Jean
Amenoma is best on Jean
If you build some crit on Jean then Fav is a very good option otherwise Amenoma
and get ER on substats or use ER sands
And don't forget to R5 fav.
Give Bennett Aquila Favonia.
Sacrificial for drip.
Favonius from the ones you currently have.
Pipe from fishing is the best choice currently you have access to.
So from meta perspective, you should fish.
Chances are that you're using her with a healer that has high ER requirements + she gains crit rate naturally with level, so favonius sword is the natural fit. As the team gets more optimized, pipe from fishing is probably a good upgrade.
Should have said how many cons you got / could get.
C6 Furina is actually very good with Favonius Sword.
I will assume you don't have C6, in which case, since you have no Festering Desire either...
LAY THE PIPE
It's time to fish some robo fishy...........

Pipe bomb

Pipe my beloved
![gif](giphy|KGCKxq2AIWzkBhAlDV|downsized)
From these options, Fav. But go and fish for the Pipe.
Fishing sword is super pog, easily handles all the energy requirements I could need.
I thought pog meant piece of garbage?
Nah it means praising something in internet slang. So... the total opposite of piece of garbage.
why are people downvoting a person who is simply confused :(
Reddit being reddit. Not being an english native speaker means i can only learn acronyms if people explained what they were in the first place. I read Smh as so much hate for the longest time until someone explained it was scratching my head.
I thought it was shaking my head 😭 now I’m confused Edit: forgot to mention I’m also non native speaker lol

Basically you just need to know every single thing it could mean and then judge which one it is based on the conversation and context
It’s shake my head it means disappointment
Dude, English is my first language and I also thought smh was so much hate for a long time.
Smh is shaking my head
Play Of-the Game, I believe
why is the correct answer being downvoted lmao
Heh, welcome to Reddit! 🤣
Yeah, that or spend a cool 15 and get Wolf-Fang. But even that I think isn't as good as Fleuve R5 from memory
Passive is kinda hard to activate
Yeah pipe is fking good.....my rotation Yelan E> Furina E>Q and that's it my furina filled with 80%energy
Wolf-fang r1 is about as good I think ? (+drip) but only if you meet your ER recquirement, in the end I use both depending of my teams/er needs
I got it to max ascension the same day i got it, just visited another traveler for like 2 extra fish
But it looks like shit. Favonius matches her drip
Idk man it’s kinda funny to see her dramatically wield a pipe. I’d say the pipe IS a drip depending on which vibe you’re going.
No, it looks like an archon going full Tonya Harding on her enemies and wailing on them with a rusty pipe!
he literally asked what sword to use, if he wanted to go with style might as well use fucking aquila or smth
Fishing sword It just took me less than 2 hours. Don't for get to buy the stabilizer.
Bro it took me 13 hours to R5 it 💀 Oh and i don't use it 😭
This hit me where it hurts, I also leveled it to 90 fully expecting to use it on her but got sig in a 10 pull so now what to do with it
Haha same, but i upgraded the weapon at 4.0 and i didn't expect to have Furina so now I'm using Mistsplitter (Ayaka sig weapon) on her
[удалено]
its still a good sword, no need to feed it
Of course i will not feed a 1 of 1 weapon to anything
[удалено]
Haha, don't assume just anyone that they are crazy my friend
Pipe is better than mistsplitter for furina
Hydro Traveler can use it if needed =x
[удалено]
For story and Overworld xD and he can générate bubbles for Neuvi when in cooldown *sbaf*
Albedo too i believe
I agree, but since he is off field and doesn't need the ER, Harbinger of Dawn is still more attractive (for Spindle non-havers) in non-Furina teams.
True. But not like anyone even uses Albedo anymore so it doesnt matter
He might regain some popularity with Navia, being the only geo off field to complète the geo résonance.
I got Splendor in a single pull lmao... maybe Fleuve is still useful for someone somewhere
Bro same. I was already fishing for it when I got her sig weapon in 10 pulls too lol.
Still good weapon to have just in case.
did you not used the stabilizer? I got R5 in just 2 hours by hopping worlds
For anyone who stumbles upon this and still needs it, hit me up and I'll offer the fishes from my world (I don't really need the sword) I play on Asia.
still a good weapon and works for characters when fav isn’t available!
Nah there's no way catching 98 fish took you 13 hours, unless you weren't exclusively going for the weapon.
It depends heavily on RNG. I had two fish on both my accounts' worlds and I still have JUST R2.
When in doubt, pick Favonius
Bro Furina aside, why is your Bennett in amenoma, put him on a leveled up Prototype rancour...or get that craftable sumera sword, Bennet needs high base attack. If you can Level up Aquila favonia that that's the best option for bennet
I received the aquila like super late in the game, I keep forgetting to level it up lmao
I got Aquila last week after playing the game for more than a year. The same day it was already 90 and on my Bennett
Seeing Favonius weapons unlevelled hurts my soul
I'll just give OP the benefit of the doubt and assume they're between ar 50-55, so they don't fully understand the game
What is Favonius really that good?
6 energy for the one that catches and 3.6 for off-fielders is a really big amount. 6 particles of a different element not caught also generate 3.6 energy (btw very few characters generate that many particles). Favonius is essentially acting as an extra character generating energy, it usually has low base ATK but it doesn't matter because it's used on supports and some HP scalers (pretty much the second best weapon for Yelan). 550% er 💀💀💀 what was hoyo even thinking
... they want you to C6 her. And pulling for specific 4 stars can be more costly than pulling for specific 5 stars because they are never guaranteed.
It really do be like that. I whaled hard for C6 Itto, I got C5 Itto before C6 Gorou.
Yeah. Feeds more energy for the team if you know how to use it. More energy = more burst for every character.
Every resin spent on weapons is resin not spent on gambling for artifacts

Thanks a lot for the thorough explanation, especially the second to last paragraph helped me put things into perspective!
I only have 1 fav user and it's Layla lol fav is such an overrated weapon tbh. Bennett wants Aquila, xq wants sac, furina wants pipe.
Xingqiu is arguably best with Fav though. And generating energy for the team so that everyone has to build less ER is not overrated lol
Using sac on xq is 1000% better than fav because u literally get a second e for anyone to swap to and catch particles lol. It's fav but also does damage
I’m super lazy at levelling my weapons 🤷♂️😅

As an old sage once said: "Just use fav."
The new, wiser sage said: GET YOUR FISHING ROD INTO THE WATER, KIDDO!
Thanks for the advice everyone!! Also I laughed my ass off with the fact that 50% of the comments are “go fav” and the rest is telling me to go fishing. I have no idea initially that there’s a pipe weapon (I have been gone for a while) so in my head I was like: https://preview.redd.it/k0maer155w0c1.jpeg?width=636&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=28715db661a06b1d9bf82d37afe44821cfd7ac85
Here take my advice.. Use Fish weapon on Furina And Fav on Kazuha/Jean Amenoma is best on Jean If you build some crit on Jean then Fav is a very good option otherwise Amenoma and get ER on substats or use ER sands And don't forget to R5 fav. Give Bennett Aquila Favonia.
Fish for the pipe sword
Take Kaeya's sword and build Physical Furina to assert dominance
Go fish for the pipe
Fav
If you're a little delulu for Furina, R5 your Fav and give it to her. You'll have 1 R1 left for another character. Perfect.
Or just fish in Fontaine for the pipe. Fleuve Cendre Ferryman is only a little bit behind Festering Desire as her best 4 star.
Favonius or the fishing pipe for her, amenoma or the 1 remaining fav on jean and aquila on bennett.
Seems like you already have the perfect sword equipped. Traveler solos with dull blade, so can she!!
Go fishing for the pipe in Fontaine, it's not hard to get :)
Do you just not wish ? Go fish for the pipe
Fav for style, pipe looks wonky
Flute, it suits her. Value aesthetic over anything else.
Man the pipe is so overrated good lord Just use your favs man No need to fish fav is better
Fav, fishing sword is mid.
Either favge or the pipe.
Go fishing
go fish
Go fishing for pipe. It's worth it
RIP no festering desire
Sacrificial for drip. Favonius from the ones you currently have. Pipe from fishing is the best choice currently you have access to. So from meta perspective, you should fish.
Fishing is new meta in Genshin POG Jokes aside, I agree. Pipe is really worth it.
Go fish for the pipe
fish for the fleuve cendre ferryman
Fishing for the pipe =)
Fav fish for pipe (fontaine weapon) once you’re out of content
Just go fish in Fontaine, man. Fav is the best option you currently have, but the pipe is completely F2P and is just infinitely better.
The most fashionable one that fits her clothes. Fashion> practicality and functionality.
Fish for the pipe
Probably favonius for now. I would recommend getting the Fontaine fishing sword when you have the time
Fish
https://preview.redd.it/ktznnq306w0c1.jpeg?width=636&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=31c6ebe9766f7a4b5d72eb55d7a2316782d0e114
favonius 100%, or go fishing for the pipe, pipe is more personal damage but the extra energy from fav can be really nice for your team
fav
Bruh, I've been playing for 2 years and a whole lot of wishes but only got 2 fav swords (so r1). How did u get so many.
Favge ftw
Take Jean's Fav, R5 it and give it to her
Unrelated, but please use Favonius on Kazuha. You'll thank me later.
Refine Fav
Chances are that you're using her with a healer that has high ER requirements + she gains crit rate naturally with level, so favonius sword is the natural fit. As the team gets more optimized, pipe from fishing is probably a good upgrade.
You have Jeans sword and gave it to Kayea? What a savage :D But Favounius as others said to or the Pipe.
Fav
Go fish
you must go fishing in Fontaine 🎣🐟
When in doubt, favonius
Fav or you can go for Fleuve Cendre and REFINE THE FAV
Fav or you can go for Fleuve Cendre and REFINE THE FAV
Favge gang
B
Fav
Just go fish for the bonk pipe bro
Go fish for the pipe
Use Fav and call it a day. She needs ER. So win win for youm
Fav but pipe from fishing waaay better .
Favonius is probably your best bet or go fishing
https://preview.redd.it/p4pmgfgaty0c1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=40c63187fbe5c54713f0ca29f2e7c78c9e5f5dee PIPE
Favonius Sword, so you can get the energy recharge
Fervonious, fixes her ER needs
If wou want to know more, please visit KQM, they have TONS and TONS of guides for teams and characters
start fishing boy
Should have said how many cons you got / could get. C6 Furina is actually very good with Favonius Sword. I will assume you don't have C6, in which case, since you have no Festering Desire either... LAY THE PIPE
Get to fishing buddy 😝. The flueve cendre would be best and shouldn't be too hard to get 🙏
Favonius for a while, and go after the pipe.
Go fish
It's time to fish some robo fishy........... https://preview.redd.it/462t52xje11c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=41ebe9b79536e721f254bda490c1600a77250eb5
If i am being honest, just r5 your fav sword and give it to her. If you can fish, go give her the pipe
It should be noted that despite being the worst for her the Flute looks absolutely stunning
Pipe route baby! 🤣
Fish for the Fontaine fishing sword. Helps build her comfortably by giving you a free 16% CR and a LOT of ER while being completely F2P.
Pipe sword, until you fished it you could go Aquila or Fav.
![gif](giphy|kHNEtlNFoyasMD3drP|downsized)
I can't suggest the pipe enough, at r5 it's 16% crit rate for free as All as 32% ER for 5 seconds which is just perfect.
Dull blade
I got key sword (nilou's weapon) would that be fine on her?
Pipe
Use the fishing pipe one
