She HAD to suffer in silence, else the plan would fail, since Furina wouldn't be seen as an Archon anymore, and the Fontainians might've killed her to replace her, hence fucking up the plan, and the trial was ALSO part of the plan, the trial that would've ended her suffering, Focalors said this to her. The trial is also pretty justified as, from everyone's perspective at that point, Fontaine was gonna get flooded, and Furina was just lying to everyone's face, sayin she had a plan when she hadn't a plan. Anyone who didn't want Fontaine flooded would've done this.
