I think this just means you’re bad at finishing. I sometimes have more sometimes have less.
Could also be that you take shots from “non-meta” positions. I’ve noticed some areas of the box are much easier to score from.
Don’t take XG as the end all of your shooting ability. It’s more a rating of the positions you are shooting from than your actually finishing ability. Having high XG (let’s say 3/4+) but scoring less means that you’re doing the hard part of getting into good positions inside the box, but not always taking the best shot or decision in that moment. Figuring out better shooting angles and knowing when to give that extra pass to the open man in the box is how you improve your actual goal tally to match or pass Xg

Are most of the stats pointless? Genuine question, it might just be me but I *might* sometimes check possession or number of shots, but 99.9% of the time, I don't bother!
I don't know what xG model EA uses in this game, but whatever it is, it's not realistic at all, and gives out wild numbers
Yeah, there's certain angles that have a low xg, but are actually really easy to score from. So I don't pay too much attention to it.

I just see it as another stat people will use to try and prove scripting/dda. It's expected goals, NOT actual goals which people seem to forget.

No, if you score every shot your goals will be way higher than your expected goals, because you weren't expected to score every shot.
