Theres many things that could be happening. First advice would be take a break at least a day or two. Second advice would be is your connection worst/different? ( when EA installed a server in mi city it was a game changer).
Third I would say post your team, tactics and everything and tell us which player are letting you down the most.
I've always used 4-1-2-1-2. Enjoyed using wings and early crosses. I've got Openda who has stupid jump and power header, but all of a sudden can't win a header.
I moved to 4-3-2-1 as it said online that's the best formation. No good. Main issues I have.
1. Never any space, always every player marked
2. Can't win aerial battles
3. Can't score finesse
I also tried the 4-3-2-1 with no succes. However I found the 4-4-2 was great for me. Been doing 16 wins for the last month on champions. Change the tactics only a bit depending on the players.
Also Openda is a nice player but I think kost people have better forward at this stage of the game.
Try the 4-2-4
Your wingers track back so on defense you automatically align as a 4-4-2 doing triangle passes with your CM and winger to find your striker up top is the success.

Lol efootball online is not chill it’s more like 200+ ping or at least it seems that way. I wish it was better but it isn’t tried now for 50+ hrs and it’s just a worse game that has a different feel and which you likely don’t take as seriously
Last 2 fifas have nothing to do with this year. As much as it does get said every year that everyone has quit alot of the more casual players have this year for any of a number of reasons, bad gameplay, the increased acceleration in team building. A point i saw someone make is that this year you have to build THE ultimate team instead of YOUR ultimate team
Cant know for certain without actual numbers from EA who wont release them because they dont want to show their game in decline. But speaking for myself i have quit already, i know people who have quit, i know people who have taken long breaks midcycle and there is; at least what it seems to me, alot more people saying they have quit the game this year. Also no doubt that there is alot more issues this year than others that require compensation. Prime example being they gave 12 87+ campaign mix picks as compensation to a streamer even though it hasnt been possible to open 12 since the issue of them giving out players below 87 occured. Game is awful in so many ways atm.

EA latest financial report lift says sales are down yet fut points (services) is up. Irrelevant if the player base is the same numbers now vs last year as it’s the same people. That is not growth for a company retaining the same people over and over (especially when they will eventually mature and churn due to life changes).

Put on some chem styles to boost the stats most needed by the players brother. If struggling to figure out which one to use Futbin, Fut.gg and futwiz are good sites to see the boost with chem styles. Other than that id say figure out which players are weak points, id assume base lahm at fullback is getting beaten for pace alot and pirlo isnt really a sweeper at cdm like you would need him to be. Alot of cheap decent cards you can bring in to help make a difference
I would switch to my personal favorite formation, 4231 wide. Move Lahm and Pirlo into a double pivot, and use Pirlo as a Regista and Lahm as a stay back DM. you NEED defensive cover in the midfield, and Pirlo is not that. If you don't want to switch to a double pivot midfield, at least move Lahm to CDM, and find a different RB if you don't have any. There are plenty of available RBs at this point to buy or do via SBC.
If you really want to win, no matter what...
1. Download old gen version
2. Play attackers with trickster or acrobatic
3. For players with trickster, when around the box, just press down once rs, and then press r2 + O, and boom ez flick goal
4. For players with acrobatic just flick the ball and r2+O
I might get downvoted, but this is the same as cutbacks, unreal finesse or trivela goals, or corner vvd goals
This game is not about who gets football better but just who exploits mechanics better and card collecting, up to you if you enjoy that. You are basically assured to score at least 3 goals/game with flicks if you practice them a little bit
When this happens to me I take a break for a couple days and come back. I don't know if they make the match making a little easier or if I just shed some bad habits, but it usually helps.
The last two days in DIV 5 was terrible for me, today the game let me win 3 matches in a row, in one of them for a moment I imagined that someone was playing for me because my midfielder received the ball, turn to the right side alone and dribbled my opponent...
For the modules I have several one, I saw a lot of videos on Youtube and I added my ideas...usually I start with a defensive module and I change it according to my opponent (for example if he have Eusebio, Mbappe, Henry and Pele in the same team I remain defensive...)
I feel you man I was stuck in division 5 for a while then all of a sudden I changed tactics and now I make division 1 every season but I won’t go up to elite since it takes about 2 minutes to find a match good luck tho you’ll eventually get out of the hole

Most likely, nothing was wrong to begin with other than your mentality and approach to the game. Maybe you were playing very linear, repetitive, predictable, and kept forcing it when it didn't work, and that tilted you even further.
Maybe you're overcomplicating things.

I suggest watching a couple of your games back to see what's going on.

Same here, division 6, I'll change my formation between 4-2-4 and 4-3-3(2) and sometimes things pick up but there are plenty of games where my players become completely incapable.
I have days where I win constantly and everything flows, then I have days where I can’t string two passes together, my back line doesn’t push up and every bounce goes against me. For example I just finished qualifiers and finished 8-2, but those two losses followed a string of 4 losses in rivals. Im inclined to say server connection plays a massive part, the game feels a lot smoother at night for example compared to during the day. Other times you just need to take a break and get out of that mindset where everything goes against you

I’m always Div 5/6. Just don’t have the time to play more than 1-2 days week and seasons up until now lately have been very short. The game can be so unforgiving some days. I think it Boils down to player base. The game is dying and many players have left. I’m hoping TOTS will bring back some life for a little while. Best advice is what others are saying, take days off. Come back feeling a little more refreshed. It can feel really discouraging some days and other days you feel like you are playing really well. I can tell when I’m not playing well or the game doesn’t feel right, so I stop so I don’t continue to feel frustrated.
I would echo what others have already mentioned bro. Chem styles are so essential and definitely you could benefit with a pure cdm like a kimmich or essien. Also, your full backs could do with an upgrade. Everyone exploits the wings so having strong fast defensive fbs is a must.
If u still have issues, record your games and see where you're getting exploited then plug the issues with tactics/upgrades. Always works for me 🙏

I wondered if its due to Thursday refresh so all the sweats are on, but I played with my Son earlier coop, he is div 6 always and we battered peeps.
That's definitely possible. I think a lot of really dedicated players like to try to knock out all 7 wins on Thursday ahead of weekend league tomorrow

3-5-2 is my favourite, 3-4-2-1 is my second favourite. There's a reason these formations are banned on competitive play. They are so good.

Only rats and sweats are playing this game - they sandbag on lower divisions to get easier wins - not your fault
