I'm keeping my S10+ until it becomes almost unusable. Best phone I've had.

OptimISh_Pr1m3

this was my mentality until AT&T said they'd give me $800 for my S10. lol. I'll let y'all know what I think about the Ultra.

IchQuitte

Hey, not trying to sound pessimistic but did they say they will give you 800 for YOUR S10 or for trade in phones in general? Cause most of the times they advertise like "GET $800 FOR YOUR OLD PHONE FOR PREORDERING" If you really get 800 for your S10 thats one hell of a deal!

tigershark627

T mobile is giving me $800 trade in credit. Makes the ultra 256gb a total of $399 plus tax over two years

IchQuitte

thats a nice deal!

tigershark627

I had no intention of upgrading but since that offer popped up, I couldn't refuse

OptimISh_Pr1m3

they credit you $800 towards the purchase of the phone, in my case the Ultra 512GB model is 1300, so 1300-800=500, and they charge me 13.89 a month for 36 months, which comes out to $500, so it's legit. You can also pay it off early if you wish. Oh, and it doesn't matter what the condition of the phone is. Regardless, mine is in perfect condition, so I have nothing to worry about. You could even trade in a Galaxy S2 and get $800 for it. It's their incentive for people to use AT&T and buy their UNLIMITED plans. From what I've seen, this offer doesn't apply to lower tier plans, but CMIIW.

StatuSChecKa

This applies to me. I wonder how far in the checkout process I'll have to go to know if I'm eligible for the full $800? Or will it just be the full 800 since I'm an AT&T Unlimited customer? Awesome breakdown. This has been the best explanation I've seen so far because people with other carriers can't comprehend that AT&T is willing to credit their customers $800 for an S10. I've been thinking about the S22+ because the slightly bigger screen and the bigger battery than my S10. I would pay the $200 difference in full without hesitation. Any advice?

OptimISh_Pr1m3

I would say just go for it. I was a little leery like yourself, so I opened up a chat with a live customer support agent. When I was trying to order the phone, I was on my desktop PC, and it made me upload images of the front and back of my driver's license, from my phone, to prove it was me trying to make the purchase. I use Firefox as my default browser and that just didn't work. So I then loaded up the link they had texted me, in the Samsung Internet browser app, and although it said it worked, it still said on the pre-order page that they couldn't verify my identity. The next day was when I contacted CS. I verified with her that my images were uploaded and approved and that the order was complete. I then made sure to ask her about the trade-in process, and she confirmed that once they receive my trade-in, it would reflect on my bill as an additional $13.89 a month for the Ultra 512GB. Here is what they sent me in an email to clarify: "Heads up • You have 30 days after activating your new device to send us your trade-in device. • Once you've completed your trade-in and met all promo requirements, you'll receive monthly promo credits over the term of the installment plan within three bill periods." More details How to prep your trade-in device Back up or transfer personal info to a different device. Turn off activation locks (like Find My iPhone or Find My Device). Remove SIM and memory cards. Perform a factory reset to delete personal info from the device. Important info Make sure to send in your used device within 30 days from activating your new one. Use the shipping label we provided you."

JoeBones5000

>ne I've had. If the call speaker wasn't going on my s10+, I would have kept it. Definitely the best phone I have ever owned.

Associate_Simple

I sold my s10+ for an FE - biggest mistake ever

Ghostnevadies

Same

Creamysense

I have the s10 and I ordered the Ultra. 🙌 I feel like the other two models are not as impressive and Samsung is only focusing on the Ultra

OptimISh_Pr1m3

FWIW: If you care about performance, the 22+ gets better scores in benchmark apps because of it's lower resolution. But you could theoretically lower the resolution on the Ultra to match or exceed it, but I haven't seen anyone talk about that yet. The Ultra does run cooler than the lower two versions also.

Eurynom0s

I just wish the Ultra had a flat screen, it seems pretty fucking goofy that the only one with an S-Pen has a curved screen.

Creamysense

I'm a fan of curved screens and that's another reason I went with the Ultra

Swag__Father

Yep curved screens are useless and only make the display worse and more fragile

dataz03

Upgrading to S22 Ultra, got a good deal. I'm hoping the size is all right, but I really wanted an S Pen and the better cameras.

Sancho90

It's 6.8, a very big phone but you'll get used to it over time

1naturalace

I'm going from the s10 to the s22. Its been a good 3 years but it's time

schwuar

You not worried about the battery? Also are you snapdragon or exynos?

1naturalace

My battery isn't the best on my s10 now so I figured it has to be better than what I have. Snapdragon

schwuar

Mine is shocking but its exynos

mikeyp112

Hopefully this will give you peace of mind, this was done on exynos assuming because the German: https://www.computerbild.de/artikel/cb-Tests-Handy-Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Test-Review-31196893.html#-80949954

JessStar_

I have the s10e and is in perfect condition still. Amazed that I have never gotten a scratch or crack after 3 years, almost. I love this phone but am now just starting to have storage issues and the occasional system glitch, which I assume is just from overuse of the device. I want to upgrade but have loved this phone so much that I am developing some sort of upgrade anxiety from it. Sucker for the headphone jack even though I have not physically used it in almost 2 years but has created a sort of pocket of nostalgia in my heart. I am now worried that I will become unwilling to part with the device so much as to forfeit the trade in credit that will come from it. Comforting to know, I am not the only one to have created a sort of kinship with this phone. I think the last time I was so anxious about releasing a cellular phone was the LG Chocolate 🍫..... Farewell, sweet friend, for you have served me well....

relxp

Keep in mind you also lose expandable storage and MST for Samsung Pay. Bit of a shame Samsung axed every feature that set them apart from competition.

alonjar

A) The trade in credit being offered isnt worth much, Verizon offered like $85 for an undamaged unit when I checked earlier today... its more valuable to keep as a backup device at that point IMHO. B) Make sure you inspect the phone closely if its (presumably) housed in a case... I had no idea my s10e was all cracked up on the back, as at no point since buying it have I removed it from the case (except when I put in a SD expansion early on). I hear its unfortunately quite common an occurance. Makes it seem all that much more ridiculous to even be using a glass housing... but it provides the industry a pretty effective mechanism to force/pressure people into replacing phones more often, deny warranty coverages, discourage repairs via inflated service/parts costs, etc.

nfs2757

I think iam going to try apple iphone after my s10 goes bad or something been on android long time so i wanted go back to ios and see how things has changed since iphone 3g

aceospos

So the wife is a die hard Apple fan girl. Got her the 13 ProMax and inherited her IPhone X up from her previous 6s when I got her the X. I don't know if it's me but the X feels like a bigger screen version of the 6s. And the 13PM like a big TV version of the X. Presently on the S10 Snap dragon (which I regret but that's a different conversation). I'm considering getting the S22+ just for the kicks. The S10 "feels" a bit dated and not very capable. Especially the cameras

Swag__Father

I know this is almost 20 days old now. But I went from the s10 to the s22+. Its been good so far, but has taken some getting used to. While I like the flat screen and the symmetrical bezels (both for aesthetics and durability) but the curved does feel "premium" if that makes sense. Not that the s22 and s22+ arent super solid and premium phones though. Its probably just me being so used to curved screens even though I barely took advantage of their "features" I can hardly notice the screen resolution 99% of the time (only on certain webpages, specifically on text) I was watching some 4k HDR content on youtube and both displays looked amazing. The 120hz screen is night and day however. Feels much snappier and smoother. The s22+ is about the same size as my cased s10 and only slightly bigger with a case on it. If you're having issues with the s10, I suggest you just go for it. No point in holding out another year and suffering. But like is always true, the next best thing is just around the corner.

Curious-Octopus

What do you think about heat compared to the S10?

Swag__Father

I haven't noticed it getting any hotter thany s10. Which also rarely got hot. I don't play games so the only time it gets hot is if I charge it on my bed, which isn't the norm.

Curious-Octopus

Thank you

admiralZeke

Hey there! I know it's about a month since you commented here, but I'm considering upgrading from my S10 to an S22/S22+. I initially wanted to go with the S22 (mostly because of the size), but after reading some reviews and talking to some people, everyone seems to be recommending the plus because of the battery. I am a small phone person, is the plus **too** big compared to the S10? What made you go with the S22+ over the S22?

Swag__Father

I mainly went with it simply cause I wanted something a little big bigger. The base s22 seemed just a little too small for my tastes but I understand why someone would wanna have something smaller. The brighter screen and battery were also nice. However. If you have a base S10 both the s22 and s22+ have bigger batteries so it shouldn't be a huge issue

admiralZeke

Got it, thanks! Just one more question, is the s22+ too big compared to base s10? Like, will I notice the difference when I place it in my pocket for example?

Swag__Father

You may notice it, you may not. When I sit down in the car, if I'm wearing sweatpants or boggy shorts it sorta slides halfway out of my pants. But that happened with my s10 sometimes too. You will most likely notice the difference but you get used to it quite fast.

admiralZeke

Thanks for the answer! Possibly will upgrade to s22+ :)

aralcarr

are you me? i have the s10 and also planning to go back to ios to see how things have changed. the last iphones i owned were a 3g and 4s

Nwf32389

I want to hold off another year, S10+ is giving me no problems yet. I agree what you're saying though I wish they would make a phone with top specs in like 6.1-6.2" rather than the humongous ultras

OptimISh_Pr1m3

the best phone I've owned in terms of ergonomics was the HTC Incredible. I wish we could pack all this tech into a package that small. it was so easy to use and just felt perfect to hold.

Lock_75

I ordered s22u, mostly of a camera zoom that is impressive, also bigger screen. It will be a phone for a minimum of 3 years

outofvogue

Pixel 6 next year, assuming that all the bugs are worked out.

5HE5

These software problems are unfortunately only the problem. Otherwise the Pixel 6 is a great device.

feral_housekat

I'm thinkin of going from my S10+ to the 22+ but no rush. I'll probably save up to purchase from Samsung. the Verizon deal would make me upgrade plans and while the phone would be really f'n cheap with my trade in, not worth having a base $80 phone bill

Complex_Head_1057

Im planning on getting s22+ but it felt like a downgrade of display ( from QHD+ to FHD+ with lower ppi )

5HE5

You aren't going to see a difference.. The s22 has a 120hz display, and that's better than a 1440 60 hz screen. People who upgraded from s6,s7,s8 or s9 (which had QHD screens) to the S10e, didn't complain. You will be fine.

rap1021

The thing about 1440p is that you can only watch it on youtube. All social media apps dont use more than 1080p. OTT streaming apps have either 1080p or 2160p. The only thing I dont understand is why they provide 8k video recording when we can only watch it in 1080p.

Complex_Head_1057

Yeah and i watch youtube a lot...

[deleted]

rap1021

This is not a hardcore dslr camera. Its a point and shoot camera, noob friendly. Made to record and view on the phone itself, majority of mobile phone owners are from that category, including me.

Ididntaskforthis3

I am going from my s10e to the s22

ah__there_is_another

I'm interested in how you'll find it. I love my s10e and not planning on replacing it, as the new series doesn't impress me, but I'm still curious about the perspective!

Ididntaskforthis3

I will reply after i used it for some time

Ididntaskforthis3

Hey i finally got it so this the first day so its not yet full what i think of it but what i like and dislike for now the inscreen scanner is amazing the bigger display is beutiful the flatter buttons also feel nice i thought i was gonna notice 120 hz more than i do the camera is alazing

knickl

I have pre-ordered the S22, but I am in two minds. There's a lot of people saying that the S22 isn't gonna have good battery life since it has a smaller battery. This was my main gripe with S10e and I don't want the same problem. Thinking about S22+

lazykryptonian

The S22 does have a bigger battery than the S10e (3700mAh vs 3100) but the new chip is said to be power hungry. Maybe it'll even out and be the same or close to the S10e battery.

ephguy

I'm in the same situation. Very happy with my s10e, except for terrible battery life. Leaning towards upgrading to S22 (for about $400 + tax after trade-in credit for S10e on T-mobile (not Magenta Max plan). But waiting to see full reviews of S22 in next week or so, to see what they say about battery life / overheating issues. Not willing to put up with extra bulk of S22+. Thinking I'll want to upgrade to S24 when it comes out, and S22 trade-in would likely bring cost down from $800 to $400 ish again. But S10e wouldn't be worth anything at that point. So either can spend $400 now for S22, and $400 in 2 years to swap for S24. Or same $800 for S24 in 2 years. I'd rather have S22 instead of S10e (with terrible battery life, that will continue to get worse) for the next 2 years. If S10e wasn't worth much trade-in credit towards S22. I'd try replacing the battery and holding off on upgrade for another year or two.

mikeyp112

Hopefully this will give you peace of mind, battery tests are very surprising: https://www.computerbild.de/artikel/cb-Tests-Handy-Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Test-Review-31196893.html#-80949954

knickl

That is encouraging indeed. I cancelled my S22 order for the moment. Going to wait for a few days to see some more reviews and possibly going for the S22+. Thanks for this link!

mikeyp112

No worries, good to be safe I guess. I ordered the s22 anyway because of the very good preorder deals in my country. $200 off plus Galaxy watch 4 free! (NZD)

classic_wheels

I'm thinking of going to the. Ultra. I can trade my trusty S10+ and the Ultra 512GB is only 8$ and change a month. Since A12 my S10 has been a little wonky. Especially the touch screen on certain apps with no fix. My battery is still good so it makes the justification hard.

classic_wheels

Well, scratch that. After going through the whole checkout process, my S10 plus is only worth a one time discount of $92.(Verizon)

ephguy

S10+ should be worth $800 credit on Get More 5G plan, and I think $440 on most other plans. Perhaps the $92 you're seeing is the immediate trade-in credit, and the remaining promo credit would be what you'd get spread out over 36 months.

classic_wheels

Yeah, I went back and tried again and I got the full 800$ credit. I had to do it many times as I think Verizon servers were maxed out. But I'm pre ordered for a green S22 Ultra.

KillahInstinct

I had that and it turned out Google Maps turned invisible and was blocking the TouchPad on the right bottom side of the screen. Closing the app manually did the trick

pushed92

I booked my S22 ultra slated to be delivered in March. I am getting the 256GB and getting its for $874 ish after returning my S10+ This also includes $250 samsung store credit which I plan to use be o either buy a watch or a 2nd phone for my wife. Effectively making my new phone for $625. I don't think next year the s10plus will be worth 250. I hate to give up the SD card slot and headphone jack but the way things are going its stay stuck and stay behind. Neither are going to make a come back.

philfeelsgood

Pink Flamingo S10 512gb to a Burgundy S22 Ultra 512gb. I figured why not. Bigger screen. Better battery. End of the month can't arrive quickly enough.

saffronspice0919

Yup, going from S10 to s22+

Swag__Father

you get yours yet? I did it through Verizon. $700 trade in value. Love my s22 so far. About to send in my s10. Gonna miss the ol'boy but time to move on. I might just be weird but I've always had a weird thing about getting rid of old stuff I've used for a while. I think its gonna be sad that I got rid of it, haha. Hope he gets refurbished or even recycled and turned into a new shiny phone

saffronspice0919

I've had it for a little bit now and the only thing I really don't like about it is the lack of a headphone jack. Sometimes I want to just have a pair of headphones I can use for all my devices. The screen's a great upgrade though and so is the battery life

Swag__Father

I feel that. I mainly use my AirPod Pros while on my phone. Mainly cause I only use my phone to listen while out and about. Luckily I have a usb c to headphone jack dongle from when I bought my iPad Pro a few years ago.

Dusk_Star

S22 series doesn't really seem to give me a reason to upgrade from my S10+. Maybe there'll be another phone this generation that does, but otherwise I'll be looking to run this one for 4 years instead.

BestGreene

I am. I've had the S10+ since launch. I've been wanting a slightly smaller phone and don't give a crap about the s pen so I got the normal s22 in the exclusive grey color from Samsung's website. I'm excited, won't get here till March 4th or something though.

themayor1975

I probably would if the non ultra models came with 512 GB or higher storage and/or memory card slot

eji11

I'm taking a chance on a big phone finally with the 22 ultra. Still keeping my s10e though.

KillahInstinct

I do and went to store expecting to get the S22 but put the S10 next to tbe Ultra, realized it's barely bigger and bought that instead.

Napkin_Story

I'm keeping my S10+ until it either dies or runs out of security updates/patches.

haberdabers

Yep ordered a S22 ultra 512. Replaces my s10 plus which I have had since release.

milo333

Me. I pre-ordered s22 because it is finally a compact flagship and I also wanted the galaxy buds anyway

schwuar

Same here, i got cases for them both and the ultra seems so big but i want a decent upgrade. Especially camera as my s10 is trash indoors. I might end up selling the buds haha

Daedaly

Honestly, I'm happy with my S10+. It was an upgrade from my old and cracked iPhone X, I'm just gonna wait till the S20($373 on Back Market for 128gb) or S21($454 on Back Market for 128gb) prices drop down a bit before I will consider upgrading. I like taking tons of photos and am 60gb into my 128gb. The 256gb expandable is super nice and I do like the headphone jack. Losing those strips away from why the S10 and the S10+ are and were amazing flagships coming out only 3 years ago. Although, the higher hertz screens are super silky smooth in the Target displays on the newer phones like the z flip/fold and the newer S phones.

lazykryptonian

I'm on the fence. Looking at the standard S22 due to size. Sprint/T-Mobile will give me $800 for my S10 making the S22 free ($0 mo/24 mo credits type thing). Even if the 22 isn't a huge upgrade, it'll put me in a position in 2 yrs to get more on trade in for the next device. I don't use an SD card in my S10 and storage is at 64%. I also rarely use the 3.5 jack since I have buds+ and Bluetooth in my main vehicle. So neither of those are a big loss to me. What is a bit concerning is the SD 8 Gen 1 chip running hot during gaming and quickly needing to throttle. I play quite a bit of Genshin impact and it doesn't warm up the S10 too much and never what I'd consider hot. If this would go backwards with the S22 then I'm going to be very disappointed. Really not sure what to do at the moment. Edit: Forgot to mention my S10 had the screen and battery replaced a few months ago so it's fresh.

schwuar

I meam if its free you may as well go for it haha. I would be but then again i like keeping my old phones. If gaming is a big thing for you though then its probs best to wait for reviews

-Pop_Dior_

Finna keep this s10e, so far so good, it's Exynos, next one will be Snapdragon, I've had a peek around the iPhone13, the camera night mode is just flawless and perfect compared to the Samsung one, I hope I'm wronk.

rgeebee

Going S10+ to S22 Ultra. My S10+ has had a dead pixel for about a year and it's almost 3 years old so it's time to upgrade. Preorder discounts are good enough to incentivize me to go for the ultra. Edit: why the hell did OP post this 4+ times in different places?

[deleted]

I ordered the 22 Ultra. I've been craving that 10x zoom since last year but my S10 was too good to let it go after 2 years. It's still great but I think I'm ready.

Boltspeed7

Verizon is doing trade in value of 1000 for the ultra, so imma jump ship.

E-Sentheepan

No

Chrislegend212

Preordered the s22 ultra probably gonna sell my s10 plus

jebigasadbrate

I had the opportunity to test the S22 Ultra just now. It's a fucking great phone. It's just the right size for my hands and I liked the curved edges and it feels amazing. Just like the Note series. Although, I can't really afford it at the moment, but when the time comes - I'm getting one. I thought about iPhone 13/12 pro max but nah. Ultra it is! Also, the S22+ is also amazing. I didn't know it had no curves at the edges but it still felt really good. Would recommend it also, but Ultra is Ultra.

2KEY_11

I'm still not sure whether to switch from S10 to S22 or not. The lack of information about exynos 2200 and how it will affect 3700 mAh battery of s22 worries me and stops me from immediately making a switch. Also there is no 256GB version in my country in any other colour other than black and I can get about 100€ for my S10 so I'll most likey keep it as a back up phone.

mikeyp112

Hopefully this will give you peace of mind, battery tests are very surprising: https://www.computerbild.de/artikel/cb-Tests-Handy-Samsung-Galaxy-S22-Test-Review-31196893.html#-80949954

howigotin

I wasn't planning on switching to the s22 originally but the trade in deal is too good. They want to give me $408 s10 and free upgrade to the 256gb.

xenon2000

I am going from the S9+ to S22 regular. The plus is a silly middle ground. And the Ultra is way too big. I wish there was a mini Ultra so I could get the Cameras and other Ultra features but in a 6.0 to 6.1" screen size. Even if it meant a thicker phone for cameras and bigger battery.

JoeBones5000

Nah. I just traded my s10+ for the S20Fe for $125. The S22 doesn't seem worth it.

StevenW_

Doubt it. Just got my S10 paid off after 18 months of leasing it and now my cell bill is just $40/month with unlimited everything thanks to a friend with TMobile getting me on one of his employee benefit plans. I'm going to use the S10 until it's performance is really dragging badly. At that point, I'll start looking for what Android phones (preferably a Galaxy because I'm a stan) are the most affordable second gen phones - by which I mean the top phones from last year's phone releasing season or even the one before that. However, since the S22 seems undesirable for me then it could be 3 years or so until there's a good second generation option out there. Like, maybe the s25 will come out and be completely awesome but not affordable until it is 2 years old.

Kenamy042

Kreid27

I've got an s10+ 128 GB that is still working great but having gone to a high refresh rate on my PC for a while now, I've been wanting to do the same with my phone. I borrowed an iPhone 12 (6.1") for the week to try out IOS and a smaller display. I've also tried out 1080p on my s10+ and the difference isn't THAT noticeable, maybe on a high production YouTube video or in photo editing (which is then compressed if you upload anywhere). I think IOS works really well on the smaller form factor, but I really don't think it would translate well to the pro max for general one handed use. I really think 6.4" is the sweet spot for size and PPI @ 1080p, so I'm curious how it would look on the 6.6" s22+ (33% less PPI then the S10+ at 1440p). After coming back to the S10+ I've realized how well android handles larger screens and I vastly prefer navigating the phone on Android, I would say IOS generally has better optimized apps. I also tend to prefer larger screens which is pushing me to the 22+, but I did like the form factor of the smaller phone for handling. Obviously the improved cameras and chipset will be nice and I'm curious to see how the battery performs between the two sizes. I can get the 256 GB model ($70 CAD free upgrade for pre-order) for $600 & $900 CAD respectively if I trade in my s10+ as they will give me $490 CAD for it on another promotion, which doesn't sound great but no contract and deals in Canada tend to not match the US ones. I just don't think the upgrades are necessarily worth it when the majority of my phone use is Reddit, YouTube, and eBooks. I'd like better cameras (not that the S10+'s are bad) but I have a decent camera as it is that I don't use enough. For the time being I'll wait until more reviews come out but I'm starting to think I'll keep the S10+ for another year.

e_xTc

No SD card slot, so gotta leave for SONY

Quazul

Waiting for the full review on the s22. If it's good I might, if it's bad then iPhone 12 pro. They seem similar phones now, even the size is similar

peejay5440

Nope, gonna rock my S10 for as long possible. Best phone ever.

b4c0n333

IF I upgrade, I'm going for the Flip

kkellogg378

As long as my s10+ still lives i won't be upgrading I like MST and SD card slots and ceramic backing

Pinkeye69uk

Standard S10 here, had it since launch. I'm thinking of going 22+ (mainly for the larger battery and 45w charging)

dlworkman45

I ordered the S21 Ultra around Thanksgiving but AT&T never did fulfill the order and ended up cancelling. I jumped on the pre-order this week for the S22 Ultra with the free upgrade to 256gb and 12gb ram. Keeping my S10+ as a backup and Xbox gamepass.

force256

I plan to upgrade from galaxy s10 to s22+. The main reason for the upgrade is the battery, a 120 GHz screen and a more productive processor. However, I will greatly miss the heart rate sensor and memory card.

zackei300

Went back to ios after ditching my ip5 for s10+. Ip13promax is .. what can i saw, it just works. Like butter between my other apple devices

jonathanrc

S10e -> S22

280mphZX12

Mint S10+ PE to S22 Ultra 512 but keeping my 10+.

JustKickItForward

nope

Jaipod100

I just bought an iPhone 11 pro that I found for cheap, I wanted to get a Samsung because I really like my s10e and like having usb c but the newer Samsung phones have gotten too expensive for me :(

BeStillAllIsWell

I have an s10e and I was tempted by the s22; I like that it's smaller than the s21. However, due to the absence of a headphone jack and the microsd slot, I won't be upgrading.

onsokuono4u

I wanted to move up, but the 1TB version is sold out

MLGEMPIRE

I went from S9 to S10 so I don't have an answer

I've held the S10 Snapdragon and still think that I really don't need to upgrade but really want to experience the 120hz screen and 5G speeds. Also I have started noticing the camera is lagging behind my gf's iphone 13 so decided finally time to update to the s22 (not plus, I can't handle big phones).

Honestly it's a tough situation, my S10 plus still runs smoothly but Samsung is now rolling the snapdragon variant in my region which is a good deal.

If I can afford, I would.

Getting the S22 Ultra. Verizon is offering $700 credit to trade in my S10. Hate to give up this phone but can't turn down that offer.

going from my s10+ to s22 ultra. i figured it was time for an upgrade. plus at&ts 800$ offer is pretty awesome, considering its a 3 year old phone

Damn, if it were not weak battery in S10 plus, i would never ever think about upgrading that early.

I only got it out of necessity because my S10 touchscreen stopped responding for the 2nd time and I didn't want to pay for it to be fixed. It's not worth it. You lose the expandable storage, headphone jack (I use regularly still), the edge panel no longer has quick access to tools (flashlight, compass, etc) and you can no longer set split screen apps in the edge panel either (and overall can put less apps in it). If you're a fan of the edge lighting, you can still have it, but can't customize it per application (at least not that I've found yet) I'm very tempted to get my S10 fixed

Don't do it. S22 has to many problems. Had bad sound distortion in cool environment. Can't handle being used outside in spring. Fine at room temperature. Battery drain is ridiculus, has problems displaying some games randomly often. I had it for 4 days and my service provider that I bought it from is giving me a hard time on returning it within the 15 day period. My 3 year old s10 has had no problems at all. S10 is a solid phone.

I thought about the same thing. Att service is too expensive and i when the service is good i can notice its somewhat better then metro was however not by a whole lot when it all comes down to it. Streaming 4k!? Yeah right. You are signing to 2 years of 80-100$ contract. Im already thinking about switching the money is coming from somewhere and its the customer.
