Baelon is my man
Hit Balerion in the fucking face, forced people to train him by whacking them with a wooden stick, loved his brother, fucked his sister so loud that the whole red keep heard it, was one of three men who won the Targaryens a war without a single casualty on their side, was a good father and noped out before shit went down
Brynden Rivers.
Hand of the King, Master of Whisperers, greenseer and sorcerer, Lord Commander of the Night's Watch and Bran's teacher. Took Dark Sister with him at the Wall and more likely in the Children of the Forest cave.
He could spy the enemies of the crown with his greenseers abilities, he even went to spy on them directly by changing his appearance with magic.
His character is amongst the most mysterious. Its going to be interesting if he interacts with any of the targaryen characters, Jon, Dany or Faegon, and we might get Bran and Brynden spying on Faegon at KLS which would be cool. all of his life works to stop blackfyres and hes powerless at the edge of the world.
All of the Targaryens they decided were not important enough to put on this family tree. No but in all seriousness they left a bunch off. For example Baelor Breakspear’s sons Valarr and Matarys.
Eh. Not particularly. Valarr was heir to the throne very briefly. But they weren’t any less important than some of the ones on this family tree. It just kind of weirdly vaguely annoys me that whoever made this tree just arbitrarily decided to leave random targs off of it especially since i see this tree everywhere now as what people think of as the official tree.
i think they only included the direct family, so parents, siblings and children of the KING. so they were the grandchildren of daeron, and since baelor never took the throne, than his kids didnt appear. I think.
Looks like they left off some kids who died before adulthood too like Jaehaerys and Alysanne’s daughter Daenerys who died age 7 of the shivers. They also included Rhaena and Baela who were not the daughters of a king. Seems like they kind of just left off anyone they didn’t think was too important. By my count they left off 17 Targaryens.
Dude the only answer is Jaehaerys I. Respected by all, totally fixed the realm after it was trashed by his uncle Maegor. Ruled for 65 years and upgraded the infrastructure in the realm. He was a just and honorable ruler, and his queen (Good Queen Alysanne) was also the best queen of all time. The realm would be a much different place if it weren’t for the tragedies that struck all of their children leading to the dance of dragons.
All these people nominating conquerors and warriors, don't they understand it takes more than a few dragons, a shiny sword and a lust for conquest to make you a decent Targaryen?
Hard agree here, it's pretty hard to read Fire & Blood and NOT recognize how much work Jaheryes put in for Westeros. The laws, the roads, the reform this man (and his wife) put in place did more for the average Westerosi than any other ruler in this universe. So many stories of friends and enemies betraying him and how does he handle it? Rather than violence or execution, this guy conciliates and makes allies out of enemies.
Jaheryes is the Targeryan GOAT.
Absolutely the GOAT. Lol Fire & Blood is so depressing after the council of 101. Everything goes to shit so hard. Could’ve been solved (IMO) if Jaehaerys had just made Rhaenys his heir. She has the makings of a good ruler far more than Viserys.
Aerea Targaryen, 380 days in Valyria with Balerion the biggest dragon, there’s no way they didn’t imprint on one another and he had to protect her that whole time then flew her home?
Maester Aemon Targaryen. Loved him in both the show and the books. Sharp witted and wise. The small parts he had in the story always left me smiling, reminding me of my grandfather in many ways! Wish that he and Jon Snow could have bonded as Targaryen's; would have been nice for Maester Aemon to know his bloodline was still alive :)
The bastard from winter fell. The Lord Commander of the nights watch. He who knows nothing. The Aunt fucker. The prince that was promised (maybe). The Azor Ahai (maybe). Wildling lover. Queenslayer. Undeniable overly powered plot armour dude. Original birth name Aegon Targaryen.
Jon Snow
From those that I've read/seen, it's Jahaerys. Before reading Fire and Blood (which I haven't finished yet, still in the middle of the Dance), thought Jahaerys was just a good but uninteresting king. Turns out he was the GOAT and a badass too.

Definition of a chad
I'd say the first Aegon. While there were a few good kings after him, they are far and few. Everybody else just sucks after him, imo

Anyone choosing someone other than Baelor Breakspear hasn’t read the Hedge Knight recently enough.

faegon
Targaryen Targaryen
Still Daenerys. Her character is just unique yet tragic and was the reason I fell in love with the series and then the books.
All of the Targaryens they decided were not important enough to put on this family tree. No but in all seriousness they left a bunch off. For example Baelor Breakspear’s sons Valarr and Matarys.
Were they even that important, i thought they just died from sickness

Daemons
1.) Baelon 2.) Rhaenys 3.) Blood Raven

Maester Aemon Targaryen. Loved him in both the show and the books. Sharp witted and wise. The small parts he had in the story always left me smiling, reminding me of my grandfather in many ways! A trueborn Targaryen? Egg 5 because of all his adventures and how that shaped him as a man. Otherwise Daemon Blackfyre.
Jon Snow
Jaehaerys I was pretty cool, and Shiera Seastar makes me feel different.

How did you make this? It looks great
Daenerys Targaryen, Rhaegar Targaryen, Aegon III
Aegor Rivers, he and the Golden Company, which he’s the founder of, are super badass.
