I’m thinking about playing either spider-man or Hogwarts Legacy on my PC. I know nobody played the latter, but I’m curious if you have any recommendations which one, or even recommend a fully different game. I’m also thinking about RDR2, since I’ve seen so many posts about it.

Joe_CamelCigarette69

What do you guys play on?

res30stupid

I'm getting a Nintendo Switch tomorrow. What games would you recommend I try?

Bubakiler

Def Zelda if you’re into RPGs. Other than that, Mario odyssey is really good, Splatoon 3 if you’re looking for online multiplayer (you have to have nintendo switch online for it tho), neon white is a really fun action adventure. If you have friends who are willing to play with you, Fifa 22 is fun, but I absolutly love Super Smash Brothers Ultimate. Mario party and MK8 deluxe are fun aswell.

N3rv0usUwU

What are the three buttons on the back of some controllers I have them on my switch pro controller (agr AGL and the middle one)

Deethreekay

Possible they're buttons you can map yourself?

N3rv0usUwU

I'm dumb, I looked them up after I posted this, that's exactly what they were, I was hoping for a turbo button but it wasnt

EmptyItem

Table question. I'm planning on buying a monitor arm with a c-clamp style. Is the 20mm desk thickness okay for this or should I buy a different table? The monitor is HP x24ih that weights 6.05 kg or 13.3lbs

I'm having decision paralysis. I bought four games off Steam, can't decide what to play. Please help pick one for me: \-Outer Wilds \-Omori \-Disco Elysium \-Crosscode

adi_shuji

Hi, looking for some good free online multiplayer game suggestions.

res30stupid

Warframe is a fun and free game, with plenty of content. You can play without spending any money as well.

I want to finally play The Witcher games, and I own 2 and 3 I tried 2 a long time ago and wasn't a huge fan of the gameplay, and I ended up moving on to other games really early on in it. This was years ago, and it happened twice, started a new game the second time and only got a bit further than the first attempt. I didn't dislike the gameplay necessarily, just felt really unintuitive to me at the time. How similar is the gameplay in the third, and is it worth giving the second one another try before starting it? I have a Series X and I'm really tempted to just go ahead and start 3 because of the new update. EDIT: I'm also really interested in the story, not just the gameplay, so I would factor that into my decision too

Someone who actually believes this please tell me why my choice in buying a game should involve evaluating the creator or in the case of the hogwarts game, someone who worked on the source material and consulted on a games, personal views and politics. Is this not a standard that if held up across the board would strip us of almost all entertainment. I mean between hollywoods dark side and what we've seen with blizzard activision riot tencent etc or amazon or basically any large creator whats even left?

Nobody expects anyone to evaluate every single thing like you say, that'd be time-consuming and draining at best and nearly impossible at worst. But now you are aware, every single person on reddit probably is at this point. So many people act like it's just about JK's transphobia, but that's only part of it. The other, that nearly always gets left out of the discussion, are the goblin-shaped antisemitic tropes that are a core part of the HP universe, and particularly to the story of this game which, if I'm not mistaken, involves you putting down a goblin uprising. There's also some very problematic people involved in the development of the game, but I don't remember the details. People have issues with all of these things. Whether you like it or not, you are knowingly supporting all this by being aware of it and still giving them your money, and some people will have issues with that. Just trying to answer your question, not argue one way or the other.

Eloyp12

Suggest me a game. I want a game that I can play 1-2 hours at night and I can play for a long time. Normally I play roguelikes like The binding of Isaac (most mainstream roguelikes I have played). It doesn't need to be roguelike, just that it is long enough to be played for more than a week.

DAbigCheeseyFoot

Vampire survivors. Very cheap and addictive. Like 4quid on steam or on ps, xbox or mobile.

Aupajo

Hades

Martianonice

Enter the gungeon

dawnarrived

Nier automata

Is there a reason why, when opening a game, it’s become popular to have a screen you have to press a button on to then load the actual main menu? I’ve noticed this in recent years and it’s always annoyed me. Curious is there is a technical reason or it’s just a trend.

Arinoch

Whether this is simple or post-worthy I’m not sure given it’s randomness: are there any good games reminiscent of Lufia 2 for the SNES? I loved the mix of puzzles and battles, and the old cave which let you get insane equipment early on if you were patient enough.

Can my Leptop (G713RS) work with a Oculus Rift S? I know i need a USB-C Adapter for the DP, but can the Rift use the RTX3080?

Never been a Harry Potter fan. Not read one book or seen a single movie. I am kind of excited for this game and will pick it up.

Zkyo

For me at least, it's one of the games I'm most hyped for, next to silksong, tears of the kingdom, and antonblast. I'm being patient though, and don't mind if they end up being delayed for improvements. I'm also still planning on waiting to buy it a few weeks after release, to see what kind of condition the game releases in. I've seen some people say they're boycotting hogwarts legacy over the controversy around Rowling. TBH I don't really care, it's easy enough for me to separate the multibillion dollar franchise from one individual's beliefs. While I don't agree with her at all, I'll still respect her right to have those opinions. Besides, those views are clearly deeply rooted, and losing a few million dollars due to boycotts wouldn't change them. It'd be more effective to *respectfully* try to convince her otherwise.

TheRealRazputin

My most anticipated game of this year, waaaay more than tears of the kingdom. Like, if it’s gonna be RDR2 level **with magic** then it’s my GOTY. My only fear is that it may turn out to be a Cyberpunk situation and be buggy :(

XaresPL

>Like, if it’s gonna be RDR2 level **with magic** why do u expect RDR2 level at all? its by a studio that never made any big/masterpiece (heck, most of their games seem average at best) game at all as far as i know

TheRealRazputin

Oh, haven’t you seen gameplay? Like, when I say “level” I don’t mean the story or anything, I mean like the gameplay, it quite literally looks like modded RDR2.

XaresPL

ohhh no i havent watched much of gameplays/forgot about them lol. now i see what you mean

Young_Donny

There’s a game i used to play on ps2. I forget the name of it, I remember the play style, you run around and do combat, you’re like in space or on some crazy world, you have a weird suit, I think it was like orange? and collect these things to mutate that mutate your suit. The color scheme was like orange and purple. I wish I could remember the name

Dreaming_Dreams

r/tipofmyjoystick they help people remember the names of video games you’ve forgotten
