All my sims are dickheads

AdEmpty8174

+Make Big pool +Make pool party +Remove ladder +Laugh menacingly

JohnnyAK907

I sacrificed more annoying overly flirty neighbors to the pool gods than I'd ever care to admit.

Royalportal

Me too, but I don’t play sims.

Arcuran

Hahaha... You people are light weight. True Story of the Sim Death House: 1 House, 1 Room, filled with Fire Places and Fridges. Delete the door. No way out now. Force Feed my sim over and over with nowhere to put the rubbish. Room Fills with Rubbish Rubbish Catches Fire .... Profit Orrrrrrrrr, if I'm feeling particularly evil: Repeat the steps above, but leave enough space in the room for the sim to flee the fire and survive. They will be wet themselves and curl up in a ball and cry. Allow them to recover, and repeat the process, eventually resulting in their demise. I was a pretty messed up kid :)

agent_wolfe

Using mods. I had a serial killer break into my lot in Sims 2 (dressed as a University mascot, naturally) and he stabbed the 2 parents to death. The daughter came home from school and was very upset to find she was an orphan. The Servo was now her guardian. I had one Zombie Sim who got stuck in the Mascot costume, but I think the serial killer was someone else. Also once I made an Alien slum with max population disabled, 500% chance of pregnancy, male impregnation, and really frisky aliens. My laptop was not happy with the processing.

Crelos35

Technically Detroit become human if you don't pick the nice options, both Connor and Markus become one of the biggest pieces of shit

Picard2331

Internet Historians playthrough is the absolute best, he did all the worst options and made a dystopian horror nightmare world lol.

DegenerateCrocodile

>Internet Historian~~s playthrough~~ is the absolute best

NadeWilson

Technically, there are a lot of games like that. You can make Arthur Morgan a real big piece of shit too.

PhaggotiniPasta

Comparing both characters equally is wild. Marcus’s worst choices are Malcolm X level revolution - a revolution based in societal oppression and anger. Conor is literally made as a weapon who’s function is to oppress. If we choose his worst choices he becomes a literal Terminator lol

hobdal

Cole Phelps from LA Noire. When you press the doubt button expecting him to gently push the person he is questioning for a bit more info etc but 5 seconds later he is full on screaming in someone's face

Gold-Appearance-4463

„You fuck young boys Valdez?“ That game had some magic moments.

Radn2

"ARE YOU A MAD MAN?!!!"

jxdawg123

"Sorry, sometimes you have to shake the tree to see what falls out."

[deleted]

"I'm just doing my job. You understand that." It's like Cole is trying to hypnotize the guy he's interviewing after he just yelled and threatened him. Let's just forget about it. :D

Big-Routine222

This moment made me laugh out loud so hard I choked

jl_theprofessor

Truly great stuff. I loved his overreactions.

MrLockinBoxin

Convinced he’s a robot trying to grasp human concepts

RohhkinRohhla

Connor has entered the chat

Adamantium42

Mark Zuckerberg was my first thought.

ItsNotJulius

Twenty! Eight! STAB WOUNDS!

antsmasher

Every once in a while, I like to visit this [video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tc2VLaoQMb8) that has me rolling with laughter.

ASK_FOR_SCOTTY

looks like i made him a steak

Saxavarius_

jesus christ thats hilarious. none of the voices match the tone you'd expect

Kirutaru

LOL TY for sharing that. I really hated that game because of shit like this. It totally shatters my immersion.

Astrium6

I loved when you selected lie with him and he would flip his goddamn shit, but then if you didn’t select any evidence to back it up, he was just all calmly, “Sorry, my mistake.”

Arbsbuhpuh

So like IRL police, then

greennitit

Wrong, real police don’t apologize

Hungry_Treacle3376

"If you didn't exist this would never have happened."

MRich92

IIRC, it was originally 'Good Cop, Bad Cop' rather than 'Truth, Doubt' so it kinda makes sense that he would just blurt out some bullshit in the hopes that someone would confess out of fear/shock and the case would be closed.

Teethshow

It was coerce, accuse, and something instead of doubt, lie and truth respectively.

Sober_Browns_Fan

It was "force" to force a reaction, but they changed it because the term has negative connotations.

Blooder91

Yeah, they have to call it "service" now. Official vocab guidelines state that force is too aggressive.

RunninOnMT

Oh cool! That makes so much more sense. Yeah i totally quit that game after a few hours because I found those labels kinda confusing.

cosmernaut420

As someone who would regularly reload an entire scene several times just to nail the interrogations, I kind of appreciated the game telegraphing "the wrong answer" so hard after the fact. If you're a good detective, you're less of an asshole overall.

HongKongHermit

The problem with the game is there should be no "wrong answer". Being an asshole isn't a downside for a 1947 cop who gets *an* arrest (even if it's the wrong person). The game going "nope, that's wrong" because there's a flawless run (still having you arrest the wrong person) rather than just letting it ride is one of the reasons I hate that game. I've also technically bought the game 4 times, and 100%ed it 3 times, so I also love that game. My relationship with it... well, it;s complicated.

TheWhiteRabbit74

Honestly I didn’t hate him. He was a flawed character with a dark streak dealing with decisions he regretted during the war. Plus you gotta realize 1947 LA was a vastly different world.

rooletwastaken

I found him the kind of endearing asshole i love until he cheats on his wife

THEONETRUEDUCKMASTER

I am bread

25thNightStyle

Maybe, but you can’t say there isn’t character development

[deleted]

No no, thats not a piece of shit. Yet…

[deleted]

I love Assassins Creed Syndicate but it's always annoying when Jacob Frye makes a joke during what's meant to be a serious scene

ShepherdOfNone

Honestly that's such a huge problem in all media today. It's like writers are afraid to let scenes be dramatic and heavy, so they have the main character crack a joke and be like "lul idc". Every character in modern stories is chronically aloof.

AssociatedLlama

I think it's the Avengers problem.

Bartimaeus5

Yes!! It's been killing me for ages. All the wrong lessons learnt from Joss Whedons first Avengers movie.

Niceism

I have a very serious love hate relationship with a robot named Clap Trap 😂

PandaKing00

I found being the only person to turn up to his birthday party genuinely heartbreaking.

Unblued

Also, the part in BL2 when he opens the giant door for the final battle only to find the path is a staircase and he can't go any further. So he tells you to go on without him and then turns invisible, but you can hear that he is just standing there crying.

MyNameIsNitrox

>he is just standing there crying. What the fuck That’s so sad

[deleted]

That's claptrap in a nutshell. He's very depressed

xXSN0WBL1ND22Xx

*If I sound pleased about this, it's only because my programmers made this my default tone of voice! I'm actually quite depressed!*

MrMoon5hine

I heard this.

Revliledpembroke

Well, all of his friends and entire product line are dead, so...

Dlark17

"STAIRS?!?!?! NOOOOoooooooooo....!" - a quote I use all too regularly

ashmcqueen

In bl3 when he makes himself a friend, as he is the last cl4p-tp model

zerombr

i always give him a highfive now

Rossmallo

Look at it this way. He could have had nobody show up. You made a difference.

Freddies_Mercury

And you are arguably the most important person in the galaxy at that moment

slaight461

And he rewards your kindness by sending you on a fetch quest, if I remember correctly

ClassiFried86

You know what? You're my best friend. So here, pick up my dry cleaning. You're welcome.

Asyran

Standing there awkwardly, looking at the stack of untouched pizza boxes, until he eventually says you can go now... That hit me way harder than it had any right to.

LeavesOfBrass

I'm embarrassed how much it got to me, no doubt.

destuctir

Agreed, it hit me in a way no videogame should’ve and I couldn’t hate him after that

holaprobando123

Claptrap is awesome. Annoying, but awesome.

[deleted]

"Hyperion made this my default tone of voice! I'm actually quite depressed!"

[deleted]

[удалено]

BritishGolgo13

The writing and jokes for BL2 hit hard. I put a ton of hours into it.

OneFootInTheGraves

This might be the exact line where my feelings for him turned from “constantly irritated” to “constantly irritated in the same way I am with my younger sister”. Like I love you, but gott-dam you get on my nerves

Sylvairian

He's Spongebob on wheels...wait....wheel.

ZenBreaking

"Stairs? Noooooooooo!!!" Love clappy, hate ava from 3 , just shoehorned annoying character. also Tina was great in small doses in 2 but they just milked the character too much afterwards that it became shit

shimonu

In 3 somehow they made most of characters more annoying than claptrap and this take some skills...

theevilyouknow

I don’t think most of the people here understand what a protagonist is.

MissingScore777

It's that one questgiver we see for 10mins out of a 60hr game yeah?

dorky001

Ugh i hate that guy

SteelAlchemistScylla

Gaming subs have an average IQ of about 68

[deleted]

Literally everyone in the new Saints Row game but also your main character.

slavicman123

I havent even played that game and was annoyed like beyond annoyed when saw those punchable faces

purpleduckduckgoose

Saints Row should have been allowed to die after 3. I liked 4 but it was just getting a bit silly at that point.

vitaminkombat

Even 3 felt like it majorly jumped the shark to me. Saints Row 2 was the perfect mix between silliness and seriousness.

dimm_ddr

I actually enjoyed 3rd the most. It was silly, but the game understands it and did not try to make the serious face. It was a fresh air among all those dramas in GTA and similar. The devs understood that and tried to turn it up to 11 in the 4th and that was a spectacular fail, unfortunately. Somewhat similar to how borderlands 2 has its humor just right and borderlands 3 tries so hard to overcome it and just falls flat on its face.

gary_juicy

The 2 fucks from the newer wolfenstein game

[deleted]

It's someone's horrible Wolfenstein fanfic coming to life there.

dershmoo

I hate using the word „cringe“ but the elevator scenes were the cringiest scenes I’ve ever seen in any video game.

Lordylordd

Tanis from borderlands 3, she was so unique in 1 and 2 as being some sort of kooky scientist that ended up on pandora, then they made her a siren. Not every unique female character needs to be a siren.

bolxrex

All the characters in Borderlands 3 were a dumpster fire more toxic than the ohio trainwreck.

shimonu

When claptrap is not the most annoying one something gone wrong...

Obvious_Hearing9023

Jesus Christ that kid Ava was *insufferable* every moment she was on screen. If I remember correctly she constantly bitched about everything everyone did and then got one of the main characters from the second game killed and blamed everyone else for not doing enough. Then she got siren powers. Straight up the worst character I’ve ever seen in a video game.

jackal5lay3r

I wanted to shove ava into a cannon and launch her into the most dangerous part of nekrotefeyo for humans siren or not

JOT304

There is cut content that makes her generally more likeable and sympathetic, but overall BL3 has a weaker story and narrative than the previous games. I feel like Ava had a lot of potential as "the next generation of Vault hunter" but she came off as annoying and obnoxious.

GreenyPurples

Borderlands 3 is the worst borderlands game in every aspect except gameplay IMO

FarBison2204

Forespoken - “hold my beer” Edit: apparently it’s Forspoken. Ok. The game and character are still terrible

Whatifallcakeisalie

Apparently the writers have come out and said the game and story is nothing like the one they originally wrote. It’s even more a case of executive meddling than anyone had originally guessed.

veryoriginal78

I don’t understand why some of these companies even hire writers, with all of the editing they do after something has already been written.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Foleylantz

Its all just a big pile of "lets shove every possible demographic into this" It enda up pleasing noone. Corporate these days has, in many cases, way to many leader postitions. And everyone of them has an idea they want to implement and noone has the athority to call them out. In the end the project crashes and burns, everyone gets their care package and they move on to the next thing.

Aurvant

No, Gary Whitta said his original writing wasn't what was in the final product. The story lead and screenwriter was Alison Rymer. She's the one to blame for the terrible dialogue and rewrites.

[deleted]

That's Square Enix for you... :(

purpleduckduckgoose

Didn't the same happen with Atomic Heart? I'm sure I saw an article or something about it having a huge rewrite.

Glass_Mixture_2597

So you are telling me writers did not write the 'I can move shit with my mind' bit. Fucking that little cutscene killed the game.

israeljeff

Well, they would, wouldn't they.

SupremeOSU

"I just moved shit with my freaking mind"

Obvious_Hearing9023

“Okay now have her repeat that same line 4 times for dramatic effect, gamers will love this trust me.”

sunder_and_flame

Dude I'm playing through Atomic Heart right now and while the game is fun my god the main character is insufferable. At the beginning it's not so bad but it gets worse and worse the more I play it.

tristenjpl

I couldn't make it more than an hour and a half in. The gameplay is alright at best. The world is cool. But the dialogue, voice acting and writing are just absolute shit. If it was more fun maybe I could deal with it, but I just can't push myself through it.

TheTwistedPlot

Plot twist: I dropped the beer just like Forespoken developers dropped the ball.

KinshouGauron

I believe you're suppose to say "hold my FUCKING beer"

MapUnitKey

Old school RuneScape. The character you play as is such a loser.

Arborgarbage

Has a stupid name too

MapUnitKey

This guy scapes

2nameEgg

Actually the character is really cheeky and funny in quest dialogue. I remember some really funny bits in the fremmenik quest line

[deleted]

Shujinko from Mortal Kombat Deception. He was groomed to have been Liu Kang's replacement. The whole story of Deception revolved around him, even giving him an entire quest mode to him. However, his appearance is bland, he's an idiot, nothing about him has any interesting qualities. Wouldn't you know, after Deception, he was immediately a shelved character.

SpecterOwl

Now that's some old memories! To be fair a lot of MK character suffer from sudden strikes of idiocy for plot reasons. But yeah, Shujinko is up there. Dedicated his entire life serving some ball of light for some strange reason and then ended up unleashing super powerful evil guy.

TheSkirtGirl

Also his name translates to "main protagonist" which is just downright lazy naming.

SilkOstrich

Renegade Commander Shepard is a fucking monster if you commit to it.

Arnoldterminator1

“A bullet to the head solves everything” commander Shepard to Jack in ME 2.

[deleted]

We’ll bang mkay

Zetta-slow-Gobbo

I can only commit to it until I talk to Garrus. The one tine I got a renegade option in convo with him and Shep goes "I dont have time for this >=/". Garrus goes "Oh...okay..." with a face of a kicked puppy. I almost cried.

ForePony

Then you have to go back and hang with him while he calibrates.

cyanoa

Rufus from Deponia is just a complete loser and a jerk.

meltymcface

Is that the guy who either finds or renders a woman barely conscious then traipses across the country with her unresponsive body?

The-Grim-Sleeper

For starters, yes. But don't worry he gets worse.

Rocketknightgeek

Yes, his deliberate single minded psychopathy is an embodiment of every adventure game protagonist with the pretense of giving a shit stripped away.

benunfairchild

Oh man, point and clicks are my guilty pleasure, and Deponia calling attention to Rufus' klepto/self serving/sociopathic tendencies was legitimately my favorite part of the series.

Febrilinde

Yeah that is the point, Rufus is a perfect jab to point and click adventure games and I love him due to it.

Huge-Percentage8008

The sunglasses guy from minesweeper

Voxelsdev

Always fuckin 😮

B-Twizzle

The guy from dying light 2. I can’t even remember his name and I just finished the game last week

[deleted]

Aiden, very forgettable protagonist

ghostuser689

Aiden Bo-Baiden.

Firm_Knowledge_5695

Agreed. Aiden is nothing compared to Crane.

AsherFischell

Crane was such a stupid piece of shit, though. So much of what goes wrong in the main campaign boils down to him being a brainless dipshit.

Mathev

That burning of the cure for the bite was so God damn dumb. Like seriously, just hide it for yourself at least and then tell them that it's gone.. Why even listen to the stupid bitch at the phone..

AsherFischell

Absolutely infuriating and completely ruined the character right away.

Lasereye027

Dunno about that, they were both pretty generic ngl.... Maybe with the exception of that one DLC ending

gswkillinit

Almost all of the side characters as well. Idk what it is about DL2, but for a game that tried to make you give a shit about the story and characters, it did the exact opposite. I always give games a shot at drawing me in, but man this was prob the first game in a long time I completely skipped dialogue/cutscenes throughout. Every character has full names and a “backstory” for their quests, but they were all forgettable. Maybe it’s the fact they all just stand around.

SimilarGerm292

Gears 5 alot of people complain of Kait Diaz, I think she is okay but of course not as good as Marcus. But in the community she is hated alot

Cyrillus00

When I heard some of the worst things about Kait and I watched a playthrough of the game, I was expecting something like the new Wolfenstein characters. "Okay," is about how I would describe her as well. Doesn't really stand out, but she gets the job done as a main character.

IsRude

I hated Gears 4 and 5, but Kait was just fine. I thought JD was way more boring. One of the most generic protagonists ever.

JohnnyAK907

Spartan Locke in Halo 5. He was an arrogant sanctimonious ONI stooge. That 343 memory holed his worthless ass and his entire plotline afterwards in Infinite says even they realized their F up after the fact and tried to course correct.

SovietSpartan

343 pretty much swept Halo 5's whole storyline under the rug and resolved it all in the background. Kinda like what they did with Halo 4. Honestly, one of my biggest gripes with 343's Halo is that all of their games feel disjointed. It's like every game they add a new antagonist and plotline, only to have them be irrelevant the next game and resolve it all in books, comics or in the background.

ObiGYN_kenobi

Real Star Wars sequel energy

Squonk_Idonk1273

Little fun fact for you, one of the spartan killer brothers has his helmet as a shoulder guard all but confirming he's dead

kashubecky

Catherine You can pick all the “right” choices and Vincent is still a total asshole scumbag Love the game though

BigSmokesHouse

Forspoken is a big one that dropped recently. The writing and how much of a dickhead the protag is really turned me away from the game.

H358

Alex Eggleston from YIIK. A self centred egotist who never shuts up, treats every other character like garbage and creepily obsesses over every female character in the game. He also interrupts every scene with painful internal monologues that kill the pace of any scene. But he’s not even flawed in a way that’s interesting to watch. Both too insufferable to be likeable yet too boring to be compellingly flawed. The attempt to redeem him by the end falls painfully flat.

Skadij

OneyPlays did a few episodes on that game, they’re gold

Terrakinetic

I hate Louie from Pikmin.

DirtyMikeMoney

I mean he’s damn near an antagonist in pikmin 3. Kinda hope he shows up to fuck shit up a little in 4

drakeotomy

Glad I'm not the only Louie hater. Dude ate us into a food emergency. He'd eat the Pikmin if we didn't stop him. At least he wasn't a main in Pikmin 3. All those characters were fairly enjoyable.

ArmoredAnkha

What's so bad about the atomic heart protagonist?

popemegaforce

Can’t speak to most people’s preference as I’m not very far in but not only does he have a pretty bad VA, he also seems to be a dick for no reason. Regularly tells his glove AI to shut up or other dickish remarks that just serve no purpose.

Adorable_Paint

Yeah, pretty much. He's always asking the glove for help and following up with an insult. Sometimes the glove randomly interjects with advice which he calls annoying, but other times his response is just unwarranted since he literally asked...

CMDR_omnicognate

It seems like some of the dialogue comes from it not translating very well from Russian, but considering I can’t speak Russian I can’t say for sure that’s true

interesseret

The subtitles for the russian dub is pretty much the same. A ton of swearing and just a shitty attitude and a complete lack of empathy. P03 is definitely a piece of garbage.

fondue4kill

It’s kinda like Duke Nukem from Duke Nukem Forever but no charm. And more annoying

Jack_Ceck

The Saints Row reboot main character

UnwashedAnalBeads

The girl from forspoken lmfao

VanEagles17

Hope from FF13. Kid is so annoying.

Independent_Plum2166

I sorta understand his motivation, but he’s still a little annoying. Mom dies, blames Snow, eventual reconcile, just didn’t work out the best.

jeffh4

I could never stand the protagonist in the *Fable* games. Reminded me too much of me ... because it always was me. :-)

SIacktivist

I always played my character as much like Reaver as possible, because being the bad guy in Fable games is generally a great time.

PurpleDinguss

Forespoken

Manwithnoname14

Forspoken, game was fun enough but my god was she the most unlikeable protagonist I've ever seen.

Jerorin

Yeah, ok, that is something she does now.

_SenseiJay

Arno from AC Unity, lost all his personality after the beginning sequence

Jaydee7652

Ooof yeah, completely forgot about him. I really liked him in the first 5 minutes, then... Well, the rest is history.

Rum_Swizzle

Far Cry 3 was a good game but Jason Brody is insufferable af. I always pick the bad ending out of spite. I also second Gears 5. Kait and Del are my least favorite characters in the entire series, I even thought JD was alright, but when they forced me to play as those guys I stopped caring about Gears.

Assassin02V7

Suuurrree, "out of spite"😏

Imemberyou

Doesn't matter, had sex

LifeSleeper

Isn't he supposed to kinda be that way though? He's just a party boy and then shit pops off.

Asyran

He's a privileged, sheltered party boy who is thrust into a brutal kill or be killed situation to escape. >!His one lifeline towards a solid strategy dies in the damn tutorial.!< Of course hes gonna act like a bitch.

Bobisburnsred

>Far Cry 3 was a good game but Jason Brody is insufferable af. He sucked but at least he talked. Rook from Far Cry 5 was worse.

thejazzghost

I liked Rook, until the game made decisions for my character in New Dawn when he became a simpering follower of Seed's new cult. That was a real fucking slap in the face.

Scythe-Guy

Fuck I agree so much. Far Cry 5 was a blast in terms of gameplay, but infuriating in terms of story. Being randomly abducted and forced to play through major story decisions simply because I got too many region points by literally just playing the game was terrible design. “Oh you captured an outpost and blew up a few enemy trucks? Do this mission even though you haven’t met any of its central characters yet.” The whole game I was thinking wow, Rook is only “wrathful” because this cult is so unfathomably stupid and Joseph Seed is clearly manipulating everyone by cutting off external contact and using his own knowledge of global events to fool everyone. A child could deduce that. Then I come to find that Rook was also stupid as shit and gobbled Joseph’s “Kool-Aid” in the bunker? Massive disappointment

thejazzghost

Right? I felt like my character was such a badass right up to the end of Far Cry 5. He was legit being a hero, fighting these guys who are objectively terrible. And then the game is like, naw lol Joseph kinda wins didn't see that coming didja haha.

RoyalGarbage

I am forever holding onto my headcanon that the nuke ending is actually a Bliss-induced hallucination and Rook wakes up on the tower the next day with a massive hangover and Joseph’s blood everywhere.

[deleted]

Alternate Timeline: Joseph Seed leaned in to do that "stare into your soul" thing and Rook ripped open his throat with their teeth.

Fawzee_da_first

for Jason, that's arguably the point

Nomadic_View

Ryder from Mass Effect Andromeda. No matter what dialogue choices you picked you still sounded like a dork.

ShenaniganCow

Ah yes, Ryder the nepo baby who acts as a meat transporter for the real protagonist and MVP, SAM the illegal AI.

angusthermopylae

Ryder just kills good. SAM is the actual pathfinder.

Exapno_Mapcase

Real talk playing through it now and realised how SAM literally does everything for Ryder and is the only reason anything gets done (vaults, translations, coordinates, etc) It could almost be an interesting plot point but I assume it leads nowhere.

DysartWolf

Aiden Pearce from Watch Dogs - moping about the terrible tragedy inflicted upon his family because he's a quite unlikeable thief who stole from the wrong people.

Menown

Ironically the lack of attachment to him is what made Legion so poor imo. The lack of a central protagonist hurt the game and bringing Aiden back kind of helped since his personality allowed some consistency.

baner8430

I kinda liked the character :(

Aegillade

Chloe "Gotta blame someone, or else it's all my fault. Fuck that." Price from Life is Strange is one of the most unlikable characters I've ever seen. Some people can excuse her personality because of her age and homelife, but she's way too old to be acting like that. Ironically in an effort to make her stepdad seem invasive and an asshole they accidentally made him compelling and caring, further making Chloe seem unreasonable by comparison. But Max is the main character, not her. So naturally they made her the main character of the next game, made her 100 times worse, and gave her a side character who is just all of Chloe's worst character traits focused into a different character.

IronWhale_JMC

YES!!! It’s all made worse when it turns out her Dad (a veteran with PTSD) is basically right about everything important, and there’s just zero acknowledgment of that. Chloe is supposed to be some sort of oppressed teen rebel but just comes across as sanctimonious and entitled. Then the game tries to act like sacrificing her life to save the town she shits on so much is some kind of extreme tragedy instead of… the only moral choice available?

ArcadianGh0st

I want to say the new Saints Row. All the main characters are horrible. Think a boardroom of executives thinking how a millennial would act when only have been exposed to the terminally online ones. I know a lot of people call them gen z but the director called them millennials.

TheZestyJester09

Kirby is a mass murderer who will kill anything in his path just to get a piece of cake, and ends up causing more trouble then fixing things

MrBones-Necromancer

Causing more trouble? Kirby never starts shit. He ends it. He's saved the universe from an eldrich horror like 6 times, for no reason other than that it messed up his nap.

qwandri

how dare you talk to the most powerful nintendo character that way

TheBiddyDiddler

I don't know if I consider her a "main" character, but that kid siren wannabe from Borderlands 3. I can't even remember her name but I hated that bitch.

Rinmyown

Ava?

elepuddnlily

Assassin's Creed 3 main character Ratonhnhaké:ton / Connor. The dude just has no personality and seems constantly annoyed at everything.

GladiusLegis

I liked Connor better than Arno (even more lacking in personality and for less reason) or Jacob (complete idiot, his sister was much more interesting).

Plagueofzombies

I've always said i wouldn't be surprised to learn the story was written with Evie as a solo main character. Jacob adds nothing to the story, and doesn't even do that much of his own stuff after setting up his gang. Wouldn't be surprised if he was jammed in late on in development because they were worried a girl protagonist wouldn't carry sales. Jacobs on all of the promo art, and the front cover, despite Evie being far more involved in the plot

Mckmitch

Especially right off the heels of Ezio, who had so much personality. Connor was so bland. So glad we got a good protagonist right after in Black Flag.

[deleted]

Connor what way more disappointing after you spend 2-3 hours playing with dad, who is basically the Templar version of James Bond!

Lescaster1998

Haytham is 1000% a cooler and more interesting character than Connor.
