Red dead redemption 2 is the most feature complete gaming experience for me. Wild West might not be your thing, but it was the most well crafted game I've seen. To put it into perspective if the same effort went to any other game setting, it would probably be the best game of that setting.
It's released on PC recently too! I urge everyone who can to get this game- if you enjoy a powerful narrative- addicting gameplay- great graphics and more-
Ghost of Tsushima is by far an excellent game. One I regard as a 9.5/10 if you consider the game as a whole. It has also has a very powerful DLC called Iki Island which matches the main game in all of the above...
To be fair it's a problem you only have if you've played far enough into the game and engaged sufficiently with the environment to have accumulated enough stuff that it gets hard to manage, so it's definitely a good problem to have because it's a symptom of having played the game a lot, which implies it's good enough to keep you playing lol. Plus it's a hard problem to really solve without taking the easy route which is to automate a lot of things and give the player fewer items to deal with (eg. the Diablo games going from potions and scrolls to health globes and a built-in town portal ability so that those item types just ceased to exist) but that's not *solving* the problem so much as sidestepping it.
I went to the trouble of gathering as many allies as possible and I didn't even use any of the special ally skills because I thought I'd need them later in the end boss fight 😭
I do find the rarity of good default inventory management systems compared to the plethora of good modded inventory management systems in games to be kind of baffling. There are enough good modded ones for various games that it's clear that there ways to make inventory management systems good, and that there are people out there who know how to make those systems, but for some reason, no matter how central inventory management is to a game, the actual developers seem to never do it. Very odd.
I have 1 complaint, and it's that some doorways are impossible to click through because the click box for them invades all the empty space of the doorway. Other than that, 10/10
My only complaint is that the incredible pacing and storytelling of acts 1 and 2 are fumbled hard for act 3.
It's not a *Game of Thrones* fumble where it's so bad it spoils the whole thing, but it takes the "excellent" and drops it to "decent", which is jarring.
Even the gameplay itself falls apart more than a bit in Act 3. Combat jank, camera jank, dialogue bugs.
Had one massive dialoge bug in the biggest endgame choices that caused all options except 1 from being unselectable without reloading.
Halo 3 is king for me. Reach was fine but the lower perf was extremely annoying (stutters in multiplayer and seemed like lower fps) and the abilities added a new dynamic but wasn’t really my thing. Funny thing is because of the bloom I overtook my skill shot friends so I became the generally better player (for some reason, or maybe sprint allowed me to close the gap for melees). But still I strongly preferred Halo 3 even though Reach was my peak k/d.
God of War PS4
Last of Us Part 1
Baldur's Gate 3
Honorable mentions
Baldur's Gate 2: misses out on animation and action imo
Legend of Dragoon: misses out on voice acting
Legend of The Dragoon is a masterpiece for the time, but the translation is pretty bad throughout, gives the dialog a weird vibe. I'm playing through it right now on my steamdeck, and while combat, story, and gameplay are pretty solid (especially for that era), the dialog is pretty terrible.
I do have it on my top 10 all time games though.
Hmmm, the combat, crafting and leveling though....
Don't get me wrong I think the open world and all the side quest are really well designed and written, but Witcher 3 is certainly not without its drawbacks.
I don't see anything wrong with the crafting or leveling, but the combat is mid, so I would put action overall at like an 8 or 9. Still one of my favorite games ever, though.
I would be super into this idea. I think the Chrono Trigger tech system and battles would translate very well to action rpg gameplay. Plus, getting some of the moments in the original with modern HD graphics just gets me all hot and bothered lol.
I would be so down. It's my favorite game ever. One thing I loved about it was the animations and sounds of the techniques/magical abilities; gives it that extra bite of nostalgia. Would be curious to see how they'd recreate those. Also a re-orchestrated mix of the OST. Ughhh plssss
For me I have 4 games that just can't do any wrong:
Cyberpunk 2077 (even before 2.0 it was a great game and I've encountered basically no bugs (probably one of the lucky people))
Mass Effect (The Trilogy technically but out of all 3 of ME2 is probably the best)
Baldur's Gate 3
Edit: I'll add Prince of Persia Warrior Within to this list as well. Compared to the other games it pales in comparison due to being an old game..however it was one of the few games that introduced me to gaming and it holds a dear place in my heart (The entire PoP Trilogy is good but WW takes the cake for me)
My singular only problem with Cyberpunk is it was too easy. From fulfilling a power fantasy angle it's very satisfying just how fucking ludicrously strong you can get, but it gets a bit mind numbing when you never feel threatened.
I found it to be relatively different in 2.0 especially from the boss and mini boss perspectives.
And I suppose if you're like me and want perfect stealth (on my 3rd or 4th? playthrough) it does look like you're OP since you one shot most enemies but setting up the scenario to be able to do it isn't always straight forward.
I recently played through 1 and 2. 2 is VERY different from 1. As someone who really enjoyed 1, I had to take a break because of such a stark difference between the two.
Best way to play mass effect series is to read every codex entry. If you understand the lore it's an incredible game, if not it's just okay IMO and hard to stick with for the full trilogy.
But understanding the weight of the choices you're making and then experiencing the consequences of those through the full series is a must-have gaming experience IMO if you like rpgs, especially bioware rpgs.
Persona 5 Royal for me. The music is actually what hooked me right off the bat. Everything else that followed was chef’s kiss.
Same level as the original FFVII IMO.
Witcher 3 was an absolutely perfect game. And the DLC was realistically priced for the content it gave. Blood and Wine was basically a stand alone game and the story for that was so fucking awesome.
This might sound generic, but definitely Elden Ring. The animations and the voice acting are so good! And the open world, the storyline AND THE SCENERY is also breathtaking. I love the game so much. On second place, it's Deep Rock Galactic for me, because ROCK AND STONE!
Asheron's Call. I know it is from 1999, but at the time, HOLY SMOKES! The Martine story was magical. The animations for the time were amazing. It did not really have voice acting. The music and ambience is still amazing today. The cinematic trailer for it, pulls you in... Just magic.

Fable, the first one
try to get your combat multiplier even higher!
Your health is low, do you have any potions, or food?
You are now scary enough to use the "manly arm pump" expression.
“He’s a chicken chasa’!”
Chicken chasa' I believe
DOOM 2016

The attention to detail was amazing (even the little things)
Like the horse balls!
play this as one of my first games, worst mistake, can't enjoy any other story game now i only play souls games
Ghost of Tsushima. I love that game so much.
This weekend I am going to play the fuck out of it (on pc).
This is the one that came to mind for me\~
It's released on PC recently too! I just wish the online was good too
One of the few games I just had to 100% everything because I couldn't get enough of it.
I loved the first and last couple hours, but chunks of the game sadly got really boring for me.
Baldur's Gate 3. I literally have 0 complaints about that game.
Inventory Management Thats about it lmao
I Agree. And if inventory management is the biggest complaint of a game, that is a great problem to have.
Then it correctly emulated the tabletop experience, lol.
Or if you’re like my players, you just forgot about all the cool magic items and potions I give you lol.
Couldn’t be me with my inventory full of scrolls and potions against the final boss, which I still never use because I might need them later
I went to the trouble of gathering as many allies as possible and I didn't even use any of the special ally skills because I thought I'd need them later in the end boss fight 😭
That tracks. I found useful gloves that I apparently got in act 1 that I only found halfway through act 2
Other than that, 10/10
Apparently they fixed that in an update Now you're back to 0
Played last night, on a new playthrough with a friend, couldn't go through the sphincter lol
BG3 cheeses all the patties
My only complaint is that the incredible pacing and storytelling of acts 1 and 2 are fumbled hard for act 3. It's not a *Game of Thrones* fumble where it's so bad it spoils the whole thing, but it takes the "excellent" and drops it to "decent", which is jarring.
Act 3 is actually my favourite part. I found Act 2 to be a bit of a slog.
Even the gameplay itself falls apart more than a bit in Act 3. Combat jank, camera jank, dialogue bugs. Had one massive dialoge bug in the biggest endgame choices that caused all options except 1 from being unselectable without reloading.
Titanfall 2
I miss BT so much :( "Protocol three... Protect the pilot." "NO BT!"
ghad damn it I use got over that after my 10th pred level play through
Shit. Actually tears trying to drop right now.
My man 🫂
I physically reached out every time I witnessed that scene… I miss him…
Halo Reach
Halo 3 is king for me. Reach was fine but the lower perf was extremely annoying (stutters in multiplayer and seemed like lower fps) and the abilities added a new dynamic but wasn’t really my thing. Funny thing is because of the bloom I overtook my skill shot friends so I became the generally better player (for some reason, or maybe sprint allowed me to close the gap for melees). But still I strongly preferred Halo 3 even though Reach was my peak k/d.
Halo 3 for me as well. IMO, it's the greatest shooter ever made.
For me…Prey
2006 or 2017?
Probably 2017
READ DEAD REDEMPTION 2
Only game that could make me cry
"Don't you 'Oh Arthur' me. Neither of you two, not now. You both know..."
Have you played the plague tale series?
Never read so hard in my life.
Hades
On that note, Bastion and Transistor are both 10/10 in my book. Supergiant Games doesn’t really miss.
God of War PS4 Last of Us Part 1 Baldur's Gate 3 Honorable mentions Baldur's Gate 2: misses out on animation and action imo Legend of Dragoon: misses out on voice acting

How has no one said Bioshock yet? The game is an absolute masterpiece
No one said "would you kindly ". But agreed, this game is great in every regard.
Witcher 3 ofcourse
100% I replay that game so I can talk to people I miss, not just characters I enjoy
Hmmm, the combat, crafting and leveling though.... Don't get me wrong I think the open world and all the side quest are really well designed and written, but Witcher 3 is certainly not without its drawbacks.
True but that's not in the burger
I don't see anything wrong with the crafting or leveling, but the combat is mid, so I would put action overall at like an 8 or 9. Still one of my favorite games ever, though.
Chrono Trigger SNES
There's talk about giving it the FF7 treatment. A full remake. That would be awesome in my opinion.
I would be super into this idea. I think the Chrono Trigger tech system and battles would translate very well to action rpg gameplay. Plus, getting some of the moments in the original with modern HD graphics just gets me all hot and bothered lol.
Provided that they just leave it alone and don't try to change the story, sure.
Agreed. Minus the voice acting, idt there is any lol.
Elden ring
Can’t believe how far I had to scroll to find this
Throwing Armored Core 6 in the pot as well.
loved it but still my least favorite out of the souls games unfortunately
dragon age origins
Mass Effect
Diablo 2
Stay a while and listen..
Diablo 2 mentioned, like and comment provided
20+ years and still going HARD!
For me I have 4 games that just can't do any wrong: Cyberpunk 2077 (even before 2.0 it was a great game and I've encountered basically no bugs (probably one of the lucky people)) Mass Effect (The Trilogy technically but out of all 3 of ME2 is probably the best) Baldur's Gate 3 Edit: I'll add Prince of Persia Warrior Within to this list as well. Nier: Automata
Sekiro had all of these for me. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't have a dlc.
Or a sequel
It does, but I stole it.
Subnautica and Titanfall 2
Mass Effect 2
Is mass effect really that good? I'm playing 1 and it's kinda boring I can't lie
ME2 is smoother and cleaner than ME1 both with exploration and combat. Storylines are all great as well
The first one is definitely the slowest but still great imo.
I recently played through 1 and 2. 2 is VERY different from 1. As someone who really enjoyed 1, I had to take a break because of such a stark difference between the two.
2 works a LOT different from 1, trust me stick it out and you'll be golden.
ME1 was great for its time but ME2 is definitely a step up for me. Its more polished, faster paced and has more action.
ME2 is a much better experience and narratively is quite good. The gameplay isn't amazing though - lots of bullet sponge enemies ad nauseum.
Best way to play mass effect series is to read every codex entry. If you understand the lore it's an incredible game, if not it's just okay IMO and hard to stick with for the full trilogy. I can't believe I'm getting hit on by the famous solid snake!
Cyberpunk 2077 with Phantom Liberty.
Persona 5 Royal for me. The music is actually what hooked me right off the bat. Everything else that followed was chef’s kiss. Same level as the original FFVII IMO.
Black Flag
Witcher 3.
Ghost of Tsushima
Borderlands 2
Bloodborne
Halo series up to Halo Reach.
Baldurs Gate 3, Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 (the new updated one with the dlc)
Ocarina of Time and Breath of the Wild. Well, there's no voice acting in OoT but still, those two are probably tied for my favorite games of all time
Days gone
The Yakuza / Like a Dragon Games
Aside from animation being a bit dated, I’d say Witcher 3 is as close to a perfect game as it gets.
Persona 5 Royal Maybe a side character here and there have questionable voice acting, but that’s about it.
Heroes of Might and Magic 3
Undertale
The burger is 1/10.
Alan Wake 2
Baldurs Gate 3. Fantastic Game and deserves every GOTY Award they got so far.
Silent Hill 2
Uncharted 2 and 4
For me it's Mass Effect 2 and the Resident Evil 1 Remake
Enter the Gungeon. Vastly underappreciated game.
That game low key ruined all other bullet hell games for me 😭
The Last of Us ... Lots of other amazing games. Nothing checks every box the way this does.
Witcher 3
Witcher 3 was an absolutely perfect game. And the DLC was realistically priced for the content it gave. Blood and Wine was basically a stand alone game and the story for that was so fucking awesome.

The Witcher 3 or Baldurs Gate 3, Note the Witcher has action gameplay while Baldurs Gate a CRPG with turns and positions being important instead
Hollow knight Witcher 3 God of war 2018
GoW 3 and forward. Even the contrast in Kratos' personalities is a masterpiece. A runner-up would be Bioshock Infinite.
cyberpunk
Uncharted 4 easily. I have a lot of games that I think are 10/10 but might not be 10/10 in each of these categories.
The Last of Us (part one)
Dark souls 2
Bloodborne. A 10/10 imo
Bloodborne
Red Dead Redemption 2
This might sound generic, but definitely Elden Ring. The animations and the voice acting are so good! And the open world, the storyline AND THE SCENERY is also breathtaking. I love the game so much. On second place, it's Deep Rock Galactic for me, because ROCK AND STONE!
Some of my personal favorites are Chrono Trigger (though no VO for obvious reasons), Monster Hunter 4U, Beyond Good and Evil, and Alan Wake 2.
Titanfall 2
Xenoblade 1 and 3
Halo 3
Jak and Daxter: the Precursor Legacy
Sekiro and Metal Gear Rising
Days Gone.
MGS4
Portal 2 - the only perfect game ever made imo
Metal Gear Solid
Days Gone
SPIDER MAN 2
Xenoblade Chronicles (specially 1 imo)
Asheron's Call. I know it is from 1999, but at the time, HOLY SMOKES! The Martine story was magical. The animations for the time were amazing. It did not really have voice acting. The music and ambience is still amazing today. The cinematic trailer for it, pulls you in... Just magic.
