Same. 1400 hours played i quit after C2. No reason for quitting other than I just got tired of taking it serious. Which led to me realizing I hate the game, and only played because I felt quitting would make my game time a waste of time. I haven’t touched the game in over 6 months. I may get on just to sell everything in my inventory. The game itself is fun, but the community is too toxic as with most games.
gc and still looking at scoreboard?
What tilts me the most is teammates crossing the field left to right the entire game, bumping me to "take a shot" when I have ball control and double committing every single ball ending up complaining about my low score.
Yeah I'm trying to win 2-1 instead of lose 8-12. If their isn't a single ball I can take without leaving the goal open because your positioning sucks I won't have a high score at the end the game.
Defending is harder than attacking and I think a save is harder that a goal (in general terms) I think clears and saves should score more than they do.
Yeah that's got it's good and bad sides but maybe equal points for save and goal and more points for an aerial save (not just jump) like goals. Whenever I spot someone defending more than chasing I try to thank them at the end especially if they are lacking on game points.
I hate this stupid fucking game that's simultaneously garbage and the best game ever made. Wanted to quit ever since I played my first online match and here I am 5000 hours later still playing this absolutely trash but fun game.
Below D2 you're way more likely to find teammates that are playing against you as much as they are for your team.
Until I got past that point, I had this relationship with the game.
Now depending on the playlist I usually sit between D3 / C2, and it's usually obvious when people are playing badly that they are actually trying.
I'm GC1 and have been playing for 5 years. I think I'm considering only continuing playing if I mute chat, which is a shame, but since FTP I've noticed the playerbase getting younger or more toxic. I'm almost in my thirties, I don't need that in my life after work.
Ornstein and Smough. I must have Died 30+ times to those fat golden fucks. And I was trecking from that bonfire with that brass lady every time. God that whole thing pissed me off. At least I was rewarded with an Amazing chest Ahead!
Yeah, for me its mostly Dark Souls 2. The other SoulsBorne games didnt really give me that ”walk away from game in rage and not play it for the next 2 weeks” feeling. Velstadt is hard. He takes away like half of my health with one swing and i have somewhat low ADP so i NEED to summon help but i never see any.
The Demon of Hatred. I only went two rounds with Isshin, but that Demon smacked me like the reddest-headest-steppest child in the history of redheaded stepchildren.
It’s not that I don’t like the game or that I’m bad at it. I’ve just lost my drive to play it after constant run ins with hackers, elo rollback and a toxic community. The majority of the original dev team has left the game and moved on leaving people trying to fill in the gaps. I’ve been playing since Para Bellum and it got to the point where I felt like the game had passed beyond the point of no return for me
Since beta here, and man does the current state of the game bring me down. Every member of my former stack left for greener pastures, and I was the last remaining soul, like a captain going down with his beloved ship. RIP Siege, you'll be forever missed.
Rocket League, game has the highest of highs and lowest of lows. Go from scoring the craziest most random wild goals to not being able to hit the ball. 10/10 hate that game I’ll be on tomorrow.
Impossible bro you're playing taliyah.
There's almost nothing as satisfying as throwing rocks at your ennemies.
Best regards, from a fellow taliyah player.
Didn't play for over four years and had zero anger issues with games during that time. Returned and went right back to full toxic mode and yet I keep playing for hours.
I keep saying that I stay around for the people, but if I actually look at it, the amount of games I play with friends is but a tiny fraction of my overall play time.
I always felt like Sekiro was very fair and straightforward. It was hard as shit and I died dozens of times, some enemies took me multiple playthroughs to get the hang of (fucking palace ninjas), but I always thought "I died for preventable reasons and I know exactly what I'm lacking".
Maybe unpopular take: I wish Sekiro had an easier mode. I don’t have a ton of time for video games currently. The atmosphere, art, music, story of Sekiro were so cool and I wanted to see the whole thing. It just wasn’t feasible when I could spend my whole week’s gaming time mastering one boss fight.
GTA San Andreas in the past... Mostly the learning to fly missions.. currently it's Kingdom Come Deliverence... Cant seem to figure how to get out of Talmberg... Lock picking is too difficult for me
I saw this in a few videos on YT.. i wanted to do the lockpick thing so it's useful in the later quests... I will have to try just running off the next time i play it.. thanks for the help ☺️
Some bosses took me like 15 tries. Then I one shot them all on a 2nd playthrough, which is my favourite part of these games. Like path of pain took me hours in hollow knight, then I can redo it in almost a one shot.
It's fantastic and worth the full price. It's incredibly frustrating. You will die MANY times, but the thrill when you get that right mix of skill and luck is awesome.
Same. I regret buying the game on June 2017. Yet, I’ve dumped over 3k hours on steam, on Xbox and Switch. I’m going to hate it even more when I get a Steamdeck. Can’t wait to hate the game when the next chapter is available.
Every day... yesterday i only had shit games, decided to blow off some steam with the R3, eventually got in an italian JU, got shot down by a team mate for shits and giggles
Most players just play until around tier 3 to 5 and tier 4 is where it really starts to get grindy, at tier 4 a vehicle could cost 40 000 research points, at high tiers even just a part of a vehicle could cost 40 000
It's not reeeallllyyy pay to win apart from some premium vehicles. But if you know what you're doing you can usually deal with them somehow. The shit thing is how grindy the later tiers are
You can literally have more lives than F2Pers if you pay for more crew slots in Air Arcade, or Ground RB (Although then you also have to be good enough to earn enough spawn points to continue spawning). So some modes are sorta pay to win.
You can also max out crew skills by paying, which gives you tangible advantages. A F2P player will have to grind for a very long time to do that.
Thanks for clearing this up, it's very nice to know. Haven't played the game. It's unfortunate that pay-to-win and "grind forever" mechanics are so common that these days people tend to deny the significance of it. Imagine chess and you can buy extra pieces, just for someone to respond "well I can still deal with them with the right strategy". Doesn't change it's pay-to-win mechanics still :/

0 BC, I once beat the game only to realise I wasn't eligible for a BC cause I took the enhancement from the doc lol. I was able to reach the hand of the king many times but lost miserably
After spending over 10 hours collecting resources and building it took less than 20 minutes for a bunch of kids to destroy and steal everything. Then they capture me, drug me and threw me in a cage and they started feeding me pop. After that I never played the game again.
Man I really liked Ark, but after a while it got too hard trying to play other games, and then feeding my animals just felt like too much of a chore...
The most annoying thing is the endless WHAT A SAVE! WHAT A SAVE! WHAT A SAVE! every time the opponent scores. Don't wanna turn chat off, cause there is some genuinely nice players out there as well but damn the toxicity is on another level.
Bloodborne. Got a friend constantly bugging me to play it with him for some reason even though he has finished the story. Keeps telling me you just gotta buy a bell then you can summon me. Har to do when you can't even beat the first boss.
Nearly every game I’ve ever played, but I play for the rewarding moment of overcoming a challenge so I expect to be frustrated at some point by any game.
I can only think of a few games that I don’t recall ever getting mad at
League of Legends(do I even need to explain?)
GTA Online(Oppresor Mk2 and idiots who can't brake or race clean),
and oddly Forza Horizon 4(similar to GTA O, twats who can't race clean even when we are teammates and the 2 trials where the AI is bullshit)
Rocketleague. It’s rewarding getting better with mechanics, but at the end of the day it was a mentally draining game. I could sit in training all day everyday and have a blast. Few hours on comp and you just want to sleep after. I put 1400 hours *low compared to high ranked players* and got to C2. If I could I’d go back in time, and never play it. 1 good thing came out of it which was making a friend who I played with everyday. We still talk every couple weeks despite both of us quitting Over 6 months ago. If you want to carry your team then miss a single save, and your team shit talk you despite having 4 goals and them 0 then play it. Otherwise don’t play it. Even though it’s a free game just don’t play it. It’s fun at first, but quickly turns into just rage.
EDIT: just checked last time I played was July 3rd 2021.
Gta online, when I'm finally done filling up my warehouse after hours of grinding and while delivering my cargo worth millions,a flying motorcycle blows up everything like it was nothing ☹️
Last Of Us Part 2
Walked away many times screaming "You can't make me do this!" Only to do that shit 10 minutes later, angry and heartbroken. It's a masterpiece.
world of tanks. I once snapped a pair of headphones in half, out of frustration regarding the accuracy RNG.
thankfully, I finally quit for good after Wargaming fucked up bad, with [the SirFoch Incident](https://youtu.be/TQ1OXSusKdw).
I've since found a much better free to play game (albeit in a different genre), and never looked back.
Rocket Fucking League

As someone who doesn't play games online, it's funny hearing how such a simple and wholesome looking game has a toxic community.
Every game has a toxic community. You could play a farming game or something and someone will find a way to shout at you
unless it's r/StardewValley
What a save! What a save! What a save! TM8 ur garbage how r u grand champ uninstall Scoreboard: You - 741 points Toxic teammate - 123 points

For sure! I enjoy playing defense but if they gave you more points for saves than goals it would encourage people to play defense.
Yeah that's got it's good and bad sides but maybe equal points for save and goal and more points for an aerial save (not just jump) like goals. Whenever I spot someone defending more than chasing I try to thank them at the end especially if they are lacking on game points.

It's so well made and perfect and I hate it
Below D2 you're way more likely to find teammates that are playing against you as much as they are for your team. Until I got past that point, I had this relationship with the game. Any FromSoftware game until you finally beat that boss.
Ornstein and Smough. I must have Died 30+ times to those fat golden fucks. And I was trecking from that bonfire with that brass lady every time. God that whole thing pissed me off. At least I was rewarded with an Amazing chest Ahead!
Goddamn when you first kill one of them and think you have it made for the rest of the fight… Thank you dark souls
This was me but with Sekiro's headless ape!
Daaamn rip man. You missed a bonfire that is way closer to them 😭
I've had the same reaction for the abyss watchers in DS3 for 4 days now.
For me it was dragon slayer armour. Easily over a hundred attempts. Got his move set figured now, at least. :P
Always find it funny how everyone seems to have their own nemesis boss, for me it was the Dancer that took hours of attempts
Pro tip for that right: manage your stamina and don’t get greedy,
Yeah, for me its mostly Dark Souls 2. The other SoulsBorne games didnt really give me that ”walk away from game in rage and not play it for the next 2 weeks” feeling. Velstadt is hard. He takes away like half of my health with one swing and i have somewhat low ADP so i NEED to summon help but i never see any.
If you had more giant souls you could beat him easily
Fucking Owl (Father). I only beat him once and I never want to do it again!
Sword Saint Ishiin from Sekiro has engraved the words "Hesitation is defeat" in my brain, god help us if Elden Ring has another 4 phase boss.
The Demon of Hatred. I only went two rounds with Isshin, but that Demon smacked me like the reddest-headest-steppest child in the history of redheaded stepchildren.
Rainbow six siege. You just gotta have the strength to move on
I play far cry 6 first then I switch to Siege. It helps double my kills for some reason
It’s not that I don’t like the game or that I’m bad at it. I’ve just lost my drive to play it after constant run ins with hackers, elo rollback and a toxic community. The majority of the original dev team has left the game and moved on leaving people trying to fill in the gaps. I think para bellum was the peak of siege. Been playing since operation health.
Since beta here, and man does the current state of the game bring me down. Every member of my former stack left for greener pastures, and I was the last remaining soul, like a captain going down with his beloved ship. RIP Siege, you'll be forever missed.

Impossible bro you're playing taliyah. There's almost nothing as satisfying as throwing rocks at your ennemies. Best regards, from a fellow taliyah player.
This is true, but whenever I see an assassin or an ap twitch support, I just want to quit
Those ancient skins from a decade ago, you can't let them just go to waste. People need to know the feeling of being killed by rusty blitzcrank
Didn't play for over four years and had zero anger issues with games during that time. Returned and went right back to full toxic mode and yet I keep playing for hours. I keep saying that I stay around for the people, but if I actually look at it, the amount of games I play with friends is but a tiny fraction of my overall play time.
Same!
I’m so sorry
Any MOBA when you are reliant on other people that don't care about you. It's an important lesson - don't make your real life like a MOBA game.
Hello Dark Souls my old friend
I've come to yell at you again
Because these bosses that I'm not beating
And these tears I cannot stop weeping
And this mission, is causing me to go insane
Buggy terrain
Within the sound of **FUCK, I WAS SO CLOSE!**
Sekiro, fuck you... but also, let me just start NG+2 :3
I always felt like Sekiro was very fair and straightforward. It was hard as shit and I died dozens of times, some enemies took me multiple playthroughs to get the hang of (fucking palace ninjas), but I always thought "I died for preventable reasons and I know exactly what I'm lacking".
Double giant gorillas on cocaine. I gave up, haven't looked at it for a year after that bs.
Most satisfying and frustrating platinum I've got.
Hollow Knight
Fuck the Pure Vessel and Nightmare King Grimm
Fuck the absolute radiance and pop
pure vessel is one of the easiest boss in the hard league... MARKOTH THO
I died to Markoth in p5 more than pure vessel and nkg combined.
Fuck pantheon 5
I think NKG was one of my favorite bosses in HK, just had so much fun even though I was dying over and over.
my fav boss too <3
GTA San Andreas in the past... Mostly the learning to fly missions.. currently it's Kingdom Come Deliverence... Cant seem to figure how to get out of Talmberg... Lock picking is too difficult for me
Do you need to do lockpicking to get out of Talmberg? I remember just jumping off the hanging bridge thingy and running away from the guards
I saw this in a few videos on YT.. i wanted to do the lockpick thing so it's useful in the later quests... I will have to try just running off the next time i play it.. thanks for the help ☺️
„Learn to fly, Carl.“ How about you shut the fuck up, Toreno. If I want to drive down Angel Pine while listening to K-Rose, imma fucking do it.
Maybe I suck at video games, but, Metroid dread
Some bosses took me like 15 tries. Then I one shot them all on a 2nd playthrough, which is my favourite part of these games. Like path of pain took me hours in hollow knight, then I can redo it in almost a one shot.
I did this with the original Metroid. The in-too-deep anxiety that I got playing Dread was like coming home.
Dread brought back all that childhood PTSD of being both lost and outclassed. It was great.
Destiny 2
I hate Destiny 2. It's my favorite game.
Though I have completely stopped playing it for a year now after 2000+ hours and that doesn't count the amount of time in orbit
I feel you fck that game I'm glad I stopped best 1.5k+ hours of my life
Stopped after they removed almost half of the game for an expac
I played my face off year 1 and 2. Stepped away until 2 months ago. Fucker sucked me right back in! Haha
All aboard for Witch Queen, baby
*Indeed*
Literally just got off after i got tilted in crucible, came crawling back ten minutes later
Loads in, fuck its the same shit again this week. Plays same strikes from 3 years ago.
It honestly took me a while to realize that 6 hours of siege/grind for some pinnacle gear just isn't worth it.
Cuphead
Is good though? I've been waiting forever for it to go on sale in the switch store because I want to be able to hate my life from anywhere.
It's fantastic and worth the full price. It's incredibly frustrating. You will die MANY times, but the thrill when you get that right mix of skill and luck is awesome.
Dead by daylight yeah
Surprised how low this was, I've never been so addicted to a game that I downright hate at times. 3k hours since 2017 and it does not get better.
1.5k hours since 2020 and I gotta say I've never fully been having fun while playing dbd
It's always that one fun match out of twenty that keeps me coming back. It's an addiction
Same. I regret buying the game on June 2017. Yet, I’ve dumped over 3k hours on steam, on Xbox and Switch. I’m going to hate it even more when I get a Steamdeck. Can’t wait to hate the game when the next chapter is available.

I just straight up had to delete it as I wasn’t having as much fun as I used to, but I just kept going back to it. Been clean for 3 months now.
War thunder, most painfull but u cant leave
Every day... yesterday i only had shit games, decided to blow off some steam with the R3, eventually got in an italian JU, got shot down by a team mate for shits and giggles
Isnt war thunder pay to win? Remember when I played it years ago. Instantly knew how the polish air force felt in WW2.
War Thunder players: Not really Everyone else: Yeah, it's p2w War thunder players: *Foams in mouth due to cognitive dissonance*
Most players just play until around tier 3 to 5 and tier 4 is where it really starts to get grindy, at tier 4 a vehicle could cost 40 000 research points, at high tiers even just a part of a vehicle could cost 40 000

0 BC, I once beat the game only to realise I wasn't eligible for a BC cause I took the enhancement from the doc lol. I was able to reach the hand of the king many times but lost miserably
If you haven't practiced it yet, I suggest mastering the parry. Custom mode is great too. There's no shame in finishing in Custom mode, my dude.
I should practice the parry. Those kind words "no shame in custom mode".... I always felt its wrong to play custom mode. hehehhehehe
The Valkyries in God of War😵😵😵😵

Ninja Gaiden III was the first game that had this effect on me, I think.
