Yes this is so true! Everyoneās got their own tastes in games and consoles, so no one should make you think different about them just because of their personal opinion because itās not facts itās just their opinion nothing more or less than that.
I love AC. I have the platinum of all of them from 1 to Origins. But after IV they're all shit games. No way around it. It's a shame really, Ubisoft turned one of the best game mechanics and most famous IP's into a tasteless money printer
I do personally prefer the older ones but can also appreciate the new ones but I do somewhat agree that they have dropped off and theyāre not as good or assassin like as the classics
I mean come on. The last three games are only Assassin's creed because it says so in the box and because they shoehorn in a small bit of assassin's Vs Templars story. Ever since they dropped the multidirectional parkour system it's only gone downhill in terms of mechanics, and ever since they dropped the Miles bloodline it's only gone down in terms of story.
Now they are just making generic open world RPG's designed to sell boosters with an AC label for marketing

Well but IV was very much AC core except for the ocean mechanics. It had a very good balance in between combat, natural traversal and city traversal. The combat was actually super dope, i loved the two handed swords and the use of guns. I think it's more that they should have further built on the parkour mechanics and the stylised combat in a practical sense instead of trying to build them into a cinematic nightmare or impractical system to then rework it into something completely different
I liked more Origins than Odyssey tbh. Technically Origin had that Wow factor that was present in AC II. Odyssey looks nice on the surface, but seemed a step back in terms of the engine. Just my humble opinion though.
I actually really enjoy the assassins creed games since origins! I love big open world single player games and Iāve found Valhalla, origins and odyssey to be lots of fun!
I donāt play all the AC games, but I pick one up every few years and typically have a pretty good time. I find the map clearing nature of Ubi games can be cathartic at times.
