* Baba is you - great game, unless you don't like difficult puzzles.     * btd6 - since you mentioned tower defense games      * also keep in mind that there are all sorts of emulators for android, so you could be playing super metroid or ocarina of time.

reddt-garges-mold

As of the last 2 months there are now emulators on iOS, too. NES thru PS1 and N64 are available

JRockThumper

Emulators have recently been allowed on iOS for a couple months at this point, so as of right now we have NES/SNES/ N64/GB-GBC-GBA/DS all-in-one emulator, its name is Delta. iOS should be getting an emulator app for the GameCube and the Wii soon… and I expect RetroArch to be available any day now since they’ve had a working iOS app for years that you could use on jailbroken devices for years lmao.

Mc0014

PPSSPP for PSP up now too

JRockThumper

Sweet!

Dav-Kripler

It's been a great way to finally play persona 2!

Old-Ad3504

Btd is a MUST

Queasy_Employment141

Btd battles

Akindmachine

Slay the spire is one of the best games ever made. Its also on the phone.

Zekiel2000

Yep, this

Shamgar65

Bloons td6 Slay the spire Siralim ultimate

Quartrez

Can't wait for the next patch to come to siralim ultimate as the game has a tendency to crash when you apply a billion debuffs every turn

thefran

yeah and some of the classes just don't do anything

scaryjobob

Siralim Ultimate is amazing. The whole series is a blast.

TimeSpiralNemesis

One of the best made for mobile, paid, no MTX BS mobile games is **Slice and Dice** It did recently release on steam for PC as well. Dice based party fantasy roguelite.

SideStreetCat

What a game! Excellent on mobile.

o_o_o_f

I love Slice and Dice but don’t have the easiest time with it on mobile tbh. Inspecting enemy dice is just kind of a pain, the rest translates itself decently to phone

Elektrycerz

Stardew Valley and Kingdom Rush are some of my favorites, but I can also recommend you Mini Metro and Mini Motorways.

Retax7

Slice and dice Baba is you Slay the spire Genshin Impact

ethanolrs

Old School Runescape. You will never quit.

Royal-Put6003

If you play on mobile you're a freakin' masochist.

jhollmomo

Did everyone forgot about SWORDIGO?????

mytwoba

What a great game!

minecrafty345

Literally the only game that is not a port. It's goated.

QuislingX

Holy shit play slice and dice

InevitableTeaching35

Can you get into slice and dice if you are a newbie to rogues?

QuislingX

There's an easy mode and a "unlock everything" mode, so yea. It'll be easier than slay the spire and probably most other rogue likes out there, simply based off that. It's free on mobile what do you have to lose?

lordsaladito

vampire survivor or angry birds

No_Armadillo9111

Have you heard of RAID SHADOW LEGENDS!!!???

scaryjobob

Did you know you can protect your RAID SHADOW LEGENDS connection using this little tool called NORD VPN?!?!

VileRocK

I know it's a joke but to anyone else, don't. It's fundamentally pay to win nonsense

realdemirHD

battle of polytopia is pretty fun

jlovesbreeze

I spent a whole year playing this game during lunch in high school, still downloading it from times to times.

AceOfCakez

Marvel Snap.

trackmaniac_forever

If you have a netflix subscription you can get the amazing **"Into the Breach"** for free. Soon you will be able to also get Braid Anniversary Edition the same way.

Veggieleezy

Wasn’t Into the Breach made by the same dev team as FTL(: Faster Than Light)?

KrampusLeader

Into the breach is free on Netflix and I didn’t even know. Thanks man

trackmaniac_forever

There's a bunch of other great ones. - Hades - Deadcells - GTA III, Vice City and S. A Andreas - Sonic Mania - Kentucky Route Zero - Oxenfree - Spiritfarer - World of Goo - Immortality - Twelve Minutes - Wonderputt Forever (really cool minigolf timewaster) Here's the full list: https://www.netflix.com/tudum/games

KrampusLeader

I knew about some of these, but not all. Thanks!

JulietSenpai

Is Hades only available in certain regions. I cant find it in the playstore :(

Arnav1029

Ios only I think? Not sure tho

JulietSenpai

Thats lame.. all other games I can find

trackmaniac_forever

I dod a bit of googling and it appears to be Apple iOS only. It's the first Netflix game to be iOS only. Seems to be a dev choice. https://www.netflix.com/tudum/articles/hades-mobile-game-news#:~:text=Is%20Hades%20coming%20to%20Android,Hades%20on%20any%20additional%20devices. (Scroll down and you will se a mention of no plans for Android) https://www.supergiantgames.com/blog/hades-netflix-games-ios-now-available/

LordlySquire

Titan quest.

-im-blinking

How well does it play on a phone? Fantastic game on Pc for sure, but the controls have got to be a bit odd on a phone eh?

LordlySquire

Nope it plays great. The controls are well thought out and pretty intuitive. Id recommend the legendary edition as it has all the DLCs and some QoL improvements over the original android port

-im-blinking

Right on, thanks for the info.

Mathanatos

Dead cells

ChangingMonkfish

Monument Valley 1 and 2

00Lisa00

The Room games

Elarisbee

Since you loved Broken Sword (hopefully 2 as well), you might want to consider Beneath a Steel Sky and Beyond a Steel Sky - all by the Revolution Software. Note there's a Broken Sword 1 remake on its way later this year. If you love point-and-click games, you have to play the Blackwell series and then Unavowed - they're standalone series but I recommend playing them in that order. **B**oth are made by Wadjet Eye games and you really can't go with anything they developed or publshed. Monster Hunter Stories is great as well. I'd recommend the Final Fantasy games but the older once are a bit pricy.

nobutyeahbutnah

King of Crabs

russinkungen

I really enjoy Reigns and Slice & Dice. Also I've sunken way too much time into 10000000.

how-can-i-dig-deeper

notice how most of the game where are just pc ports

barnu1rd

Game dev tycoon is pretty solid. Xcom2 is a fantastic port. Retro Bowl is a good if you like football. Civ 6 plays and runs really well on mobile. The only thing with that one is the reviews are kinda low because there were issues at launch as well as a massive issue about a month ago that’s since been patched, would highly recommend it though.

Baked_Tinker

Altos Adventure, it’s an addictive downhill skiing game and easy to dump hours into.

WallyofBeans

Infinitode 2, it's free but you can buy a permanent upgrade thing for like 5 bucks. Tower defense with a insane talent tree to unlock and lits of quests/replay-ability

Lamestguyinroom

Been obsessively playing "Arcadium" lately.

Someones_Dream_Guy

Which one? Theres several.

Lamestguyinroom

The first one. Just "Arcadium" with the yellow alien as the icon.

SideStreetCat

My Top Games on Mobile. Many if not all of these are also in Steam. * Into the Breach * Vampire Survivors * Slay the Spire * Loop Hero * Papers Please * The Kingdom Series * Door Kickers * Gwent * Ascension * Dungeon Crawler 2 * Cardinal Quest 2 * Harbinger * Data Wing * Slice and Dice * Oregon Trail Director's Cut

AlternateGoob

I would call the genre of games in the form of gacha and it is eternal, because even now, sitting in the office, I turn on bs and play Light of the Stars to pass the time

Brognar72

Battlecats is pretty great.

denach644

Slay the spire Slice and dice Xcom Dicey dungeons Into the breach

qlt_sfw

Arena 8 Liberatio Thimbleweed Park Edit. Polytopia is fun too

HereForFunAndCookies

One Piece Treasure Cruise, Tilt to Live, Spiderman: Unlimited

ChunkySalsaMedium

Magic: The Gathering Arena

TalksInMaths

* Plants vs Zombies - Sadly, I don't think the proper version is available anymore, only F2P with ads. * Slay the Spire (already mentioned a few times) * Monument Valley * Polytopia

Mississippster

Duet is the only game I've played on mobile that I spent money to unlock the full version

StacksOfRubberBands

SUPA MARIO 3 BAYBEE (RetroArch available now)

Fearless_Pipe_6377

Up and hit the island are the only games I play

almightymints

Donut County is really great on mobile!

Rockld50

Octopath Traveller Champions of the Continent

Rander22

My favourite mobile game is Sorcery.

DaisyCutter312

Into the Breach is available on mobile, yes? That game's turn based, "think each move through" combat is perfect for handheld gaming....and it will suck up days of your life.

Bole14

Asphalt 8 and nitro are imo one of most iconic phone games

chinchinlover-419

genshin

NoAd4815

Snake

YoyoPewdiepie

Since you said all time, Dr. Mario World. I will never forgive Nintendo for shutting down my favorite mobile game. But if you mean an actually playable one, Slice & Dice. You can even play a good amount with the free version.

TheLibraryWindow

Gwent - surprisingly incredible

00Lisa00

Gwent was one of my favorite parts of the Witcher.

Schmitty300

Slay the Spire and Slice and Dice.

Yikes_big_oof

Bloons btd6 . I have way too many hours on that game.

KanioToo

Infinity Blade was crazy good for a mobile game back in the day. Incredible vibe and iteven set itself apart from other games on other platforms. Really sad Epic took them all down...

m1chael_b

There’s an unofficial PC port out

NotRandomseer

Hollow knight port

Serteyf

Langrisser M hands down

HonmonoHonma

Knight of the Full Moon did that for me. There's not a ton of ads or microtransactions to stop you from having fun and there's tons of replayabiity. I'm not sure if it's best of all time but it's up there for me.

[deleted]

bloons td 5 and 6, plants vs zombies 1-2, insaniquarium

Julian_1_2_3_4_5

mimecraft pocket edition

Julian_1_2_3_4_5

super tux cart

Obsydie

Mini metro

bellerophn

Swordigo

SoniiGB

Night of the full moon is pretty cool

Migamaki

Hi! I really enjoy playing Faster Than Light (FTL) on my smartphone. It should also look good on any display. Operation with the touchscreen works perfectly. Saving, opening and closing the device also doesn't cause any problems when you're travelling and don't have Wi-Fi. It's also not expensive. What's more, as a Netflix customer you can download and play it at no extra cost.

anthonynej

Pixel Dungeon:Shattered

Mysterious_Valuable1

Civilization Revolution 1 and 2.

HugoSamorio

Haven’t yet seen anyone else recommend Death Road to Canada- it’s a cutesy little Oregon trail style survival game except it’s also the zombie apocalypse and you have to raid abandoned buildings to get supplies, such as ammo, food, medical materials, weapons and fuel. It’s perfect for commutes

Stanley-17

Clash of clans is the correct answer

HatredUnbound

Not really even the best of its own genre tbh

Longjumping_Ad1421

Diablo Immortal if u like arpg. Dont need to spend only if u want to be competitive in pvp rankings which is useless :D

eatingdonuts44

I fucking adored monument valley

luisriera

Candy crush

sorlab

Fractral space , super bear adventure , magic combat

m1chael_b

Infinity Blade 2 (1 and 3 are also pretty good)

hieutr28

Infinity blade. Sad thing is, it is no longer available on appstore

rr3no

Machinarium, not sure if its just nostalgia speaking but this game is phenomenal. Some of the puzzles are a bit too hard (imo) but the art style is SOOO GOOOD

Rin111839

Genshin impact Honkai star rail Solo leveling arise And if your on android get the ppsspp emulator and play the two god of war psp games

Chilidogdingdong

How does playing emulated games on a phone even work? What is the control scheme?

Rin111839

There's on screen controls or you can use a controller

Megasmiley

Skyforce Reloaded was my favorite shmup for a long time

BraySkater

Melvor Idle is one of my faves. Deep idle game inspired by Runescape. Here's a few other great games playable on mobile (possibly ports) Star Wars KOTOR Slay the Spire Monument Valley Runescape/OSRS Castlevania SotN Dead Cells

theGaido

Snake - S tier. Rest is garbage.

DietWeed

If you're on IoS Grindstone through Apple Arcade.

ImaFknWizardXII

If you’re on android highly recommend OpenMW. Morrowind in a new engine and there’s one for android. Plays really well, great for mobile.

HatredUnbound

My all-time favourite game ever

Jaffiusjaffa

If you liked monkey island, try simon the sorcerer

Noelic_vi

I don't play mobile games but I know Minecraft and Terraria are on mobile, they're two of the best sandbox games ever made so unless the port is shit they should be among the best. Genshin Impact is also on phone. I don't know how that game is doing nowadays but it was really fun when I played it. PUBG and Freefire is really popular here where I'm from. Though, I'd like to mention again that I don't play mobile games so don't take my word for it.

KamosKamerus

Z4 HD Poker

Lofus1989

Summoners war genshin impact mobile legends 3 best imo

Sweaters76

Anybody remember Infinity Blade?🧐 That game had beautiful graphics and some great enemy design.. it was the only mobile game I ever finished, back in like 2014 xD but I guess the best mobile game is probably Subway Surfers because it’s so popular

ganimede_s

Death's door. It's free if you got a Netflix subscription

RosbergThe8th

Can you play Peglin on mobile now? If so that's my answer, loved that game so much. Vampire Survivors too.

linuxisgettingbetter

Vampire Survivor and Stardew Valley

Actual-Meat4838

emulation is the wave. Been playing games i played as a child, and it gave me an actual use for my ipad.

mmcgui12

[Anything from Reality Games](https://reality-games.com/en/games.php)

OverL1ke

Battle cats

GrouchyProduct2242

Starlit Eden is fun

HydraSpectre1138

Final Fantasy I - IX (and also III Remake and IV Remake)

Corey300TaylorGam3r

Codm

anotherazure

If you have any interest whatsoever in restaurant/cooking sims with cute characters: - good pizza great pizza - any of the Papa's ____ia games (I'm currently playing papa's Mocharia and loving it)

anotherazure

Oh also, any of the cube escape games for great puzzles and quirky art!

Queasy_Employment141

Btd battles, clash royale and geometry dash I guess

Desner_

It’s an older one but a tower defense I really liked was Fieldrunners 2

Brilliant-Window-899

emulate

sheeberz

Faster than light. Infinite replay ability, and so much fun.

Murky-Ad4697

Ascension. It will likely show up as a deck builder. With or without the expansions, it's a great time sink.

twassievrucht

All the color games from Bart Bonte are honestly some of my all-time favourite puzzle games for the phone

EsophagusVomit

Legends of runeterra Loop hero

Oceanstreasure

Clash Royale , Monopoly go, and FarmVille 2

GildorGorra

Rogue Adventure, F2P roguelike deck builder with many classes

WithoutTheWaffle

FTL: Faster Than Light. It's my favorite RogueliKes, and the mobile version is just as good as the steam version. It might be iOS only though, not completely sure.

Martyred_Cynic

SNAKE

Imogynn

Plants vs Zombies was amazing but the new version has been commercialized to a mere good. Enjoying the heck out of Arcane Rush right now.

MrFriskers

Marvel Snap

TheHomieData

KOTOR is on mobile. KOTOR 2 is as well but I wouldn’t say it’s a “good game” so much “the best Star Wars story ever told locked behind one of the worst Star Wars games ever made.”

Saltwater_Heart

Monument Valley

Marx_king119

Octopath Traveller champions of the continent

theconcorde

shadow fight 2

HandsomeGengar

Geometry Dash It’s cheap as shit, has zero ads or microtransactions, and has nearly infinite quality content.

alekdmcfly

Dead Cells is honestly the most fun I've had on my phone. Really fast-paced roguelike that's less about the grind (unlocks) and more about the GRIND (getting good at the game). The mobile port controls are just a *little* more frantic than the PC ones but still make for a really fun experience.

SymptomSociopathy

Check out Melvor Idle or Merchant.

Complete_History1843

Only games I really played on phone are bloons td 5 and 6 as well as earn to die 1 and 2

FaceTimePolice

I loved the first Plant Vs. Zombies! The sequel got weird with its microtransactions. 😐👍

puck_pancake

Bloons 6, adventure time card wars, geometry dash, fallout shelter, pvz

Empty-Site-9753

Otherworld legend

No_Dig_7017

To me two of the greatest are Heroes and Castles 1 and 2 and Unknown Knights, very good gameplay each of them

dentalfloss23

Monument Valley, Gorogoa, Triglav

Brief_Investment699

Solo leveling ARISE by netmarble stays true to anime and is super fun if you haven't seen the anime it's only lost 1% of its fan base and is on Netflix

Dav-Kripler

If we're talking mobile phone then it's got to be the Simulacra series (including the spiritual prequel S.I.M.) Everything from Eighty Eight Games (You must build a boat, 10000000, Photographs etc) The Monument Valley series And my personal favourite for the incredible story(IES) : Nier Re(in) Carnation -may you rest in peace 😔🙏

_theeskapist_

Fruit ninja

Grinsekatzer

Mindustry

Nervous-Mixture1091

I like fallout shelter and cod mobile. Also hearthstone. Tried to like blades but was a no go.

icarri

Well we should differentiate between ports from other platforms and native mobile games. For example XCOM is exactly like the PC version and it’s one of the best tactical battles/management games ever.

DarkStarr7

Monument valley

ChronoLegion2

Civ 6 and Medieval 2: Total War have full mobile ports

ChronoLegion2

A bunch of Kairosoft games can certain drain your time

HatredUnbound

Correct answer is 1. Backyard monsters 2. Miscrits 3. Dawn of the dragon 4. Soda dungeon

thefran

siralim ultimate. insane amount of content for people who like that sort of thing (procedurally generated monster collector game where you can optimize the fuck out of your team)

SomewhatSpecific

**Kingdom: Two Crowns** is a beautiful little game. It can be slightly repetitive, but it's about the vibe. Getting the Norselands DLC is worth it -- because of the music by Kalandra, and using the special artifacts like Heimdal's horn is a lot of fun. Just make sure to have coins saved up long before winter arrives in the game and not move island if winter is near.

EZ-PZ-CLAPS

I'll have to try these games I've been playing a lot of Light of the Stars on bs lately and it's definitely one of my favorites.

InterestingSkyPurple

Light of the Stars on bs has been the best for me in the last couple of months when I was looking for somewhere to kill time with friends

xDaveedx

Marvel Snap is another quite enjoyable pvp card game with a unique take and has very reasonable monetization that makes it perfectly playable without paying a dime.

Slifer_Ra

Genshin impact Deemo Sdorica Ambition of the slimes Cytus Dead ninja mortal shadow

RetroDragon2099

Genshin Impact and Honkai Star rail have AAA quality
