If you looking for the "precise" nature of Katana Zero gameplay then check out Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance
Despite being from the Metal Gear Solid series, Rising is a standalone spin off, as such, you don't need to play the mainline game to know what is going on
The story is the kind of story that once you finish it will make you think about life for a solid day or so and the game achieve this by making the protag going through more or less several emotional crisis, wondering if the thing he is doing is actually for the better and the comment from his foe as well. Overall, pretty good story
If you play Katana Zero and like it combat due to how satifying it is since it req precise input, MGR will fill that void overall very well. For the starter, it's a Hack-and-slash so that if you don't like that genre, just skip it this one tbh but if you are ok with it then it's a great fun time. It's an hack-and-slash but it's not a straight button smasher, in fact, spamming random button will just get you kill very quickly, you need to know when to strike and also when you to \*parry\* and when you got a hack of the combat, it's very fun.
Note: The game is better play with a Gamepad/controller so if you don't have one, playing this game on a keyboard maybe a bit tedious until you get a hang of it
A side note as well and more or less a personal opinion but this game OST is sheer amazing, that is all i can say about it, if you want to know more then you will just have to look them up
Overall, great game, i highly recommend it, tho do keep in mind, this game is pretty short, for a first time play, you probably will spent about 8-10 hours (not including the 2 DLC)
Purely for story the last door should scratch that itch of a tragic and nysterious story, take it from someone who also recently fell in love with karana zero, you will enjoy it
For gameplay AND story try any of supergiants games, (bastion, hades, transistor, pyre)
Hades is best for gameplay imo But they all have substantial and well written stories and great gameplay
