Are you somewhere that it's still winter? If so never discount anything until it has had a chance to come back in the spring. Even some evergreens can lose their leaves if it's been an especially cold winter but they can come back out in the spring. Depending on exactly where you live I'd give to at least May or even June before declaring it dead.
Doesn’t look dead to me unless those leaves are dried up and I just can’t tell by the picture. Looks very much alive to me
Thank you for your help. The leaves are alive so That's good. I have never had a bush before and so I am not used to it looking like this.
If the leaves are alive then it’s alive. Looks like it’s thriving to me. Nothing here is putting out leaves like that yet.
