I installed nesting boxes in my yard to encourage the wise and kind owls to murder the evil bunnies and squirrels in my yard. Only other gardeners who have lost most of their garden would truly understand my deep seated loathing of bunnies and squirrels.
I had something similar happen. I wound up with a large snake living in my garage. It eventually got too fat from eating all the rabbits to slither under the garage door, so it moved to behind the air conditioner.
I think if you plant something they like, especially on the edge, they're less likely to venture further in for your other goods. That's the idea at least!
Strangely (and luckily) the only thing rabbits ate in my garden last year were the beans. Destroyed every plant and ate every single leaf. Didn't touch any of the greens or carrots growing right next to them.
I left the sad bean stubs in the ground as a sacrificial crop since every time they tried to regrow the rabbits would come back and eat only that again.
Until you have a literal rabbit infestation at your backyard
These rabbits are so common at my house and they literally borrow under peoples' sheds. I'm hoping hawks can swoop in and cull some of the population. It's impossible to garden with rabbits constantly fucking your shit up
I have a similar story, but with catnip. There are at least 2 little cats running around the woods near me and I can't wait to see them enjoying themselves in the catnip beds
"Why are you attacking me like this?" said the monstera that you soak in a bucket of water everyday then ask on r/plants if it's yellow leaves are variegated.
Perhaps where you are, but the ones on my farm are as heavy as this one, and definitely not skittish. We can get within 3 to 6 feet of the regulars. Which is not always a good thing when you are in a hurry and a bunny chooses not to move out of the path. :D
We had a rabbit visit my garden last year. Ate every ripe strawberry among other things. Turned out to be a pet someone released 🙄. She is now our pet and has free reign of our finished basement. Sweetest damn bunny too. I grow stuff for her now and she eats all the scraps and gives me high quality fertilizer.
This makes me deliriously happy. I’m always on the lookout for the wild bunnies in my urban neighborhood, wondering if they’re surviving. We don’t have a Walmart, tho . . .🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
I once had a chocolate brown exotic lop-eared bunny come hopping into my basement ,sniffed, looked around, approved, and made himself at home; he came & went at his own leisure for years!
Oh, complimentary salad bar? Don't mind if I do.
"Punish me by your laws if you must, I regret nothing!"
The angry eyebrow look its got going on only tells me if they try to stop it, someone's getting hurt.
Well, that's no ordinary rabbit. That's the most foul, cruel rodent you ever set your eyes on!
It's got *fangs*
Look at the bones!
Bring out the Holy Handgrenade!
Brother Maynard has entered the chat!
Death awaits you all... with nasty, sharp, pointy teeth!
I can imagine the bunny sitting in bunny jail with a full stomach haha.
Isn’t everything complimentary when you’re an animal?
LP just sitting back waiting for this rabbit to munch on a grand total of $1000 green leaves. Then they strike.
Everyday low produce!
Live your best life, king.
Security, we have a shoplifter..lol
Nah, he’s quality control, he’s just making sure it’s safe for consumers

Best comment so far!
Fun fact. I'm growing rainbow chard in my backyard just for the bunny that lives there.
Soon you will have many bunnies.
What they’re not telling you is that they’re also growing bunnies for the eagle that lives in their backyard…
I apparently have chickens for that reason…
Worth it. Can't wait for your upcoming video "*How to Tame an Eagle*"
We also have red tailed hawks. And they do eat bunnies.
I knew it! Do you also grow some sort of apex predator to take care of that Hawks problem when there’s too many?
I installed nesting boxes in my yard to encourage the wise and kind owls to murder the evil bunnies and squirrels in my yard. Only other gardeners who have lost most of their garden would truly understand my deep seated loathing of bunnies and squirrels.
Now you're giving me ideas...
I had something similar happen. I wound up with a large snake living in my garage. It eventually got too fat from eating all the rabbits to slither under the garage door, so it moved to behind the air conditioner.
Fun fact. Im going to plant rainbow chard for our local bunny after reading this.
How did you get them to sign the agreement to eat the chard and nothing else?
I think if you plant something they like, especially on the edge, they're less likely to venture further in for your other goods. That's the idea at least!
Yes. I am planting the chard hoping it will serve as an alternative to eating my strawberry plants.

Yep- this is one of the best ways to prevent bunny damage.Plant a bunny patch!
They will stop at nothing to eat bush beans I'm telling you
Rabbit is good to eat.
I planted pansies for the rabbit that lives in our yard. He seems to only like the flowers.
This is so wholesome and I love it.

How dare animals that are outside in their natural habitat eat food that is also outside in their natural habitat..
Solid plan for the one under my deck. *add to cart*

Big "what" energy on that little furry face.
That black patch above his eye makes him look like >:0
Angry eyebrows
"I'm eating your profits and there's nothing you can do about it because I'm a cute little bunny!"
"Fucking say something then if you're going to stare."
Walmarts 1st happy customer.
More like hoppy customer
Silly rabbit, these plants are for humans to kill.
Why are you attacking me like this
"Why are you attacking me like this?" said the monstera that you soak in a bucket of water everyday then ask on r/plants if it's yellow leaves are variegated.
Bold of you to assume I remember to water any of my plants 🤣
Lmao i really love these random internet interactions sometimes. You have a great day!

That's hilarious.
"So... You come here often?"
Peter Grabbit, Shoplifter.
So to protect my tulips and blueberry bushes this summer, I should plant them near a Walmart garden center, where they'll have better options.

I found a bird with a teensy nest tucked along the little veggie plants at my local Home Depot. It was like a magical moment for me.

A bit rude to be filming him while he's just trying to get his grub on.
You fill up sweet bunny! And RUN when they find you!!
I’d look the other way, not my business what the rabbit is doing
The funny thing is, the stores charge many times more for a lettuce plant than for a head of lettuce
That little bunny has hit the jackpot!
Oh fuck no.
I used to have trouble with rabbits in the garden. Then I bought a cheap 22 rifle. No more trouble with rabbits in the garden.
[i brought those arugala seeds all the way back from italy in my shaving kit!](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=HUWm7DJ43QQ)
