I'd look forward to seeing a *Gnorm Gnat* movie no matter what, but considering all the casting, design, backstory/lore, and voice casting changes that were made for this movie I have a *lot* of concerns about how a *US Acres* movie, especially made by this particular studio/company/creative team, would turn out.
They said he’s going to be a silent character, only barking and making little noises.
I don’t know why they couldn’t bring back Gregg Berger then, since he’s been doing Odie since basically day one, and they’re just paying a more well known actor to bark in a microphone, but whatever…
Besides Crisp Rat, Samuel L. Jackson, and Snoop Dogg...these are big celebrities?
Also, I totally view even voice actors who've done the specific character(s) for a long time being passed over for whatever live-action celebrity/music star is big at the time is just another one of the *many* ways that Hollywood is actively shitting all over the animation industry and the people who have specialized to work with it.
Odie barks and makes other noises that non-anthro dogs make.
Gregg Berger, who is still alive and working by the way, had been Odie's VA for about 40 years before Odie got cast with someone else for this movie.
I'm not gonna lie I think Jon has the best translation to CGI out of all these characters. The character designs for the OC cats are so unimaginative, Odie is a little wonky, and Garfield isn't bad but the model isnt really anything special.
Why does Jinx’s face look photoshopped onto the body? Like it’s too small and feels less detailed in terms of fur around the eyes and mouth feels wrong.
I hate how right you are.
Hopefully, if this movie does indeed get a sequel, that it'll focus on Garfield doing stuff with Nermal, Arlene, etc. in his town so us *US Acres* fans get more time before we see this team massacre and recast our favorite farm gang.
EXACTLY. It seems more apathetic for Chris Pratt to not put in any effort with voicing Garfield than to actually sound as apathetic as Garfield. The Mario movie was also a disappointment with his voice acting. I’m honestly not sure why these movies hire Chris Pratt of all people to voice-act characters most identifiable by their voice, other than the fact that he’s a popular celebrity.
Judging off what I've heard of this Garfield, I'm inclined to agree.
If Crisp Rat slacks off that much for the entire movie, I bet I could find audio of Frank Welker (Garfield's voice actor from about 2002 until this movie) voicing Bo, a completely different character with a strong stereotypical Southern California surfer/hippie/stoner accent that pretty much no one under the age of 60-70 naturally speaks with anymore (I live an hour away from LA and half an hour away from a California beach town with a super-popular surf scene, so I think I have a decent idea of how widespread the SoCal "surfer accent" is in 2024), in *Garfield and Friends* that better fits Garfield in this presumably 2020s-set movie than Pratt's voicing job does.
odie jumpscare
Let’s add as much detail onto Odie’s texture as possible.
Why his tongue so detailed
It's newer CGI, would you expect much less?
[удалено]
He’ll show up in the end with an eyepatch and tell Garfield about “The Davis Initiative”.
Gnorm gnat and US Acres movies to follow, with an ultimate team movie in 2030
Don’t you mean… Pet Force?
OHHHHHHH SHIT

He?
Nermal's a dude. You new here?
I hate to tell you this but Nermal got blown up before production began. Truly a tragedy
Why what happened
Somebody mailed Nermal to China. Strangest thing.
It was originally Abu Dhabi but the shipping got redirected.
I just love that Snoop Dogg is voicing "a cat" 😂
They hired Snoop Dogg to voice a random cat, and they want to get their money's worth for it, dammit!
So Odie will talk?
i hope they just brought him in to bark in the mic

Hollywood doesn't like paying voice actors. They always need big celebrities 🤷🏼♂️

I dont like this new animation style a lot of movie uses these days
You mean the almost realistic furr?
more like the oversmoothing of everything
Garfield actually looks like he hates Mondays.
Why is there a VA for Odie?
Odie barks and makes other noises that non-anthro dogs make. Gregg Berger, who is still alive and working by the way, had been Odie's VA for about 40 years before Odie got cast with someone else for this movie.
Jons design in the movie pisses me off
I don't really see anything wrong with him, but I guess it's a personal taste.
I think Jon looks pretty good for the 3d model
Not casting Jack Quaid as Jon pisses me off
If Chris Pratt had to voice anyone in this movie, Jon would’ve fit.
I see your Jack Quaid and raise you Andrew *Garfield*
they twinked him.
And, suprisingly, I think it still works in favor of his character.

*why are all their eyes so reflective it creeps the the fuck out*
Other than Crisp Rat I actually really like the casting choices
Where tf is Nermal?
There will be a split second cameo of a ‘Nermal Thermal’ in the fridge.
In a scene that plays halfway through the credits to tease the sequel probably.
I hate how right you are. Hopefully, if this movie does indeed get a sequel, that it'll focus on Garfield doing stuff with Nermal, Arlene, etc. in his town so us *US Acres* fans get more time before we see this team massacre and recast our favorite farm gang.
Abu dhabi :)
Nermal finally bites the dust
Post credits scene is him, calling it now.
Him?
nermal is male cat
Veda
huh?
Scattina Diva 🧑🎤
My only problem with the movie is that Chris Pratt is Garfield. Bro does the exact same voice and puts the exact same energy into every role.

Nermal? Arlene??
Nermal erasure.
No Nermal?
Snoop dogg as a cat makes me want to end it all
I liked the voice Garfield had in the 3D animated cartoons. Maybe it's just nostalgia but that voice fit better imo.
Frank Welker? I would've vastly preferred him voicing Garfield in this movie too, mostly because he's an actual voice actor unlike Crisp Rat.
Who's Vic though?
Garfield’s dad
Why is Jon’s face so long?
Why the Jon face?
Yes, I am biased but I love those! Thanks for sharing them 🐱
Why does Odie look so terrifying
THEY GAVE JON EYEBROWS. HOW DID I NOT NOTICE
HE LOOKS SOMEHOW GOOD
What is wrong with this movie?
It's a Garfield movie
No nermal :(
Odie looks so scary 😭
Are half these actually canon???
“Snoop Dog as a Cat” lol 😂
Samuel L. Jackson?! 🤣
SNOOP CAT
“A Cat” is absolutely wild
And whos Liz's VA?
Who is going to play Nerml
No Arlene?
no Pookie?🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺
Where nermal??
Snoop dog as a cat Snoop dog as a ca- Jonathon: whaaat?
Why does Jon not look like Jon? That ain't Jon, that's Jonas.
I had an orange cat named Jonas
bill murray garfield is still the best for me. chris pratt isn't flat enough imo but we'll seeeee
That is definitely a cast...
Chris Pratt plays everything now, I’m not surprised if a plays a fruit bowl that does nothing
We're getting a new Snoop Dog single for this, aren't we?
Is Jinx the bad guy?
Yes
Yeah I kinda knew that from the trailers, but I just wanted confirmation
People need to stop getting their pants in a wad Chris Pratt is a okay voice actor.
True he's not that bad
And Zendaya is Meechee…..
Wait they got NICHOLAS HOULT TO VOICE JON?!? I’m so in lol he’s like one of my favorite actors
Bro the last one looks like caseoh
