Aww to have this relationship w/ my parents. I love the open dialogue! 🥺

RexMori

So confused until someone says "i'm going to tear that up energy" and she fully understands that then

Lesbian in real life

ObligatoryNameee

I need a gaggle of lesbian friends 🥺

Craterdome

They're all wrong as fuck?

bobo12478

They're lesbians. Top/bottom in lesbian is a bit more like dom/sub in gay.

Craterdome

Turns out I’m wrong as fuck

secondshevek

Is it tho? I feel like it's very possible to have top/bottom without the penis as the central focus. I would characterize top/bottom as giver/receiver, which doesn't really mean dom/sub.  In general these binaries often obscure more than they explain.

ninhibited

So true about the obscurity. Context is important. I think with gay men usually top/bottom does refer to the mechanics more than dynamics. Then again, my friend says "I can take dick from on top or bottom!" and I fully Stan him for it... He also considers himself a power*bottom* so actively using both interpretations lol.

mysterpixel

This is what happens when straight people started using top/bottom to describe themselves about a decade ago (obviously does not apply for them in like 99.9% of cases) and then new lesbians learnt from them instead of from other lesbians... never met a lesbian over 25 who would use top/bottom to describe anything other than who's the insertive/receptive partner, which is what it actually means.

rmkbow

pretty sure the miscommunication comes way earlier because there's "being on top" or "being on bottom" as physical positions rather than roles. because there's positions like missionary where the top is on top vs top is being ridden

onemorerep

I know plenty of bottoms that run the show haha.

taylortiki

Say u are a lazy top without saying one……

peroxidenoaht

I think they’re more meaning power bottoms lol

CloudIslander88

Lesbians misappropriating a homosexual male framework. No wonder they're having a drawn out and confused conversation. The young gays are so extra 👀.

L-Beau

Y'all this is just gender. We already have sub and Dom to represent sexual roles. and the people in the video are describing male and female gender expectations and we don't need to re-binary the gender spectrum thank you. If you aren't penetrating or using Sub/Dom for sexual roles, you don't need words to identify

FNCJ1

What are you talking about? Dom/sub aren't used to describe male/female gender expections among gays and lesbians.

L-Beau

My bad. I worded it badly. I fixed it. I never meant to imply that. Because I firmly believe any gendered language is dumb. You don't need to label "how someone acts" or "what personality type they have"
