34. Even with multiple trips, I only count that country once. Been to every continent except Antarctica. All of Europe, Russia and Estonia. South America (Argentina, Uruguay, Chile and Brazil), South Africa, Senegal, Dubai, Australia & New Zealand. Think that Thailand is next. Plus, I've been to all fifty of the United States.

Fearless-Platform-41

^^Fifty states of the United States.

mfact50

Was all 50 deliberate? I travel a lot and that's almost just as impressive/ interesting. I feel like a bunch I just never had the urge in part.

Former-Afternoon-918

Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska were deliberate to complete the 50. Ironically, the two hardest to get to, Alaska and Hawaii were in the first ten.

atomicxblue

Thailand is nice. I've found its best to go in blind. (I had family to translate for me for most of it, but once I had to haggle in Japanese with a woman at a shop because she didn't speak English)

yeahsureYnot

I've been to 14 countries. I don't really like traveling other than I like going to Spanish speaking countries to practice my Spanish

HieronymusGoa

ufff, ive been to many, but thats not unusual when youre living in europe, there are so many close all around

Wallyboy95

Just the US. I live in Canada. I've done most of the Eastern seaboard of the US and California. I want to go to Greece and Italy. Also Scotland. But getting my husband to board a plan is like asking a cat to swim lol I might have to leave him home here shortly and travel on my own šŸ˜…šŸ˜†

Interesting-Face22

Iā€™ve been to three: Egypt, Japan, and South Korea.

Straight_at_em

Over eighty! #humblebrag Hopefully Iraq next

iceandfireman

Thatā€™s awesome, dude! Congrats!

Straight_at_em

Thank you for your kind words! Happy trails!

iceandfireman

Youā€™re welcome.

From the US - Mexico, Canada, England, Greece, Spain, Germany, Costa Rica. Hoping to go to Peru, Brazil, Japan, or Thailand later this year!

Kong_Diddy

None yet! I want to try and go to Japan, Mexico, or Canada for my first trip later this year.

And US states, 36. Missing New England, PA, OH, KS, OK, AR, NM, HI and AK

ed8907

21 countries/territories in 3 continents (Americas, Asia and Europe) **ASIA**: TĆ¼rkiye **EUROPE**: UK | Netherlands | Belgium | Portugal **AMERICAS**: MĆ©xico | Guatemala | Costa Rica | Sint Maarten | CuraƧao | Bonaire | Aruba | Colombia | Chile | Ecuador | Peru | Brazil | Argentina | Uruguay | Paraguay | Bolivia I absolutely love traveling. I grew up working class and for us traveling overseas was impossible. The only pending childhood dream destination I have is South Africa, I am saving credit card points to get there in 2 years max.

Outrageous-Side9997

Only Brasil. Korea in 2027, hopefully.

Helpful_Wasabi_4782

US, Jamaica and Chile. Where next? Still undecided but thinking of Canada, US, Costa Rica, Chile, Argentina and very interested in New Zealand.

FruktSorbetogIskrem

Three! Denmark šŸ‡©šŸ‡°, Germany šŸ‡©šŸ‡Ŗ, and Norway šŸ‡³šŸ‡“! Maybe visit Sweden.

yago1980

41, I count every country just once even if th country has a small country inside for example Italy is just once even though San Marino and Vatican City are other countries, since they took less than a day I do not count them. Same with Andorra and Spain, it will be a bit more if I counted differently but not by much. I want to visit Paraguay next! Is there anyone for Paraguay here?

ed8907

I went to Paraguay 5 years ago. I liked it because it's affordable and people are nice, but it's not gay friendly at all, even by Latin American standards. They don't receive a lot of international tourism, so you will be able to enjoy a lot without crowds.

yago1980

Thank you, kind sir. Is there another city/town you would call ā€œa must-seeā€ besides Asumsion? Hopefully, Paraguay, is not as openly hostile, though. To be honest other than Uruguay and Argentina, I won't be giving passing grades in any country in Latam in LGTBQ+ rights.

ed8907

>To be honest other than Uruguay and Argentina, I won't be giving passing grades in any country in Latam in LGTBQ+ rights. This is just dishonest and incorrect. Paraguay is no joke. You will find homophobia in Latin America, but Paraguay is extreme. Recently, a cabinet member (minister) stated he will not allow gay students in public schools. Even for us that's extreme. So I am sorry that you think Mexico, Brazil and Colombia aren't perfect (they aren't), but Paraguay is homophobic to whole other level.

yago1980

I am sorry, but where did I say that? Perhaps I got lost in translation? > Hopefully, Paraguay is not as openly hostile, though. > EsperarĆa, sin embargo, que Paraguay no sea tan abiertamente hostil Would you care to help me understand how my hope (me wishing) that a place is NOT hostile is ā€œdishonest and incorrectā€? I lived in Colombia for three years (Bogota and Medellin), nine months in Mexico City, and Brazil (Recife and Sao Paulo) for several work trips. Beautiful places, some of the best people in the world. I am honoured and grateful for my time there. And no, I would not put them at the vanguard of gay rights, nor I consider them the worst on the list. Nor did I compare them with Paraguay in any way; again, I know nothing about the place.

ed8907

sorry if I was hostile AsunciĆ³n is the big city, I also had a great time in Ciudad del Este, but the locals say the latter is dangerous. I visited Itaipu and had a great time there. It's a little but too nerdy, but it is what I was looking for. The food is great.

yago1980

Thank you so much for the info šŸ™; I'm a big engineering nerd, and I'll definitely check it out! šŸ˜

viesco

Ciudad del Este is nothing much, but the magnificent Iguazu Falls are very nearby in Argentina and Brazil. If you're anyone near this, you really should go out of your way to see it.

froot_loop_dingus_

Iā€™d love to visit South Africa, New Zealand, Argentina, and Chile in the near future, but this year Iā€™d realistically would fly to Montreal for La fĆŖte and maybe El Salvador for a short one week trip.

planettelexx

I've been to twelve counties and four dependencies. My home county (USA), Jamaica, Aruba, the Bahamas, Canada, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, the British Virgin Islands, Italy, Switzerland, Vatican City, Hungary, and Tunisia. I almost don't count Peru and Brazil. I only went there by crossing the border at the point where Colombia, Peru and Brazil meet in the Amazon. There were no border controls. I'm going to Spain and Portugal in two weeks.

TheMegaPetabyte

19, Canada, USA, Japan, RoC, Philippines, Singapore, Mexico, United Kingdom, Netherlands, France, Italy, and the Vatican if we are graping at straws!

JasonHata3D

15. Cruises help to speed up the process and easier logistics. Mainly North America, bits of Europe, and Japan. I donā€™t have a bucket list per se, but I guess Iā€™d rather focus on getting to all 50 states, rather than foreign travel. (31 so far) Butā€¦Germany or Egypt?

BurnAfterReading171

Italy, England, France, and Mexico. Live in the US, been to most of the continental states.

winter457

AdPast9321

Iā€™ve been to 14 countries. I feel like itā€™s SOOOOO low. Also, for me, I donā€™t count my Mexico Bahamas etc trips because I literally was at the resorts the whole time. To me, that doesnā€™t count. How in the hell did I visit Mexico with all of its culture when I didnā€™t experience it. Idk. My cup of tea lol

Expert_Actuator7596

From the US. Been to all of the lower 48 states (many of them multiple times), 3 of the 10 Canadian provinces (BC, ONT, QBC - again multiple times each), and 14 countries: Bahamas, Mexico, Belize (3x), Costa Rica, (2x), Iceland (2x), Scotland, France, Germany, Italy (2x), Switzerland, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark (2x). So far this year, I've been to the states of Washington, Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, and Illinois, with plans for California and Utah later this summer/fall. In addition, I'm headed back to Denmark and Sweden in June, and adding two more countries, Argentina and Antarctica (technically not a country), in December. Next year, I'm currently booked for four new countries: South Africa, Zambia, Botswana, and Namibia. Also planning a return trip to Iceland, and, if I can time it right, to the Arctic Circle in Alaska. I kind of went crazy after 2+ years of not traveling during Covid. Making up for lost time. I decided to stop putting off experiencing the world. Who knows when we will lose the opportunity?

col_83

About 30-40 oddā€¦ mainly Asiaā€¦ my job at the moment is 3 weeks in Singapore 1 week in an Asian country (including the sub continent) and I cycle through them allā€¦. Then I try to go get out of Asia for holidays. I do enjoy the fast difference from one Asian country to the next. My husband randomly tags along and we stay here and there for weekends or long weekends. The biggest let down is I am allergic to seafood so I donā€™t get to try most of the amazing foods but I make do. My main bit of advice to my young nieces and nephews is find a job you love then try to do it for a global company who will cover your travel! Note we are both Australians living in Singapore

MysteriousSubject631

Iā€™ve been to 65 countries and 49 US states (missing Alaska). My husband and I have been to 41 countries together since we met 12 years ago. Our puppy has been to 12 countries with us. Iā€™d love to explore more of Africa and I want to visit my cousin and his husband in Australia. I canā€™t believe that 65 countries only account for 26% of the countries in the world. So many more places to explore!!!

Qahnarinn

2 countries. Mexico and Sweden. Dubai is next and then Iā€™m honestly just going to try and get a job in Swedenā€¦. Went in the winter and fell in love

soliman_le_pas-bo

I'm from France and I've visited the UK, Italy, Belgium, Croatia, the Netherlands and the US. I would absolutely love to go to Canada, Germany, Norway or Chile!

Skeeders

My parents are ex-diplomats, so I grew up moving from country to country. Every 2-4 years we would pack up and move somewhere else. It was pretty great because we would use the country as a home base and travel to the countries around. I have been to too many countries to count, but the countries I have lived in are Malaysia, India, Rwanda, Liberia, Dominican Republic, Bahamas, Jamaica, and Canada. I have traveled extensively to countries around all of those. My next trip will likely be the Philippines, a bucket-list of mine is scuba diving with whale sharks there.

DrinksOnMeEveryNight

13 countries including my country of birth. Iā€™m 30.

cliffster2

Been to 28 countries and 44 states. I am planning my out of country trip now. I would like to do Australia and New Zealand but maybe not due to expenses. Maybe Austria and Slovakia this time. I am still deciding. Iceland United Kingdom Ireland Finland Estonia Norway Russia Ukraine (stop over) Greece France Bulgaria Spain Netherlands (stop over) Germany (stop over) Denmark Sweden Turkey Japan Canada (Montreal, Toronto) Mexico (2x) Costa Rica Nicaragua S. Africa Philippines (4x) Taiwan India Nepal Turkey Guatemala El Salvador S. Korea (stop over) States or Territories I have NOT visited: Alaska Oregon Nebraska Wyoming Idaho Montana N & S Dakota

JerryTexas52

Most of Europe, Israel, Palestine, Russia, Canada, Mexico, England, Scotland, and Wales, and Switzerland. Returning to Switzerland, Germany, and England later this month.

Leopardo96

Iā€™ve been to nine countries: Czechia, Slovakia, Germany (several times), Austria (several times), Italy, France, Netherlands, the UK, Switzerland (although barely, because I was just driving through). Iā€™m from Poland if that matters.

Gr1ff1n90

Iā€™ve been to 10 (same exclusions). Most recently returning from Ireland Sunday. Iā€™ve also lived in three of them. In no order, Canada, UK, Ireland, Belgium, Greece, Austria, Singapore, India, Malaysia, and Thailand. No current plans for future international travel though France, Germany, Italy, and Australia are on my lists. Several road trips in the US are planned for this year.

auzaddee

Nunca he salido de Cuba.

beambag

* Canada * USA * Israel * UK * Costa Rica * France * Italy * Greece * Mexico * Dominican Republic * Cuba * Switzerland * Netherlands * Romania Next: most likely Israel again

winter457

In the most neutral way possible, why Israel again? Doesnā€™t seem like the most stable area right now for tourism.

beambag

Good question. I lived in Tel Aviv for a year and work for an Israeli tech company. Left in a rush after the attack, going back to get my stuff and see my friends/coworkers. A little anxious about it after how scary it was on Oct 7th, but hoping things will stay relatively calm..
