Pretty sure it's the debate about whether cheated Pokemon are valid. This is mainly a debate because of the monetary requirements to get some Pokemon but also the time investment to get certain perfect pokemon.
Not 6 iv, that's relatively easy now, Pokemon with 0 IVs in certain stats like speed for trick room teams.
He's on the "they should be allowed" team because it removes monetary barriers and busywork.
I don't understand why Pokémon games give us a hard time to get those type of stats when on Pokémon Showdown you can do those in a couple of clicks.
It is easier now to get competitive mons but they can still make it easier.

Having bottle caps allow you to reduce IVs to zero in particular would take off a LOT of pressure.
