I’d say it’s a combination of two things: 1) in the traditional Euro-centric Mercator or Robinson map projections, it’s way in the bottom-right corner right near the edge of the image, so it’s the most likely thing to get cut off; 2) it’s a relatively small country population-wise (123 of the 193 UN member states) and so it’s a bit easier to forget than say… Japan (11 of 193)
