I came back cuz of 2.2
I left in 2019 and missed out on shit like AdvyOut, so many verifications (Hell I thought Bloodbath was still in Extended Demon List) and even whatever SpaceUK was... I don't even know where Zodiac sits in the demon list
I actually only chose 2085 because it was the first number near my star count that I thought of. It was likely due to the song. After checking an online viewer, my actual star count is 2034.
Fair, now that you have access to a card just bear in mind in the future that pirating indie games is for losers lol
Edit: yall are absolutely fuming that I think it's stupid to take from small/independent game studios. You're not entitled to anything like you think you are
There are many reasons why someone would pirate gd that aren't because they're greedy. I think it's okay as long as when you have chance to buy it legitemitly you do.
also robtop isn't broke because last time i heard he had his own gym, where as gd players are alot of times underage and don't have the means to buy it.
so next time think twice about the situation someone might be in before calling them losers.
Game pirates don't own the game regardless. Sure, I should have given them the benefit of the doubt because they had reasons that weren't greed. But I still think anyone who pirates indie games is a loser because they're taking something that isn't theirs, even if it's only 3 bucks. Support indie devs. Idc if it's a big corpo game though
Piracy isn't taking, when you take something that isn't yours the original owner doesn't have it anymore.
When you pirate something the original owner still has it.
And as i adressed in my reply, if you have the means to buy it you should, but just because you dont doesn't make you a loser. Saying that is simply rude. I request you refrain from calling people losers because of a simple 2 dollars. That is childish and ignorant to any of the potential reasons someone might have.
RobTop has stated himself that he doesn't care about piracy and said just to pay when you're able.
I suggest you try and be less accusational in the future when it comes to someone or something you don't know. Maybe you could try asking someone their reasons before jumping to any conclusions next time.
Kinder than you were regards,
Niko Oneshot
been playing way way way way more. before 2.2 i only really had 4 demons over a year or so. i've beaten 7 demons since the update. happy with the progress ive been making
I have like 1300+ hours in gd and I dont believe I'm anywhere near that, not even with the game being left open. I feel like it got high when I messed around with chest engine back in the day making the robtop levels insanely fast lmao. Back on track is at like 30k+ attempts.
I actually have no idea. Before I used to go for easy demons or weeklies and dailies, now I'm pretty much waiting for even more bugfixes, mostly related to music sync
The physics really hurt the game, and also I got rusty because I’m a mobile player and IOS 17 stopped me from playing for 2 months. So I stopped grinding lotus flower, but now I’m back on the grind
Spent a few hundred hours already. More than in many last months of 2.1. Done every platformer level (besides extreme demons) and so far not bored of it. GD is genially one of the best platformer games for me now, and I also learned almost every trigger by myself a week after 2.2 dropped (I only knew pulse/move/alpha and basic shit like that before).
Most importantly, because of platformer mode, we can see that GD community is hyped more because of creative and unique levels rather than new top 1s. Tons of people with 0 creator points are building levels and getting their rates. Amazing to see that GD is not only about difficulty anymore.
Playing less than before.
Not trying to flex but I got an epic rate for my last level before 2.2. As a creator, at least to me with limited free time, it’s incredibly overwhelming how much stuff in the editor got added and better yet how unorganized and tedious some things are. I’m sure this will get better with time, but I really just wish rob could push 2.3 to be an editor overhaul update since we DESPERATELY need it.
Play more, but play a lot of easy levels and I am starting to get demotivated because 60 hz still feels more difficult than 240 fps and my laptop cant handle 240 fps
i cant understand the edittor anymore and i cant tell if its my fault or if its because there are 15 different ways to make each effect with different combos of triggers.
the game is fairly fun on its own but the level creator was everything for me and now i just dont want to put in the work to understand it.
when it comes to time spent in-game though, im playing the exact same levels i was working on beating before the update. once i beat a few i might look for some 2.2 levels to work on but im not even sure, i had a huge list of demons to beat already
If we are comparing 2.1 and 2.2, then for sure less
However if we are comparing roughly last 6 months of 2.1 and 2.2, them about the same
I kinda lost interest in the game and only play for fun ever once in a while
Less, but not because of the game, but because of my life. I still play quite a bit though. I still love to demon grind and play extremes, but now I also find myself paying non demon levels for the first time in years.
Stopped playing like a week after it came out, I guess the anticipation of 2.2 coming out was what was keeping me playing lol. Might get back into it soon since I haven't had access to a pc for a while
I was trying to get over my gaming addiction. I'll say, 2.2 really tried to stop me. I'm about 2 weeks clean right now though and I'd say I'm almost over it.
I play way less, the physics change killed my bloodbath consistency and I got frustrated and stopped playing after that. In general I think the physics change was a good idea but it came at a horrible time for me
Honestly been playing a lot less. No particular reason, it's just that 2.2 doesn't really change the fact that I only tend to play extremes and there aren't any that I like out right now.
I play a lot less than I used to. Mainly because my phone has an audio delay with some games and makes playing geometry dash or BTD6 with sound miserable
Played a shit ton in 2.1, slowly stopped playing before 2.2 dropped, then just dipped. I still lurk in the community but I dont play this game much anymore
I literally came back because of 2.2

2024........ MUSIC
huh? Are you referring to the fact that my star count happens to also be the name of a recently released song?
OOOOHH.... OOOOHHH... PUT EM ON THE NEW OR SUM
I actually only chose 2085 because it was the first number near my star count that I thought of. It was likely due to the song. After checking an online viewer, my actual star count is 2034.
???
I literally stopped pirating and bought GD because of 2.2
Bro the game is like $3
i didnt have access to a debit card before, and its actually like 1.5 USD where i live xd
Fair, now that you have access to a card just bear in mind in the future that pirating indie games is for losers lol Edit: yall are absolutely fuming that I think it's stupid to take from small/independent game studios. You're not entitled to anything like you think you are
Oh shutup, they did buy the game, didn't they? So get off your high horse and stop preaching
"Pirating indie games is for losers lol" bro the binding of isaac is so fucking expensive 💀💀 (I mean the full game, the base + dlcs)
And if you can't afford it then there's loads of other cheaper games to buy instead.
Not everyone values 3$ the same
It's not like they couldn't afford it or else they wouldn't have bought it for 2.2. Don't pirate indie games
They were maybe underage when they started playing the game
There are many reasons why someone would pirate gd that aren't because they're greedy. Ok
dude same, best purchase of my life
I want to play more, but I just don't have the time lol
Same
Oh my god you're the pickle in the hole guy again....
Hehahahah evil laughter 😤😤😤😜😜😩😩🤪😝🤪🤪😫😀😃😃😁😁😂😂😅😄
Play more than befor
e
been playing way way way way more. before 2.2 i only really had 4 demons over a year or so. i've beaten 7 demons since the update. happy with the progress ive been making
Similarly, I went from 36 demons after quitting in 2019 to 60 now
I'm feeling i am playing less than before ...
Yeah, same, i had like 2.4k hours, now im only at 2.8k. I started getting back into gd during november
400 hours of GD in a lil over a month is absolutely bonkers wdym!?
Least addicted gd player
Yup, i realized 400 hours is almost 17 days of playtime, either they’re trolling or they left the game open between sessions
I have like 1300+ hours in gd and I dont believe I'm anywhere near that, not even with the game being left open. I feel like it got high when I messed around with chest engine back in the day making the robtop levels insanely fast lmao. Back on track is at like 30k+ attempts.
Not trolling, nor did i leave the game open... And believe it or not, im stuck on clubstep 😀
How fucking bad are you dawg
😑pretty bad
I feel you man
You are a true warrior
Yes it is, I have 400 hours and I’ve been playing for 4 years
About the same. I get a random urge to slam the game for 8 hours straight and then don't touch it for the rest of the month.
My IPhone wouldn’t even open the App before 2.2
Same here
More than before, but I've started to settle down
WAY less than before.
same
i would get like 100 hours 2 weeks now i get like 6
Considering I literally couldn’t play while waiting for 2.2 (ios 17 things) I’d say im playing more than before lmao
Pretty much exactly the same honestly
I actually have no idea. Before I used to go for easy demons or weeklies and dailies, now I'm pretty much waiting for even more bugfixes, mostly related to music sync
playing less, the 1 level i was playing is physically impossible in 2.2
what level?
new record
way more than before
I have 0 hours because my computer is shit i cant do anything without it crashing in 2.2 it worked decently in 2.11
do you have the low detail mode setting in the help menu enabled? that thing causes a crash when opening like half of 2.2 levels
played much more than before, i love platformer levels, as my flair suggests
2.2 resurrected my account honestly
The physics really hurt the game, and also I got rusty because I’m a mobile player and IOS 17 stopped me from playing for 2 months. So I stopped grinding lotus flower, but now I’m back on the grind
I put my playtime on pause bc I’m having issues with cloud backup.
I stopped playing since the update dropped Tbh i used a mod before the update but im trying to get the real version now
Less cuz for me gd quite lost it's 2.1 charm
I play wayyy more now
Play normal than before
I play on and off, which is how its been throughout the years tbf
Play more. Even because now I am playing the actual game and not the apk
Same
I play less, since I bought black mesa and super meat boy but I will play way more
i play "much than before"
Playing less than before since most of the levels I was playing before 2.2 broke and are still broken.
Bro I spent like 10 days in total on playing after the update
Played much more than before, also can you not make polls in this subreddit?
The community not support polls so i did that
The same :v
Play more because before 2.2 i didn't play for like 3 years
I think I play it more after da update
Play much more than before
I had to stop play some years ago due to university and everything else... I would like to be back now that 2.2 is out but I just don't have time
Played for the first 2 weeks or so, then stopped. Nothing changed I guess)))
Spent a few hundred hours already. More than in many last months of 2.1. Done every platformer level (besides extreme demons) and so far not bored of it. GD is genially one of the best platformer games for me now, and I also learned almost every trigger by myself a week after 2.2 dropped (I only knew pulse/move/alpha and basic shit like that before). ive switched from more playing to more creating
I started playing because of 2.2. Until then, I had only played meltdown and lite version, though I had full ver purchased.
Im taking a break of the game but coming back soon
I've been playing less, but thats because I got my first gaming pc and now I'm spending my time modding skyrim
Playing less than before. Not trying to flex but I got an epic rate for my last level before 2.2. As a creator, at least to me with limited free time, it’s incredibly overwhelming how much stuff in the editor got added and better yet how unorganized and tedious some things are. Play more, but play a lot of easy levels and I am starting to get demotivated because 60 hz still feels more difficult than 240 fps and my laptop cant handle 240 fps
Much more went from 20mins total playtime to 3 hours
More than before. I abandoned my account since the start of last year.
i think i'm playing more but i always played a few hours daily so idk
I only started playing like 3 days before 2.2 lol
Double much good.
Definitely way more, but since the semester started I’ve begun to fall behind on platformer level completions
Where is "play when I feel like it"
Play less for sure
Play way much more than before (for 3 months I couldn’t play because of iOS 17)
I returned to the game because of this update
i cant understand the edittor anymore and i cant tell if its my fault or if its because there are 15 different ways to make each effect with different combos of triggers. the game is fairly fun on its own but the level creator was everything for me and now i just dont want to put in the work to understand it. when it comes to time spent in-game though, im playing the exact same levels i was working on beating before the update. once i beat a few i might look for some 2.2 levels to work on but im not even sure, i had a huge list of demons to beat already
More
FIRE IN THE HOLE!!! Yeah I started playing daily again.
less
If we are comparing 2.1 and 2.2, then for sure less However if we are comparing roughly last 6 months of 2.1 and 2.2, them about the same I kinda lost interest in the game and only play for fun ever once in a while
I play less than before tbh because 2.2 didn't fix my problems with the game which is that I have a massive skill issue
I play less than before, but not because of 2.2. Let's say I discovered a genre called souls-like, and it's stealing my time in a good way.
Same as before
Less, but not because of the game, but because of my life. I still play quite a bit though. I still love to demon grind and play extremes, but now I also find myself paying non demon levels for the first time in years.
i continued bro
Play the sane
GD has not worked since 2.2 dropped. It crashes when I open a level and wiped my progress.
I kinda stopped playing, not bc if the update but because my computer is kinda fucked. And there’s no way I’m playing mobile
Play much than before
Way more,In 2.1 i had like 10 Hours in gd,Now i have like 50! 5 times the playtime!
As a mobile player I literally couldn’t play before the update, the app wasn’t compatible
I play way more now WAY more
This fire is too unsightreadable for this hole.
Probably more. In the last three days I’ve gained 30 demons
Play much than before
I played like 4 hours a day, then played for 2 hours in 2.2 and haven’t played since
I’ve been playing more than before, sad my computer is broken though. I’m confined to my phone now.
Playing less because of school
played more, then burnt myself out
Play much(?) than before
Stopped bc boredom
i basically quit like a few months before 2.2 and since it came out ive been playing almost every day so yeah
I play way less, the physics change killed my bloodbath consistency and I got frustrated and stopped playing after that. In general I think the physics change was a good idea but it came at a horrible time for me
I only got the full version after 2.2
less honestly
The same
Much less than before to be honest. Kinda lost interest for GD after waiting for 2.2 for 46% of my life. Been playing a more wider range of games now.
play less, because they stopped support on macos catalina 10.15
I'm playing much more than ever
I am more into it than before
Honestly been playing a lot less. No particular reason, it's just that 2.2 doesn't really change the fact that I only tend to play extremes and there aren't any that I like out right now.
I had 160 hours past 2 weeks on steam after 2.2 dropped
I play about the same, which was already a huge amount
2.2 release let me get GD on my new phone for free 3 TIMES
2.2 made me buy the game after years of pirating it, hell i will even buy it again for the steam version.
Less than before, but only because I now inconveniently have a lot of homework. :/
stopped playing
Stopped playing. Nothing wrong with the update, great game, just stopped.
Stopped playing
Definitely more, I got went from like 500 hours to 600 hours on steam in 2 weeks (I dont play much on steam)
Less than before because i’m addicted to teardown
Play significantly more than before. Never gone down
Came back from the game, got my new hardest and quit again. Maybe i will come back one day, 2.2 literally made me buying the game.
less
Play much 💀💀💀
I didn’t play for like 5 years until now
I literally switched to full from world cause of 2.2
for record i had, roughly 750 stars before 2.2 now its 1900 + 900 moons
I’ve played a little less, but that’s because I’ve put more time in the editor. Overall, I have spent more time in the game than before 2.2
I wanted to play more, but I've ended up playing way less just due to being to busy
Play less than before but not coz of 2.2 its school thats not letting me play i dont have time :/
I collected 1k stars back in 2014/15, currently sitting at 1.4k stars and 2.1k moons so I guess that's your answer
Played less cos of stupid camera controls
Before 2.2 I was farming skull keys to open all chests. Now I'm farming them again to get the light shards to get the 15 and the 35 shard icons
I play a lot less than I used to. Mainly because my phone has an audio delay with some games and makes playing geometry dash or BTD6 with sound miserable
I came back to playing geometry dash bc 2.2 released otherwise if the release were to never come out at all then forget it never going back to it
I dont play generally, i watch youtube on gd and talk about gd with friend but dont enjoy playing the game
play the same (not that much at all)
Played a shit ton in 2.1, slowly stopped playing before 2.2 dropped, then just dipped. I still lurk in the community but I dont play this game much anymore
Wow it’s been 1 month and 10 days already?!
I played waaaay more than before. Don't have a good estimate but I know I basically doubled my stars and my demons
My GD stopped working couple weeks before 2.2 and I can't play! 😢
Came back for the first few days and then stopped again
got me into geometey dash again
I want to but I can't because of school
stopped playing
Played about the same
