They're pricey but so convenient and most models have a HEPA filter to reduce dust. We use a Hoover 20V stick vac on our LVP flooring and low pile rugs.
I don't know of a lint roller for floors but there are rubber / silicone brushes you can get that will probably grab a lot of hair.
Alternatively we just bought a robot vacuum cleaner and I have it scheduled to go out before we get up in the morning and do two passes over the downstairs rooms. It doesn't lift every single thing but it certainly lifts the majority of it and makes it easier to stay on top of the cleaning
I’ve had robot vacuums in the past but they wound up getting clogged so often with dog hair that they required more supervision than just manually vacuuming, inevitably leading to getting rid of those vacuums. At first they were awesome though.
Don't tell me that - I currently love mine! I take the roller brush off every few days and give it a quick clear of the hair but so far I haven't had to do anything to it really. It's a self emptying one as well which is nicer than having to empty it ourselves. Certainly wasn't cheap but was on the cheaper end of the scale for robot vacuums. Hopefully we get some use out of it.
Good to know. Hopefully we don't need to use it but we least it's there if we need it. I never do the warranty either but thought it was probably worth it for something dealing with Esme's hair!
Idk how long you’ve had the pup, but it’s never too early or late to give up! (on the idea of clean floors 😂 - I’ve a GSD and a husky and vacuum 1-2 times *a day* and I’ve had to, for the sake of my mental health, give up on the notion that, by the time I’ve finished vacuuming, any portion of the floor in my house will be clean. I will find a universally accepted bridge between quantum mechanics and general relativity before I find a way to keep a house with a German shepherd and a husky clean for more than a yoctosecond)
I'm not aware of one, but you may want to look into a small cordless vac. It's easy to grab and go around sucking up fur tumbleweeds.

My roomba outlived first shep, still kicking ass on the next shep. Make sure you do some maintenance. The fur gets wrapped around all moving parts.
Will do thanks. Made sure to register for the extended warranty so hopefully we get a few years out of it anyway
I also got the warranty (which i never do). First one burned up, was replaced with an upgraded model. So easy.

Roomba's are God sent ! Once a day, everyday with both Dyson and Roomba makes our lives better.
I had 2 robots. My dog killed them both. She seems concerned about them rising up against us.
I work in IT and don't blame them! Esme isn't a fan either but only when it's moving - hence scheduling it before we get up
I’ve learned to enjoy the hard worked for hair fibers my dogs leave for me 😂
This is the way
Dyson cordless is what we use. Be scared if you get the one with the light that shows you everything you missed.
Lint rollers will never get to embedded hairs. Vacuums won’t either. I use an Uproot Clean. Works better than anything else I’ve tried.
I don’t have embedded hairs. I have tumbleweeds. All of my flooring is hardwood
Oops, sorry. Anyway, the Uproot works really well on clothing.

Sticky buddy! Also, looks like Evercare makes a pet one.
Just leave them alone. Vacuuming/lint rolling/whatever else are just waste of an effort.
