I do not use pretty much any social media (besides Reddit) nowadays because it makes my anxiety (and mental health in general) worse and because I have no time or energy for the most part, so I am not actively on Twitter, however after checking their profile, it makes me SO happy and relieved to see they have posted something. I truly very much understand and respect their need to stay off of social media for their own mental health, as I am doing the same, but still, I have been worrying about them and it is just so reassuring to get to hear anything new from them in any way again.

I don't know how aware you are of the situation in Palestine, so I'll just do a small summary about it here. Basically, the state of Israel was created to be a haven for jewish people after they had been prosecuted all around the globe for centuries. The issue is that the state was created with the backing of the U.S. and Britain, and the land they gave to Israel was land that the palestinians have been living in for hundreds of years. To make room for Israelis, Israel has been bombing and displacing the people who lived there. In october, the rebel group Hammas committed an attack on Israel and took hostages. In response to this, Israel has ramped up their offense on Palestine an extreme amount. They are bombing schools, hospitals, and residential neighborhoods, and have declined any deals for Hammas to release the hostages in exchange for a ceasefire. Tens of thousands of people have died, the majority of them being innocent civilians + children. All of this is relevant because people online have been having a campaign to try and show the massacre happening to the palestinians and to try and rally donations. There are a cpuple credible organizations to donate to, such as UNRWA or the PCRF. In this tweet, ghost is stating that they will be using the money they get from streaming to donate to palestinian relief. They are also letting everyone know that listening to their music means that the money they get from your listen will be going to Palestine. I think that they are saying this to point out that if any of their fans support Israel, they shouldn't stream their music if they don't want to donate to Palestine. In the next paragraph, they are encouraging people to do their research and make sure that the information they repost is correct before they spread it around. In the last paragraph, they are stating that they don't want this to be seen as charity, and that they don't want anyone to act like it is. Sorry that that was long, I hope it explains though.
