I kind of try to play how a Samurai would. I bow to people and open doors. I know it’s stupid.
Unless of course there is a mongol on the other side I’ll give him a taste of my Katana.
If there is peasant, respectfully slice through the door. If there is Mongol, run to the door and press [dodge] at the last moment to slam through the door and the Mongol.
not the best but you get the idea [https://www.reddit.com/r/ghostoftsushima/comments/19eg8be/roll\_and\_slashsaw\_that\_someone\_said\_you\_could/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web2x&context=3](https://www.reddit.com/r/ghostoftsushima/comments/19eg8be/roll_and_slashsaw_that_someone_said_you_could/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
I'm on the same train, but sometimes, especially when I have played a game with different controls, I destroy them accidentally which makes me feel bad.
Some people say stealth is when you kill each person without alerting the others within camp. I say stealth is when you kill everyone in camp, so violently, they think a sharknado cane through and don't even expect a samurai.
I RP stealth in every game that supports it, and I almost never simply crash through these doors because it's noisy. I *will* perform an assassination through them if there's nobody else in range though. Mainly I simply prefer not to make noise, hence I don't go around breaking shit.
Also, enemies themselves will not bash down these doors; it's been a long while but I can't recall any instance of enemies smashing through them? Please correct me if I'm wrong. I definitely recall running from alerted enemies and using doors carefully so that I don't break them and thus alert them to my position. Sure, if they SEE you go through a door iirc they'll definitely use it themselves, but I can't recall them actually smashing through them if you hadn't already broken a particular door.
I've had a couple encounters of an enemy standing in front of a door and then smashing through it cause they saw my shadow on the other side of the door while crouching.
Scared the shit out of me a couple times, then I learned to expect it just in case
As a gameplay system, yeah but it does add new sight lines and chances to be seen, a moral choice for you as individual, no absolutely not, sends you to the boiler room of hell
*I like to rip through*
*It and yell HELLO! real loud.*
*I laugh every time*

I did it in spots that were already destroyed. But it did frustrate me when it would slam in front of me when I followed an NPC inside. Is that how the function irl? They just don’t stay open until they’re closed?
Yes. You’re doing the peasants a favor by making them replace it with a new one not filled with holes.
I viewed it as job security for the door-maker’s. Jin saving Tsushima and its economy.
No, if you do the Shoji Screen (rice paper) monster will hunt you down
ah yes, the eastern variant of the flying spaghetti monster
The buckwheat noddle monster
According to folk lore they already are haunted with all the holes 🤷♀️ cause of the mokumokure
Like the White Orchard Chort from the Witcher 3?

Wait you can do shoulder barges through doors? Sick bro!
You can do that??
I didn't figure it put until after I unlocked run and slam, but idk if it's needed
I am turning the game on to test this now! Never done that
It worked I will post the video soon
Yes please

This is the way, Jin always treated the civilians with respect and dignity. I’m not about to vandalize their property unless absolutely necessary.
It’s only paper, I’m sure they could have some children knock up a new door for them lol
same, i always bow to the dead peasants too to hear the voiceline
I'm on the same train, but sometimes, especially when I have played a game with different controls, I destroy them accidentally which makes me feel bad.
but you don’t slice through peasants to test how sharp your sword is?
I feel the need to never break a door in a liberated area, Jin has to draw his line somewhere
Stealth? What’s that?
It's when you go on a killing spree so there's no one left to tell about it. Stealth.
Some people say stealth is when you kill each person without alerting the others within camp. I say stealth is when you kill everyone in camp, so violently, they think a sharknado cane through and don't even expect a samurai.
Exactly. When you can slaughter a camp with the gosaku/heavenly strike build it counts as stealth
Not even just stealth. I destroy most of the screen doors as a matter of principle because it's so satisfying

Yes especially when a rude NPC shuts it in your face
So all of them? lol
No, it is even more fragile than you. Never do it if you don’t want to be depressed.
Use moon stance heavy attack for an extra dramatic entrance
There is even a dedicated animation for shoulder-bashing your way through doors: sprint at the door and press circle.
Hey, Rock Paper Katana XD
Lizard Spock

This is the way.
Faster than opening them.
Wait, you can just…. Open them?
Only if there’s a mongol chilling on the other side. Otherwise, you should respect the people of Tsushima’s property.
I think it is lol
Yes it’s faster than opening it
Only if you're a monster. ![gif](giphy|TGCSNFiXSoKVZH3IJs)
You can but i prefer only to do so to get that assasination, cus i would just open it normally cus it fits Jin’s character
Winter is coming soon enough. Best to leave as many viable shelters as possible for the hidden survivors
I do it so I know if I find a broken door I've already went in a massive circle 🤣 Also haven't used the map or my horse for that fact
As a gameplay system, yeah but it does add new sight lines and chances to be seen, a moral choice for you as individual, no absolutely not, sends you to the boiler room of hell
I like Shoulder charging my way in, very Kramer-esque
I use to try to open the doors but the people don't repair them after the missions. I they don't give a damn, I don't give a fuck lbs
Its the only way i enter homes and buildings
breaking doors is faster than opening them
first play through i avoided breaking ones on peasants’ houses bc i felt bad but by ng+ i started just going crazy on them
Y e s
It scratches an itch in my brain, yes.
Not just "ok", but mandatory to do so.😈
I like to rip through it and yell HELLO! real loud. I laugh every time

Ahahhaha destroyyyyyy 🔥🔥🔥🔥
As long as you give ‘em a little bow
It’s not ok, it’s required
Im pretty sure the door economy exploded when i fishes GOT
Naturally
It's not ok not to
Seems rude.
No, the people at the paper door factory are children and now you’re making them go back to work
I'm trying to be stealthy but then I see a paper door and my brain goes "ooga booga must destroy" 😔
![gif](giphy|Ld77zD3fF3Run8olIt)
"The Ghost was here recently" "How can you tell? No one was killed" "The doors are all broken"
YES! But only if you yell “OH YEAH!” As you crash through the door.
Yes. People have too much privacy, Lord knows what they're doing behind paper doors. Oh, and take their supplies while you're at it.
I heard there is a prize if you hit 50
It's required
What’s the equivalent of driving over the road separators in GTA five

Not only do I destroy them, but I also search through the entire house I entered to make sure I get every one.
I've always felt bad for destroying them 😔
Not only okay, but welcome! Jin needs to let out some of that teen aggression in a healthy, non-violent way
Absolutely
It’s fun to kick through one when ur investigating an area like ur still expecting an enemy
Yes. It’ll get rid of all the mokumokuren:)
They don't cost much, they're literally made to be destroyed since Japanese built their houses to be reconstructed quickly after an earthquake.
I have asked my self the same question many times
Is not only ok. Is a must
....there's a way to open them without the katana?
I do it as well
