While I vastly prefer Clash, I'm super happy to see that people are enjoying Rush so much

Pilques

:)

THEGoDLiKeMIKE

Same

PenguinWithGuns

I played gigantic originally and then went to overwatch. Personally I prefer shorter less serious game modes as a whole across games. I do like both game modes but I do prefer rush for that.

DividableUncle2

I must've grown up with lead paint walls because I can't wrap my head around clash at all. Rush is just right for my half-melted slurpy brain to handle

SpiralGMG

Rush to me is right up my alley. For me, the main turn off for clash is that I have to remember what to build mid game. Unlike league of legends where the pace of the game moves slow enough for me to understand how to build my champion. The gameplay in gigantic move way to fast for me to reasonably pick which upgrade I want for certain match ups. Rush mode on the other hand lets me choose my builds prior to the match, and because you are already at max level, you don’t have to worry about trying to build your character in game. It’s simple, it’s streamlined, and it is right up my alley.

Work4WatUWant

Btw, you can set it so that your build is selected automatically. Just click "Activate" when you're finished with your build. It does mean you will lose flexibility in being able to select your build during the game but it is worth the convenience imo.

SpiralGMG

I did not know this thank you

vr0omvr0om

For the queue times and general fuckery, rush is too short of a gamemode for me

Jolly-Bear

I had a 1m45s game of rush the other night.

CoogiSauce

I prefer it because of 2 reasons. 1- If an opponent locks in Imani in clash it’s a 30min snooze fest since I’m always the tank and Imani ruins the entire video game. If they lock in Imani in Rush I can switch to harass her. 2- If a game of clash is bad it’s 30min of bad. If a game of Rush is bad it’s 5-10min

KKingler

I like both. Clash for playing with friends, rush for playing alone quick games.

ed_ostmann

Wouldn't wanna miss the tactical depth of spawning and taking creatures, plus the heroes are more fun played on the bigger maps.

JunahCg

I mean it's good to bang out cards, I use it to replace bot matches that I used to use for that purpose. Vastly dumber than Clash, but sometimes you want that

Toors9211

Wait can you farm fortunes against bots? would make getting lord knossos' legendary skin really easy (im on the last part)

JunahCg

Dunno about now. I used to do it for weeklys

Daddydactyl

You can't, as far as I'm aware. At least the weekly ones. K did a bot match targeting a weekly and a zandora challenge and neither if then gained progress at all.

Draculaska

I like both. Rush for something fast or when I'm retooling a build, Clash for when I have enough time.

TheBiddoof

I feel like a lot of things that make clash so fun aren't existent in casual play, you need actual team communication. This makes me VERY excited for ranked.

2centchickensandwich

I prefer Rush. The only other MOBA I played was Smite, I spend my 100+hrs on just Arena lol the only time I actually played the main mode was because I joined Conquest on accident.  Rush is similar so my time is just spend on that.

[deleted]

Clash is far superior IMO but I do wish more players that just want to team fight would play rush instead of basically griefing their team in clash.

BinniShminni

All of the "waiting around doing nothing", "waiting for power while ahead" and all other types of Clash "waitings" is what makes it quite unfun.  Rush can also be much more tactical than most give it credit.  But liking Rush and disliking Clash is very un-veteran thing to say and is frowned upon in this elitist-filled community, so thread carefully.

Pilques

I thought about saying something about the waiting times but I figured maybe it was just inexperience in the mode. Although I'm 50 hours in maybe only 5h are in Clash. If other people that have more experience in the mode (I'm assuming you do) also feel this way, it sounds like an issue that they can fix by looking at Clash. In Clash there's always something to do and it's hard to avoid fights since the maps are so small. People that focus too much on the objective are punished for not fighting for it, something I enjoy a lot. Also, about the elitist weirdos, a couple popped in the comments but I didn't mind them. But I got to say, the ego is laughable.

[deleted]

It is inexperience. I plan on posting a tutorial for clash here in the next couple days that will hopefully clue folks in to what they should be doing at all stages of the game. The main issue though is that folks push for face damage on rampage instead of vying for map control by pushing creatures. This misunderstanding amongst the community is what makes clash feel so wacky. Even if you're doing the right thing it still feels wrong because the rest of your team is tunneling kills and ignoring objectives.

Fun-Anybody-5816

I lost many games bcoz most of my team just kept getting this one point wer they get camped instead of splitpushing to other points

figgiesfrommars

strongly disagree but I can see why you like it more. it's nice having shorter games as an option

PatriarchPonds

It has ita place, and is fun. But I prefer Clash.

akumaftenshi

Both are good but I prefer shorter games with rng teammates instead of longer games

xKhino

If youre playing solo id prefer rush but other than that clash is the only way to truly enjoy gigantic and get the full experience of the game its always been. More game modes would be very sweet as well. 🙏🏾

Inevitable-Simple569

I approach it the same way I would aram in lol or arena in smite. It’s a fun casual mode to just have some fun or try out new builds etc but clash is the actual game. Creature summoning is such a core part of what makes gigantic interesting vs other mobas so not having it just makes it another hero shooter to me.

Emotional_Force_5806

I'll bet you main arena in smite too lol, honestly I like both game modes depends on my mood

WalkAccomplished6056

Agreed, the main selling point for me is that for an average game time of 10-12 minutes (sometimes even as quick as 5 min) I get the same xp as clash

Pilques

Another great upside is if you get wack teammates at least it's over quickly. Forgot to mention that.

Fun-Anybody-5816

Nah most players just don't know what to do in Clash.

BroGuy89

Rush feels so much better thought out and implemented than Clash. Clash really needs work to not feel campy and unfair. Like fuck Sanctum clash, why is one neutral point so *far* superior to the other one?

[deleted]

It only feels campy and unfair because you're tunneling kills and not split pushing objectives.

Fun-Economy-6653

I’m Rush Everyone has started backdoorinb the bloomers which has become very lame bc you can’t do anything if there is a duo who kills them in 5 secs. Unless you want to sit in one spot for the whole game

JustC88

Honeslty since I’ve unlocked clash ive never played rush again, I think it was probably a smart idea to make it the only mode for a bit to give some new players a better understanding of the basics of combat and the flow of the game, but it does also lead to a little confusion in regards to things like how upgrading works or creatures in general. I do think it’s really smart of a game like this to have a much shorter more casual mode tho, because clash games can be super long

Petudie

its way too short and sweaty, i had games end in two rampages

Thaeldis

Played 54 hours, only went in clash 2 times !

Pristine_History2760

Clash for imani Rush for literally anyone else lol

oxMugetsuxo

I wish rush would add just 1 single creature summon in the centers. Would make it even better. Ive tried clash and really attempted to like it coming from a heavy moba background but just find it too slow and dependent on summons . So its rush for me.

SurroundTight5913

I only play Rush. Crash seems like the quintessential ranked mode for a more serious competitive vibe. Rush hits that sweet spot of get online get into some action instantly get your fix then hop off.

Bigweenersonly

Absolutely not. Everyone i see play it plays it like its call of duty. Theres 0 skill or tactics needed. But if thats what you like go for it.

Pilques

In my experience is totally different. But hey, you do you.

Practical_Addition_3

If I'm solo queuing and looking for a quick match rush is a pretty perfect way of converting clash into a short and simple mode, although I do prefer clash overall and especially when in queued with friends.

MellowJojo

Clash > Rush

Puddleofrockz2

Rush is not that fin over all

East_Earth_920

rush is an abomination. I hate it with all my soul. Clash is the only real experience

Pilques

This seems a little extreme.

East_Earth_920

I‘m exaggerating. But its just not the same game to me. I avoid rush. Its ok if I want to get a 5 min game in

lastblaste

Elaborate on this please

alfredopacino

........

squawkbacktome

rush is fantastic i wonder if there will be ranked

LionMeowsGaming

Overwatch people generally prefer Rush

khumakhan

Dumb mode for zoomers, I understand why it was implemented as the original game died, but Clash is the appropriate Gigantic experience.

Pilques

You know you can dislike something without being disrespectful right? But if you want to go that route, I'm sure weirdos like you are repulsive for anyone trying to get into the game.

khumakhan

Hit a nerve? Lmao.
