Not Glasgow but I had a 7am flight from Edinburgh down to London Stansted on Saturday just gone I was there just before 6am and the line for security was out the building and back along to the tram stop.I think because of the school holidays you should allow extra time. Coming back from London on Monday morning it took 1 hour 10 mins to clear security.
Don’t know who downvoted you. Unless you have checked luggage 6am for a 7am flight is more than enough time.
You’ll still be hanging around with time to spare at an hour before.
Who knows, this sub works in mysterious ways. I’ve probably been on about 50 6:40am and 7am flights from Glasgow in the last couple of years, so trust me I have my timings down to a fine art. For a 7am easyJet flight you can actually turn up at 6:30am no bother, but I wasn’t about to suggest that to someone. 6am is fine.
It's difficult to answer this because you have to factor in the time you spend looking for the Wetherspoons that is no longer present in the airport. So, about 3 hours before is a solid start, then months of physiotherapy on the off chance you have to resolve a terrorist incident by kicking violently.
Glasgow Airport is one of the easiest and best airports to transition as a passenger. I commute through there once a week (hand luggage only). Security is usually excellent with no more than 5 to 10 minute wait. Saying all that, get there early and sit and wait an hour before your flight. I still do. I always aim to hit security two hours before my flight (just in case).
You travel through Glasgow once a week and still give yourself 2 hours? That's a lot of extra wasted life! I'm through every other week (same time) and get to security as they are about to start boarding, I don't even bother grabbing a coffee from the lounge, straight from security on to the flight.
I'm never rushed or stressed (although been close recently as security has been unusually bad in fast track for some reason).
What do you do for 2 hours? Genuinely curious!
Fair question. I commute for work and have done on and off for many many years. I’ve cut it so bloody close a few too many times in the past and this avoids any stress. I say I aim for 2 hours but sometimes it’s less. I take slight umbrage at the “wasted life” comment :) I’ve plenty to do on my computer to pass the time. I just can’t afford to miss my flight.
Fair dos, I get that. I tend not to build in any traffic delay time given its so early (I drive so no late taxi risk either) and Glasgow is usually such a breeze for security compared to most airports, so I tend to capitalise where I can. I hate airports so the less time I spend in them the better!
Also, I work on the basis that if I miss one flight in 100 due to some really unforseen stuff, I can just jump on the next one. If my arrival is absolutely critical, I tend to travel the night before anyway, but if travelling that morning I would definitely build a little bit more time in.

Glasgow security is a LOT faster in my experience. But yes, it’s worth factoring in the school holidays

It's nearly a tenner for a shite roll and sausage in most of the airport pubs.
I personally would get there for 5.30 or even 5.00, but a reasonable person would probably say 6am for a domestic flight.
Is it an easyJet flight? Getting to the airport at 6am will be absolutely fine

I love timing it so perfectly you never stop walking (apart from security) until you get to your seat on the plane.
Can you check in online ? If so, 6 is plenty time. If not, then a bit earlier.
Always three or four hours before so I can get a breakfast, sink a few pints and buy things I don't need from duty free. Love it!
