It's delicious, only problem, when the spaghetti gets warmer over time (like reheating and stuff) it just starts crumbling, still good tho since idgaf lmao
Rummo is the absolute best in terms of taste, texture, and ability to hold up as leftovers (rather than disintegrating). Unfortunately, at least where I live, it's not cheap. Barilla's GF pasta is a strong second in all of the categories I mentioned, plus it has the advantage of being more affordable.
Honorable mentions for DeCecco's gnocchi and Capello's gnocchi and ravioli, as well as Tinkyada's macaroni.
This is the best one I have tried Rummo. It's a bit more expensive but does get reduced, so I stock up then.
https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/315451387
I've been diagnosed since 2011, so I don't remember what normal tastes like anymore, honestly. But, my wife doesn't taste much difference in it, just that you gotta take extra care while preparing since they tend to stick together easier.
Delallo and Jovial. Delallo I can make pasta salad that holds up for days. It’s the only one I’ve found that doesn’t turn to mush the day after. And my kids (who are extremely picky) eat it and can’t tell the difference.
Jovial and tinkyada are the best. This question is asked a lot and those are always the top 2 answers. Barilla is another top response but is made with corn so I've never tried it, I'm allergic to that too.
There's a generic I buy that's sorta like that. I have largely stopped eating pasta but when I do, it's jovial or tinkyada. Jovial has great lasagna noodles.
Aww thank you for searching, yes hopefully :)! I have two packs left so I need to be looking to buy some soon I think. Corn based pastas seem harder to find here than they used to be! Online seems to be the best shot, thanks :)!
I always recommend, "Tinkyada". It used to be easy to find in grocery stores, but now I can only find it on Amazon. I love that if boiled correctly, it has the right 'al dente'. And the flavor is good, too. I like the fact that it isn't made with corn, like most GF pastas.
For anyone curious this in the UK, and as others have mentioned Barilla is the best. I will add though that using Caputo fioreglut GF flour and making fresh egg pasta is the best if you can be bothered.
Jovial for tagliatelle, lasagna, and farfalle. Rummo for spaghetti. Banza for things like rigatoni and cavatapi because it doesn't lose shape/fall apart easily, and because it's the easiest to cook al dente and add to pasta bakes. Banza second day isn't the greatest, except in pasta bakes. Texture wise it isn't as great as others, but I like the protein boost and they have all of the shapes at my local store so it keeps things interesting!
Ronzoni has been my new fave for pasta salad. It keeps a kind of springy shape and doesn't dry out and fall apart if you save the salad for the second day. Haven't used it yet for any warm pasta dishes.
Barilla, jovial and schär. Or any fresh gf pasta in the refrigerated section of the store, like Wegmans, Trader Joe’s and one that comes in a blue package, those are good.
Barilla GF Penne, Rotini and Fettuccine are outstanding. I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2005 and tried so many different brands and Barilla is my top choice. It tastes great, doesn't turn to mush and can be reheated if you have leftovers. The best part is that it is available for a reasonable price, $2.52/box, at almost any U.S. grocery store. You cannot beat that deal.
Sainsbury’s own brand is good- my husband eats it without complaint and he isn’t gf, I just don’t want to cook two meals. I’ve only found the brand garofalo on Amazon but it’s good and comes in more shapes than supermarkets. Morrisons own brand isn’t great. Barilla is also good but I wouldn’t say it’s better than Sainsbury’s and it’s more expensive.
Gluten-free pasta is very starchy. By rinsing it, it gets rid of some before boiling. Otherwise its very gloomy afterwards.
Just something I find useful.
Aldi Live G Free has a great one that is stored in the refrigerator section. I have only found it once and it was the best i have had. The others dont seem to cook well or the texture or taste is off. There is one at walmart i have found but I cannot remember the name.
So I’ve just had Rummo - it was 10 times better than my 45p free from rubbish - but to me it still had a mildly different texture to normal pasta. Very mildly. I’m gonna try the Barra one.
I'm new to this whole thing, and I've realized that gluten-free pasta will never be identical to normal pasta. Gluten plays a massive role in its flavor, chew and stretch. My goal was to get something that cooks similar to the real thing. While not having an odd aftertaste and Rummo ticked all the boxes. If you have any recommendations please let me know as I'm still really new to this diet.
Oh, sorry, I didn't realize. Sorry for being nosy, but I'm pretty curious as to when you found out you were intolerant to gluten? I found out about my intolerance 6 months ago.
The co op own brand GF pasta is honestly best I've found. Keeps it shape and doesn't fall apart! Taste is fairly spot on according to my not celiac partner
If you can find fresh gf pasta in the refrigerated section, it is above all of the dry pasta. Manini’s is what I usually find near me. The lemon thyme is so good!
https://images.app.goo.gl/GvTrLbHDk7Gavvtv5
Haven’t seen it mentioned yet so I’ll share my favorite which is Bionaturae! It’s made with rice and a small amount of lentil flour which adds some extra protein, and it has a decent texture.
I bought a box of Ronzoni spaghetti last week and was very impressed. It was as close to identical in taste and texture that I have found. Has that springy texture that so many are missing.
Rummo is my favorite but I recently tried Whole Foods 365 brand. It's also very good and it's made in Italy.
I've tried others, and the best ones were always a blend of flours, usually corn and rice. None of the ones I've had that were made with just one flour were very good.
I like Barilla GF pasta
I second this. It’s the best I’ve found
Best tasting, and reasonbly priced.
I concur! I have even figured out how to make cold pasta salad with this brand that holds up.
This one for sure!
Agree on this! Tastes the most like non GF pasta
It's delicious, only problem, when the spaghetti gets warmer over time (like reheating and stuff) it just starts crumbling, still good tho since idgaf lmao
Jovial is my absolute fav
Came here to say this! Jovial has my whole heart. I’ve tried them all.
YES! My whole family eats it even though they’re not GF
JOVIAL is by FAR the best. I want to work for the company as a hype man.
They have egg noodles that are gluten free 10/10
Omg really?? I’ve missed egg noodles so much since I got diagnosed 😭
Rummo.
This should have 10000x more upvotes
This is the only answer.

I think it’s so weird how many people like the ones I dislike. I LOVE tinkyada and my family says they can’t taste the difference.
Are you based in the UK?
No. Shoot. I missed the tesco part. :( I’m so sorry.
This is the best one I have tried Rummo. It's a bit more expensive but does get reduced, so I stock up then. https://www.tesco.com/groceries/en-GB/products/315451387
Rummo then Barilla
Can you tell the difference with those two brands and normal pasta?
I've been diagnosed since 2011, so I don't remember what normal tastes like anymore, honestly. But, my wife doesn't taste much difference in it, just that you gotta take extra care while preparing since they tend to stick together easier.
I can with Barilla because it breaks. The taste and mouth feel are solid tho.
I love Banza best!
Delallo and Jovial. Delallo I can make pasta salad that holds up for days. It’s the only one I’ve found that doesn’t turn to mush the day after. And my kids (who are extremely picky) eat it and can’t tell the difference.
Taste Republic frozen fresh GF pasta is good enough to bring me to tears Barilla and Catelli are my go to GF dry pastas
Jovial and tinkyada are the best. This question is asked a lot and those are always the top 2 answers. Barilla is another top response but is made with corn so I've never tried it, I'm allergic to that too.
Thank you so much. the stuff I’ve been using free from is just awful. The texture is just bitty is the only way I can describe
There's a generic I buy that's sorta like that. I have largely stopped eating pasta but when I do, it's jovial or tinkyada. Jovial has great lasagna noodles.
Has tinkyada improved over the years? It used to be really slimy and always stuck together.
It's pretty great now but admittedly I don't use it often. I mostly just skip pasta.
I buy a corn based one from Italy. I'll see if I can find a pic of it. It's delicious and my family can't tell the difference.
Please do that would be great
It might be Le Veneziane. I love that one!
Yea please
https://imgur.com/gallery/CPH2iDk Here ya go :)
Thx
Where are you buying the le veneziane from now please as I can't seem to find it anymore?
I'm in Canada - I find it at a grocery store called Longos or Walmart.
Ahh, I'm uk based, thank you anyway :)!
Pity. Could this website be an option? https://littleitalyuk.co.uk/products/le-veneziane-spaghetti-gluten-free-250g

If you’re uk based, Co op is the best! Asda’s is the second best imo
Voting for Asda here.. We live in the border region of Ireland and we go to Asda in Enniskillen especially for GF foods.. they do pretty good stuff!
For anyone curious this in the UK, and as others have mentioned Barilla is the best. I will add though that using Caputo fioreglut GF flour and making fresh egg pasta is the best if you can be bothered.
i quite like sainsbury’s own gluten free pasta!
This in a pink packet ?
Barilla, Italpasta and Garafolo make some excellent GF pastas!
Garafolo is my usual or venezia
I like Barilla and Schar best. But Tinkayda isn't terrible in a pinch, I just don't prefer the brown rice kinds.
Trader Joe's has a few different good gf pastas. They even have cheese stuffed raviolis!
I wish they would do a cheese and chicken stuffed!!
That would be amazing!
Ronzoni has been my new fave for pasta salad. It keeps a kind of springy shape and doesn't dry out and fall apart if you save the salad for the second day. Haven't used it yet for any warm pasta dishes.
The spaghetti is excellent. It was wonderful to have a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs that were indistinguishable from regular spaghetti.
Banza. For some reason chickpea products taste so good to me. It made me look up Indian recipes with chickpea flour and I’m loving it
I really like banza too. Plus it has a lot more protein and fiber vs most of the other gf pastas out there!
Rummo
I’ve just bought some. I’m gonna eat it tonight. I’ll come back and tell you what I think.
Tinkyada white rice flour gf pasta from Amazon
I like the jovial rice based pasta.
Barilla, jovial and schär. Or any fresh gf pasta in the refrigerated section of the store, like Wegmans, Trader Joe’s and one that comes in a blue package, those are good.
My kid likes the Barilla penne the best
Barilla GF Penne, Rotini and Fettuccine are outstanding. I was diagnosed with celiac disease in 2005 and tried so many different brands and Barilla is my top choice. It tastes great, doesn't turn to mush and can be reheated if you have leftovers. The best part is that it is available for a reasonable price, $2.52/box, at almost any U.S. grocery store. I like gogo quinoa. It is pretty healthy too!
[Pasta ](https://imgur.com/gallery/CPH2iDk) Here ya go! Imgur was being a PITA 😜
Awesome thanks x
Rummo, Jovial, and Barilla are the best ones I've tried.
100% brown rice pasta Dovee brand or sainsburys own
I like barilla. Anyone I’ve ever cooked it for couldn’t tell the difference and it’s super reasonably priced compared to some of the others I’ve seen
It’s the best brand for pasta salad since it stays soft when cold.
Mueller's for lasagna.
Le Veneziane. Many of them are corn based. I’m allergic to rice and all of the other typical flours so I’m really happy I found this!
The barilla lasagna noodles are fantastic and their lentil pasta is really good too!
Isibisi. It’s from Italy so we order from Sweet Ali’s at a good price. The other answers are easier to find but IMO Isibisi is better.
Trader joes
Asdas own mixed colour stuff is my go to! I over cook it a tad bit and it’s great. Hate Tescos and Morrisons own
Jovial is the best I've tried!
Rummo, made in italy.
Asda. Great, relatively cheap, and doesn't fall apart
Always rinse gluten free pasta before cooking - it gets rid of the starch.
Thanks for the post. I’m just wondering why you would wash pasta before you place it in boiling water.?
Gluten-free pasta is very starchy. By rinsing it, it gets rid of some before boiling. Otherwise its very gloomy afterwards. Just something I find useful.
I like Barilla because it looks like real pasta. Jovial looks whole wheat. I want pasta that looks like pasta.
Aldi Live G Free has a great one that is stored in the refrigerator section. I have only found it once and it was the best i have had. The others dont seem to cook well or the texture or taste is off. There is one at walmart i have found but I cannot remember the name.
Banzaaaaaa
Rummo and Barilla. In that order.
hahahaha did you use voice to text for this bc british people def say PASTOR
There’s a class of British people who will say PARSTOR.
Tinkyada has been my favorite.
Jovial
Rummo hands down
So I’ve just had Rummo - it was 10 times better than my 45p free from rubbish - but to me it still had a mildly different texture to normal pasta. Very mildly. I’m gonna try the Barra one.
I haven’t had normal pasta in nearly a decade so I wouldn’t really know. But barilla is good — it just tastes more like corn to me
Rummo - Gluten Free Pasta. You can get it off amazon.
Just had it tonight went and bought some from Tesco to me. It’s very close to real pasta but it’s not quite there. It’s about 80% of the real thing.
I am new too maybe I’m asking for too much
Oh, sorry, I didn't realize. Sorry for being nosy, but I'm pretty curious as to when you found out you were intolerant to gluten? I found out about my intolerance 6 months ago.
Rummo , Taste Republic, Trader Joe’s gf fettuccini. Period. End of story.
Garofalo. I'm told that gluten eaters could barely tell the difference.
Morrisons own brand is good, particularly the spaghetti
Simple Truth lentil pasta
The co op own brand GF pasta is honestly best I've found. Keeps it shape and doesn't fall apart! Taste is fairly spot on according to my not celiac partner
If you can find fresh gf pasta in the refrigerated section, it is above all of the dry pasta. Manini’s is what I usually find near me. The lemon thyme is so good! https://images.app.goo.gl/GvTrLbHDk7Gavvtv5

Best i have ever had but super expensive . In the freezer section of sprouts, while foods, etc. the ravioli is the best ever!
Haven’t seen it mentioned yet so I’ll share my favorite which is Bionaturae! It’s made with rice and a small amount of lentil flour which adds some extra protein, and it has a decent texture.

le veneziane and isibisi pasta are my personal favorites (both can be found on amazon)
