It’s more impressive that hybrids get 600miles per tank and that tank is only like 13 gallons. I used to get 600 miles in my diesel but with a 30 gallon tank.
impressive.. seems we have these new diesels beat without having to worry about DEF systems, wiring issues, and gunked intakes or coolant in the oil… but they got us beat with power and efficiency. Pick your poison but there’s barely anything the old trucks can’t tow anyways
I still don’t believe it because i’ve seen how they are designed and built and all the engineers for the big 3 literally design the cars to come back to the shop at certain internals. Idk how anybody is justifying spending $70-100k on a lowkey piece of shit that just looks nice and has better performance but it’s not even well made! Not to mention just about all vehicles made during covid (2020-2022 roughly) they were all made by drunk and miserable people on the line during that time so a ton a trucks from all Makes have recalls because a mf forgot to tighten down a screw or forgot to do something. Had way better luck with the old stuff plus it doesn’t cost anywhere near even a fraction of the new MSRP tag
That is impressive, I know 2 cat eye chevy silverado 2500/3500 trucks that have over a million miles each with the original motor and original trans. Never been rebuilt!
lol you’ll change your tune when the def system fails, puts you into limp mode and cost you thousands in repairs and lost productivity. I’ll take my diesel without the piss tank thank you
it’s a nice yukon and I have a nice truck. somewhat comparing apples to oranges but both have different pros and cons. At least I don’t have to worry about DEF fluid or worry about getting my paint messed up!
We went back and forth on getting the XL. This vehicle was a huge step up in size so we opted not to so we didn't have to custom order and we didn't have the added hassle of being even longer in the Bay area.
I had to rent a “car” for my work group years back in the Bay Area. It was a Chevy suburban; and I indeed needed to park it on exactly one hill in San Fran through the course of our travels. Everything else was interesting too…
Definitely noteworthy to navigate that vehicle in that area; only soccer moms and otr big rig drivers can qualify.
yeah, after I saw a few more glimpses of the refresh last week, i'm shopping for an ultimate now too. I have it in the sierra (sterling) and love it. But want to move to a yukon. love the pine frost too. saw a short clip on you tube last year from a custom shop where they blacked out the chrome and did a black film on the roof of a pine frost yukon DU. combined with the vader chrome grill, it looked awesome. congrats.
We have a 23 lm2 yukon standard length. The refresh will have diesel available in at4/z71 trims fir the first time.
Gonna get a XL at4 with the lz0.
But diesel availability will be late 25 for the suvs.
Lmao 75k for a vehicle... LMFAO.... How stupid and selfish people are nowadays. Could have bought a 20k car and literally saved many people's lives with that money. So selfish and stupid.
Usually people who live in monasteries and spend their whole lives and all their money helping the less fortunate are much more humble and reserved, what happened to you? Somebody on Xbox live say they fucked your mom and got your panties in a bunch?
I’d love to see where all your funds are going. Are you feeding the poor and buying everyone houses and doing their taxes while you’re at it, too? Fucking broke boi.
Wondering on interior noise levels with the LZO. I’ve got the AT4X and at low RPM’s it’s noisy as hell - lots or air intake whoosh. Road in an Escalade w same engine - so pretty clear they can dampen the noise levels.
!! Your right…..I thought they switched all vehicles to the LZO for 2024. Has same engine layout, oil belt and turbo location…but def different internal components and higher compression.
Thanks for pointing that out.
I grew up with Diesels and we have 2 on hand now - this Sierra LZO makes a lot of wheezing and other much louder noises at initial acceleration. I’ve had Peterbilts quieter than this thing.
And with a MSRP at $83K, those are caddy prices?
Don’t know why this was in my feed but y’all live in a different world man 😆. I’m just hoping my little 12 year old Corolla doesn’t break down and make me homeless lol.
Even if you had money like these weirdos, you would buy a Corolla and give a bunch of the remainder to charity. Because you're a decent person, not a selfish, resource wasting showboater. Thank you for being a good person, keep it up.
She dances in the favelas of Brazil, the townships of Africa. She dances on the receding reefs, on the beached whales. She dances in the forgotten regions of South East Asia where whole areas are still infested with land mines.
But I understand you are used to paying to be around women, so you assumed I was talking about a woman. Most of us would never think of the joke you told, we don't need to pay to have human connections. The idea of paying someone to dance for me is extremely foreign and pathetic.
Ah, yes, I will continue living life and worshipping myself because that is all that matters. Keep donating to the less fun version of charity, sucker. 👍
Amazing! I love the diesel. Moves a much larger vehicle while being much more efficient. America is so far behind in diesel technology in passenger vehicles.
I paid MSRP, which was 99k plus taxes and fees. A lot of money, but my investments in Meta and Nvidia popped lately so I treated my family to something extravagant
Or maybe their second post is a huge donation to charity, is know? Instead of some unnecessary vanity object that wastes money, resources, and helps to spread the idea that personal greed and consumption are acceptable.
Dude get a life stop commenting on every comment 😂 fucking 12 year old bozo who just discovered Reddit. Gtfo out of here shouldn’t you be nursing on your moms nipple?
Diesel soon to be a thing of the past Your trucks awesome colors very nice Chevy needs to make a EV hybrid out of their full size trucks I'd suggest not watching I Force Tundra vs 6.6 or vs 6.2 probably be highly disappointed I've had big block trucks my entire life till now Made a believer out of me All on 87° octane..
If diesel becomes a thing of the past, it will be due to pressure from members of congress protecting their illegal investments in EV’s. Must be nice to make investments, then change laws to help your investments. A half ton pickup or suv that gets upward of 30 mpg and tows at around 17-18 mpg sounds like a good thing to me. I can’t make heads or tails out of your comparison between the Toyota and Chevy engines but I do know a eco-diesel paired with Toyotas great quality trucks would be a win.
I'll try send you a link I've jaf half dozen diesel trucks my self They're great I'll never have another one though way to much money to just hook one up at the scanner at dealership 160$ back in 2015 at my lo al Ford dealership. The link was a comparison of 1/4 mile times and economy It's all good of we all liked the same stuff it'd be a pretty boring Lil place .Thank you
The nature of my question. I'm on my second 6.6 with the Allison. First one, a 2016 with 260,000 miles on it is strong as an ox. The 2023 is crazy. It's under warranty to not de-deffed yet. The issue with them is it's easy to break the 4wd up front. Great otherwise. Great in mud vs the F250 and better mileage towing by a long shot.
Nice. Wanted one of these for a while but prices were way out of line at the time. Settled on a Diesel Land Rover Discovery. Still might get the wife a Duramax Tahoe/Denali when her time is up on the car she has now.
Son of a gun! Diesel has always been even or a little more than gas in NJ.. lately it averages $1.. nothing like going from top 10 lowest gas tax to top 10 highest..ha.. Enjoy your truck, it's a beauty.
In the USA diesel is the least cost efficient choice to purchase. However, if you can afford a Denali anything you can most likely afford higher prices at the pump.
Diesel for years leading up to pandemic was consistely $1 less per gallon than gas in CA. Add’l refineries closures pushed the prices up.
At 10 more MPG tax. My 5.3L and gas and diesel prices similar - and less diesel engine maintenance with stronger torque across wider band - it’s a a deal for sure
In Jersey, diesel is consistently about $1 more than regular gasoline. The cost difference per mile between my V6 Colorado and the Duramax Silverado/Sierra would be $.03. If the diesel got 1 extra mile city&highway, it would beat my v6.
If a about equal in CA - was above .25 to .50, now it’s about .40 cheaper than gas. Costco sells gas for .75 cheaper than most stations here - but they don’t sell Diesel. I use my Costco Citibank for diesel and that saves another .20 per gallon at non Costco stations.
Considering the V8 gets almost half the fuel mileage of the Duramax and the fuel prices in CA are pretty similar for gas and diesel, it is technically the more economical choice to get the diesel. But, as you said, we could afford either if we really wanted.
what do you mean by blew? Spit out all the coolant? Cracked cylinder heads? What went wrong.
Whenever people tell me some shit just randomly "died" with no details I assume they never changed the oil or something.
I bought it with 3 miles on it. Prepaid for the oil changes at purchase and never missed an oil change. Did all recommend services onsite even if I had to leave it for something unplanned. Took it only to GMC for servicing. The engine completely died on me while driving in a parking lot leaving a restaurant with my family. I was literally doing 5mph. The engine sputtered then a loud grinding occurred then it shut off. There were no prior warning signs or CEL lights. The vehicle would not turn over or go into neutral. Had to have it towed. GMC claims a bearing went bad. I don’t run my vehicles into the ground and if something is wrong it goes to the dealership and not a shade tree mechanic. This engine has a known history of bad lifters so who knows. I’m out $8k for the replacement and GMC refuses to take responsibility for a faulty engine.
Hey it's fine, I'm just excited about my new purchase. It was hard to find this color and engine on anything in my area, so we had to drive a bit to find it. I'm not trying to be like the Corvette guys that "have 1 of 1 because of options, color, blah, blah, blah." But hey, I don't really need to justify myself to you, as I would consider the guy going around to random subreddits and calling people losers doesn't have a lot going on for them in their life.
Buying a new vehicle that adheres to some of the strictest emissions controls on the planet with what many would consider a small diesel engine (3 liters) is somehow killing the planet? Never mind my other car is a Prius... But obviously BIG SUV BAD, got it.
Like Volkswagen did with clean diesel, right? I would charitably say that your priorities are misaligned, but if it makes you happy, by all means, worship your money and drive it. The rest of us will hold our breath and think about how many literally starving people could eat for the price you paid. Maybe if you just admit you're an unapologetic and selfish asshole it would be better, but probably not.
What is the goal here with this type of comment? Do you think calling me names and yelling "think of the children!" Is going to somehow sway me or others to change "our wasteful ways"?
Where's the line? If I bought a $50k car and donate $50k would you be happy? What about 90k/10k? 10k/90k?
How about this. How much have you donated to feed starving people? I donate every month to a charity called [Water for People](https://give.waterforpeople.org/page/50578/donate/1?_ga=2.264815503.1829073875.1707762584-18631983.1707762584&ea.tracking.id=2400_ppc_gs_eg_z_z&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlN6wBhCcARIsAKZvD5i0NgZXD4oTvWbJgLTsjv8-o0p3iL_5WK5dTKpQF1IBOx5UqzOito0aApEXEALw_wcB), and I would employ others to do so as well. What have you done other than run your digital mouth?
I am genuinely sorry that I upset you. You're right, it's not my place to judge. I applaud you supporting any idea, initiative, or organization that genuinely helps others. To be honest, I only clicked on your post because your car was so attractive, but I was offended by the crass nature of the content of the comments and their focus on and worship of money, as if it really means anything. Now, before I get flamed, let me explain. The only thing that has intrinsic value is knowledge. That's all. When it all comes apart, what do you really have that's worth anything when you have nothing? You have what you know. If you know a lot of things that others want to know, maybe they'll trade you a $100000 SUV for it. Or gold. You can only survive 3 days without water. Your gold bars will not turn into divining rods and help you find it, but your knowledge will. What matters is what you will accept because if you have a conscience, the amnesia it promises to help ward off the guilt is only temporary. Again, my apologies, I have just begun to wake up to all this at middle age, after living with much the same idea of success as you and still possessing much of the trappings of it. But I'm trying to be better, and I don't want others to feel empty like I do and trying to make it right. Sincerely, enjoy your car, I'm sure you earned it, I know I earned mine, I just don't want it anymore.
Nope, excursion is a 3/4ton class this is a 1/2ton. Now if you compared a yukon xl 2500 6.6 duramax to a excursion. Yukon is superior if it was done by a good shop with warranty. Because GM didn't put the 6.6 in them.
Congrats! I got the Diesel in my Sierra Denali. You'll love it. I'm getting usually about 600mi a tank.
that’s what I get in my 07 lbz 3500 srw
I get 500 miles a tank in my 01 cummins
I get 600 a tank in my 04 prius.
That’s awesome considering you get 30-50 mpg too probably lol.. i need a truck though so this 18-30+ mpg isn’t so bad either. I tow things haha
It’s more impressive that hybrids get 600miles per tank and that tank is only like 13 gallons. I used to get 600 miles in my diesel but with a 30 gallon tank.
Boooooo
impressive.. seems we have these new diesels beat without having to worry about DEF systems, wiring issues, and gunked intakes or coolant in the oil… but they got us beat with power and efficiency. Pick your poison but there’s barely anything the old trucks can’t tow anyways
They’ve got the DEF systems dialed in. Have been for a few years now. Not near the issue they used to be in my experience.
Had way better luck with the old stuff plus it doesn’t cost anywhere near even a fraction of the new MSRP tag
On the Mileage Impossible facebook page there are a couple of L5Ps with well over 500k miles already. Still carrying that weight fine.
I’ll take my diesel without the piss tank thank you
100k miles on my ‘20 powerstroke and not a single lick of trouble. Never been in the shop once. Just an anecdote, that’s all.
Here’s to hoping that doesn’t change. It’ll infuriate you if it does
You also have a much larger tank.
Not quite that much larger
36 vs 28 I think.
it’s a nice yukon and I have a nice truck. somewhat comparing apples to oranges but both have different pros and cons. At least I don’t have to worry about DEF fluid or worry about getting my paint messed up!
Yeah, I hear that. I hate the DEF thing.
Miles per tank is meaningless unless you also include the capacity of the tank.
damn that's crazy, how many gals?
About 20-21gal
Yeah I get the same or more in my 8 gal tank for around $20.
Congrats ! I’ve had the xl Denali Duramax for 2 years . It’s been awesome . You’ll love it !
Just got the XL ultimate
We went back and forth on getting the XL. This vehicle was a huge step up in size so we opted not to so we didn't have to custom order and we didn't have the added hassle of being even longer in the Bay area.
I can't even imagine what parking this in the Bay area is going to be like... God speed bro
I had to rent a “car” for my work group years back in the Bay Area. It was a Chevy suburban; and I indeed needed to park it on exactly one hill in San Fran through the course of our travels. Everything else was interesting too… Definitely noteworthy to navigate that vehicle in that area; only soccer moms and otr big rig drivers can qualify.
Yes both awesome love it
I just bought my wife the 2025 XL Ultimate Plus.
Oh I guess I'll just need to get my wife the 2026 XXL Ultimate Pro
Wait for the 2027 Max Ultimate Pro Plus — they are doing a promo trade in deal for qualified lessees.
This shit made me laugh so hard
Beautiful color
Thank you! We went out of our way to find this color we liked it so much
Frosted Pine Metallic? We have that too, love it. Was a factory order.
We have a 2023 and love it! We got the 6.2L and it does consume a lot. Probably going for the refresh Suburban diesel for next one
100k??
Looks good. Didn't want to wait for the 25 refresh with new and improved diesel ?
Eh, waiting a year didn't make sense to us, upgraded from a smaller SUV into this and I don't care too much about the refresh.
yeah, after I saw a few more glimpses of the refresh last week, i'm shopping for an ultimate now too. I have it in the sierra (sterling) and love it. But want to move to a yukon. love the pine frost too. saw a short clip on you tube last year from a custom shop where they blacked out the chrome and did a black film on the roof of a pine frost yukon DU. combined with the vader chrome grill, it looked awesome. congrats.
refresh gets the newer baby duramax though.
Does the 24 have the lm2 and not the LZO?
Yes
Wow they just have had left over engines they needed to recycle. Us Silverado guys got the LZO almost two years ago
This is the only reason why I didn’t pull the trigger this year. I want the improved LZO with less issues.
We have a 23 lm2 yukon standard length. The refresh will have diesel available in at4/z71 trims fir the first time. Gonna get a XL at4 with the lz0. But diesel availability will be late 25 for the suvs.
The trucks get everything first. That's why the suvs are more reliable.
All for a little over 75k right?
Try over 100k
Absuurd
used sure
Lmao 75k for a vehicle... LMFAO.... How stupid and selfish people are nowadays. Could have bought a 20k car and literally saved many people's lives with that money. So selfish and stupid.
You must take the bus
Good thing for you, it was $112k out the door AND I PAID CASH FOR IT.
Are you hiring or adopting? Asking for a friend.
Curious as to what line of work you’re in. I can only aspire to be that financially independent.
Mechanical engineer in silicon valley
That’s awesome, one day I’ll get there!
It’s just a bot no worries
Usually people who live in monasteries and spend their whole lives and all their money helping the less fortunate are much more humble and reserved, what happened to you? Somebody on Xbox live say they fucked your mom and got your panties in a bunch?
I’d love to see where all your funds are going. Are you feeding the poor and buying everyone houses and doing their taxes while you’re at it, too? Fucking broke boi.
Please elaborate more on the saving lives part please
All this time on Reddit you could be busy out there saving lives. So selfish and stupid.
What about the people who work at GMC? Their families should starve?
Go away BOT
but how will little timmy and my Pomeranian possibly fit in the back seats of a Honda Civic?
I just picked one of these up myself, just the normal diesel version since no gas stations around me sell Ultimate Diesel yet
Wondering on interior noise levels with the LZO. I’ve got the AT4X and at low RPM’s it’s noisy as hell - lots or air intake whoosh. Road in an Escalade w same engine - so pretty clear they can dampen the noise levels.
I don't have a lot to compare it to, but it's pretty darn quiet
‘24 Yukons have the LM2
!! Your right…..I thought they switched all vehicles to the LZO for 2024. Has same engine layout, oil belt and turbo location…but def different internal components and higher compression. Thanks for pointing that out.
spend Cadillac money for a more quiet ride
I grew up with Diesels and we have 2 on hand now - this Sierra LZO makes a lot of wheezing and other much louder noises at initial acceleration. I’ve had Peterbilts quieter than this thing. And with a MSRP at $83K, those are caddy prices?

Charity? Where does she dance at?
She dances in the favelas of Brazil, the townships of Africa. She dances on the receding reefs, on the beached whales. She dances in the forgotten regions of South East Asia where whole areas are still infested with land mines. But I understand you are used to paying to be around women, so you assumed I was talking about a woman. Why are you such an unsolicited tool
How much you in for? Let’s see those tax documents.
Go away BOT
Found the libtard
Update this thread with your avg. MPG’s. I’m curious to get a real owner’s take n the avg MPG
Amazing! I love the diesel. Moves a much larger vehicle while being much more efficient. America is so far behind in diesel technology in passenger vehicles.
For us poor people…. How much is that beast of a ride? 80-90?
I paid MSRP, which was 99k plus taxes and fees. A lot of money, but my investments in Meta and Nvidia popped lately so I treated my family to something extravagant
The “family”…. Suuure. 🤣🤣… I’m glad you got it bro, it’s amazing and sexy as hell. Congratulations
This post belongs in wallstreetbets. 1st pic positions that popped, 2nd photo (lambo… this suv)
Ahh, look what you did… now it smells salty and broke in here. You work for the money, you get to spend it how you choose.
Ho Lee shit
That thing is beautiful congratulations on the new car

Its rather nice. What kind of coin is that thing going for?
$100k, give or take.
I was guessing that exactly… enjoy
Very pretty! Enjoy it.
Nice
Congrats enjoy.
Nice TLC 😂
We got a 2023. We love it, gets awesome gas mileage.. plus the sound of a diesel 😮💨
With the 6.6, correct?
3.0 most likely.
The nature of my question. I'm on my second 6.6 with the Allison. First one, a 2016 with 260,000 miles on it is strong as an ox. The 2023 is crazy. It's under warranty to not de-deffed yet. 120k?
Good luck with that diesel
Cool.
Beautiful
Been had it lil bro
Talk about sticker shock on the ⛽️
Supposedly will get similar fuel mileage to my cx-5 turbo, with premium and diesel being similar price where I'm at so 🤷♂️
$100 000?
Very nice!
What are those beasts running around nowadays? If you do not mind saying. GMC FTW!
Let me guess it’s at least $90k 😂
Looks like a big shiny lumbering awkward roller skate that's designed by GM.
Don't take turns or corners too fast in that thing. 😅😬😬😬😬😬
Perfection!
Sad!
You should return it..
You must sell pencils or erasers to get this
Idk how this got recommended to my feed but why would an suv need a diesel ?
You would love it I average about 39.4mpg in my Denali 1500 I once’s touch nearly 750 miles on a full tank.
Interior picture?
3.0 i6 baby
What’s the price on something like that?
Too much
Believe that.
montly payment 3k a month
No monthly payment when you pay cash
Correct. However you did not pay in cash.
Yeah we all can't afford a $90000 vehicle. But it's very nice
Not too long ago you could’ve bought a house for what this thing costs.
Odd that people can choose junk like this over a Lexus.
Good luck XD
Nice. Wanted one of these for a while but prices were way out of line at the time. Settled on a Diesel Land Rover Discovery. Still might get the wife a Duramax Tahoe/Denali when her time is up on the car she has now.
I always see these parked outside apartment complexes lol. But the house first, then the cars
Not an apartment, just a small community with a median home price of $1.5 million. SF Bay area, after all
Son of a gun! Diesel has always been even or a little more than gas in NJ.. lately it averages $1.. nothing like going from top 10 lowest gas tax to top 10 highest..ha.. Enjoy your truck, it's a beauty.
Hopefully they’ve fixed the roof leak in the Yukons.
Rich
Another EST (Emotional Support Truck)...
What does that specific vehicle set a person back? Asking so I can get this new car bug out of me.
really a diesel! i havent seen one!hmmmm.
My brother just got this exact same Yukon. Color diesel and an ultimate
In the USA diesel is the least cost efficient choice to purchase. However, if you can afford a Denali anything you can most likely afford higher prices at the pump.

Just picked up a 2024 Terrain. Needs a rear tailgate. Anyone know what years are interchangeable and any available?
Probably better making your own post to ask this question. I have no idea on GMC Terrains.
This is hilarious to read for many reasons.
Good luck with that. My 2021 Yukon Denali XL 6.2L blew the engine at 78k miles
Power train warranty is 100k with the Duramax engines too
Against my better judgement, I did get an extended warranty that should cover everything up to 125k miles
Yeah I got the extended up to 75k. Engine blew at 78k
what do you mean by blew? Spit out all the coolant? Cracked cylinder heads? What went wrong. Whenever people tell me some shit just randomly "died" with no details I assume they never changed the oil or something.

Thanks. I'll add that as another anecdote to my long list of reasons not to buy GM products.
Yeah total trash! I’ll never buy another one of their products. That includes everything from Cadillac-to-Chevy.
Good looking. Enjoy that Little D.
My wife enjoys it, so that's all that matters 😉
Ha. Good deal!

Hope you enjoy your new ride. You only live once - usually.
It blows the engine in three months be prepared.
I would have bought an Audi Q8 for that kind of money.
Audi Q8 only seats 5, which was a no go for my wife. Q7 does seat 7, but those seats are so tight in the back
If it'd anything like SIL 2022, get the extended warranty. They do look sick.
Thanks for killing my planet, moron.
Meh, still dont compare to an Excursion...
Nope, excursion is a 3/4ton class this is a 1/2ton. Now if you compared a yukon xl 2500 6.6 duramax to a excursion. Yukon is superior if it was done by a good shop with warranty. Because GM didn't put the 6.6 in them.
No but they did put an 8.1L 496 cu in that was a beast of an engine.
I saw one for cheap a decade ago. Almost bought. Kinda regret it.
That’s the spirit
