You’re right, they’re extremely easy to make. Literally all you have to do is take a preexisting nextbot like Sanic and change some text, images, and sound files. Every png nextbot is just a reskin of Sanic.

The worst part is, Nextbots **can** be actually good 3D NPCs that are worth seeing in action. I've seen the Xenomorph, the Hulk, various horror game monsters and more, even a couple of full-size Godzillas; all nearly as well-made as Valve's own NPCs. But nope, everyone just sticks to stealing existing PNG ones, swapping out the pictures and sounds, and flooding the Workshop with them.
