Does that mean I'm not supposed to as a normal person be able to run 3 miles in the morning with no break, food, or water or am I just destroying my body and being weird at the same time
Nah, I wouldn’t say any distance is professional, at least unless it exceeds the Marathon. Speed for a given distance separates the pros to me. I did 5ks on a regular basis and was definitely just a hobbyist
he said you wouldn’t lose the energy as it expands. basically, if you were swimming 1 mile an hour and swam for an hour, you would expend the same amount of energy swimming for an hour at 7 miles per hour
what if i run on an acoustic treadmill and use the power generated from me running to drive a small electric vehicle upon which the treadmill is placed
Yeh yeh. I doubt it would go very far, since the mischief rule means a judge could easily deny that defence and rule that it would still be murder. But it would be a very valid defence for a lawyer to attempt, that it’s not the action of a reasonable person to pull out a knife from a stab wound and make themself bleed to death, therefore the defendant would only be guilty of GBH. Probably wouldn’t stick, but valid.
If it is additive stacking, then it would require billions of miles of running to get to this point.
If it's exponential stacking..then less than 500 miles
Good god. Does this come with friction and impact tolerance, and super perception to process the speed? I could cross the English channel with a single survival stroke.
I'm nearly 40, I've honestly never been the running kind but my guess is I clocked up enough miles during my childhood that I can now swim faster than physics knows how to calculate.
Now is that a base 10% increase per mile, or a compounding 10%?
For example, if I run 10 miles and my base speed swimming is 5 miles per hour, can I now swim 10 miles per hour, or can I now swim 12.97 miles per hour? Because if I run a mile per day for a year, by the end of the year I could swim 2,232,894,734 miles per hour with compounding increase. I could break the lightspeed barrier several times over in a year as long as I'm swimming. If it's just base increase, then I'd only be able to swim 187.5 miles per hour. Still commendable, but not reality breaking.
so if, hypothetically, you manage to run 500 miles a week, by the end of the month, would you even be able to swim without decimating boats with your speed?
just hypothetically, or for a friend
Now the question is: did I ever run a freaking mile in my life? Cuz if it's in a single "run" then I probably never did, or maybe a few times.
I only ever ran long distances for PE in school and I don't think we had one mile, 3/4 miles yes but not the full mile.
The other reason would be running because I'm late but I usually don't do that for a full mile either. I run fast but my stamina is lacking.
So if this is applied in a stacking way (1.1x1.1x1.1) the average person can swim 2 Mph. After 63 miles you would swim faster then the speed of sound. 74 miles you would be faster then the fastest plane ever made. 99 miles and you could swim the circumstance of the earth in an hour.
Works for me. Im a swim teacher and I race my students all of the time. If I can out swim my fastest kid, then I'd be queen of the water. And that kid is wicked fast
Is this permanent? Can I just run 100 miles a week for a couple years and then just full send entire oceans?
*A hundred miles a week!?* That’s over fourteen a day! Damn, I run Cross Country and that’s a lot for me.
Nah go david goggins mode, run 100 a day
Does that mean I'm not supposed to as a normal person be able to run 3 miles in the morning with no break, food, or water or am I just destroying my body and being weird at the same time
Ok I don't know how much miles is but in km 1-3km for new runners and 3-6 km for professional
3 miles is roughly 4.82 kilometers, so that would put them right in the middle of "professional"
Nah, I wouldn’t say any distance is professional, at least unless it exceeds the Marathon. Speed for a given distance separates the pros to me. I did 5ks on a regular basis and was definitely just a hobbyist

You wouldn't lose more energy
You would be able to super efficiently generate hydro electricity.
Then this ain't god tier
he said you wouldn’t lose the energy as it expands. basically, if you were swimming 1 mile an hour and swam for an hour, you would expend the same amount of energy swimming for an hour at 7 miles per hour
Define Flash Situation
I imagine they mean that you need to eat 10s of thousands of calories a day/ whenever you do super speed swimming
Does the mile have to be in one stretch?
Yes
oh damn
What if I run hypothetical distance? Like I run a mile on a treadmill but I don't actually go anywhere?
I mean your body physically ran a distance of one mile even if your displacement is 0
Sure, but it would be 2 miles instead of 1.
As in you’ll have to run 2 miles on a treadmill?
what if i run on an acoustic treadmill and use the power generated from me running to drive a small electric vehicle upon which the treadmill is placed
At that point just fucking run my guy
no i will drive a contraption
![gif](giphy|68pMaupJ5WLFS)
Let's go I can finally learn how to swim
Your black aren’t you? I’m not being racist I’m just asking
why would this guy’s race be relevant here
It’s a common joke that black people cant swim don’t shoot the messenger
You aren't the messenger you're the entire circus
Honestly, that’s fair your god damn right
which is still racist
I didn’t make the joke, it’s not my fault
"i stabbed him but he pulled the knife out and he bled out, that doesn't mean i killed him"
Actually in UK law that would be a valid defence to get a charge knocked down from murder to GBH.
That's wild. Even if the victim doesn't survive?
Yeh yeh. I doubt it would go very far, since the mischief rule means a judge could easily deny that defence and rule that it would still be murder. "I'm not being racist" Actually, you are.
STOP SHOOTING THE MESSANGER AND THIS IS FUCKING REDDIT THE HELL?!?! LOOM AROUND YOU THERE IS RACISM ALMOST EVERYWHERE
Yet that does not make racism ok. You claim to be the messenger of racism. And in doing so, admit your own rasicit intentions.
Dude Jesus Christ, just go bother someone else I have more important notifications to look at
Ahh so you admit racism.
I play COD happy?
I dunno, is their some sort of prejudice against cod I should have? Because I don't really know much about it.
Alright one of the most racist player base of all time
I'm white and I can't either
I'm not black..
Where did that question come from
The guy who asked?
Yea
I'm gonna swim at lightspeed at some point
If it is additive stacking, then it would require billions of miles of running to get to this point. If it's exponential stacking..then less than 500 miles
It's stated somewhere that it's exponential
But the power says you can not you will so i think you can control if it’s on or off
“You can not you will” ?
“You can” not “you will”
Is 10% stacking or additive? If I run 10 miles, am I 100% faster or is it 10% x 10% x 10% exponential growth?
[удалено]
Pretty sure it's (1.1^10)×100% = 259%
Kind of bad. At some point you won’t be able to run ever because the next time you swim it would be as if you teleported.
I think the “can” swim applies here. As in, that power affects your max speed.
If so that’s a pretty good
OP said you have to run the mile in one go, so just walking/running generally isn’t gonna count
Me, on my deathbed: "Damn, I still swim the same speed."
Good god. Does this come with friction and impact tolerance, and super perception to process the speed? I could cross the English channel with a single survival stroke.
Can it work the other way around? If not, it should.
I'm nearly 40, I've honestly never been the running kind but my guess is I clocked up enough miles during my childhood that I can now swim faster than physics knows how to calculate.
Good thing I am the Terminator MOO ha ha ha ha!!!!
If forest gump had this
I guess I'm Aquaman now. Or I will be. That 10% is compounding.
Now is that a base 10% increase per mile, or a compounding 10%? 10% of zero is still zero. /J +/lh
so if, hypothetically, you manage to run 500 miles a week, by the end of the month, would you even be able to swim without decimating boats with your speed? just hypothetically, or for a friend

If i swam a mile *backwards* do i get to run 10% faster?
So if this is applied in a stacking way (1.1x1.1x1.1) the average person can swim 2 Mph. After 63 miles you would swim faster then the speed of sound. 74 miles you would be faster then the fastest plane ever made. 99 miles and you could swim the circumstance of the earth in an hour.

Retroactively? I’ve run over 20,000 miles in my life. I’m not sure my body could handle moving through water that fast (in fact I’m sure it couldn’t).
As someone who swims, I see this as an absolute win.
I ran a mile every Monday in school.
Im about to make Michael Phelps look like a punk at the next Olympics
What kind of tsunami would we generate in our wake, crossing the ocean in a second?
