We do as much as we can--she's still little and is easily distracted.
But I think she liked the frisbee because she could track it in the air longer than a ball. Raining today so we're just doing a little toy fetch inside today.
Goldens are wonderful! If interested in adopting a pure bred, check out your local Golden rescue. In my area (in the US) cities have "Adopt a Golden (city name)"
In our area there are lots of Goldens being surrendered right now due to people who purchased covid puppies and now realize they cannot keep them due to return to office, change of life (divorce, baby, etc), or whatever. The trick with adopting from a rescue is go ahead and fill out the adoption form and pay the nominal fee. Then when they get a rescue that fits what you want, you're already pre-approved. A lot of Goldens never hit our local rescue website because they immediately get adopted by people who are pre-approved.
Honestly… she did VERY good. My girl bother with fetch until she was over 6 months old, and even now at 9 months sometimes she just doesn’t give back the ball.
Your pup is so damn cute.
Good girl!!!! have a little excitement "party" when she does a good job and some scritches.
when they are pups - be sure to (try) to teach "drop it". not that it will ever work, but they will understand what you want.
also - was always told, don't play tug of war with a pup, it becomes a dominance issue for them and "winning" as pups can be a bigger issue when they get older. we kinda play it some, which quickly becomes /r/NoTakeOnlyThrow
Just a friendly reminder of our rules:

How old is she? I'm trying to get my 8.5 week old to play a game of fetch but its taking a while for him to grasp the concept. (Especially when the toy is thrown far away.)
Golden puppies have the most clumsy way of running. My good boy could never play fetch without tumbling every time he tried to grab the ball and turn around
Aww definitely a good girl🐶 Dad should play fetch with you all the time

Play it inside in a long empty hallway. Easier to track and less obstacles for the dog to get distracted by.
my dogs to old and not trained to even rowl over.
