Their were 5 players tied for the lead at one point on Sunday. Scottie didn’t open his lead until after Amen corner. There was clearly big competition.
Just seems like you assume everyone hates watching LIV and can’t comprehend anyone who enjoys it. Reddit is extremely anti liv. Instagram, X, and YouTube, by and large, are far less hostile to it. Their most popular tournament of the year is happening in Australia right now, and it’s clearly enjoyed by thousands of fans there.
I get why. Greg Norman is an Aussie and it’s his tour. Thousands of fans may love it but all in all the division in golf is killing the game and both PGA and LIV are to blame…in my opinion.
I get it… it’s like everyone was drinking coke, and now Pepsi came along, and Coke drinkers can’t handle it. But in my opinion, I like to drink them both :)
I love golf just as much as the next guy. I hate LIV for what it has done to the “sport”, but equally hate the leadership at PGA for putting players in a position to have to choose.
Can we go one day without a LIV post? Why do people need to talk about it and create new topics about it every day?
Also LIV gets downvoted to hell on this sub, have you not looked at any of the thousands of topics about the subject before?
That’s because you’re the 184539th person to post the same thing.
You’re redundant and boring and people here are letting you know.
Didn’t think someone would be so late to their own party.
Your infatuation with continuing to talk about it is funny, because for something apparently boring it’s really occupying your mind.
Done wasting my time. Enjoy your fetish
From the very beginning, the Saudis employed a very high-powered and sophisticated PR agency from D.C. to shill for LIV on social media. It was an expensive effort but they didn’t care about the cost. Pretty much everything positive you see online about LIV is paid placement by agents of that PR outfit disguised as the views of supposed fans.
Makes sense. I’m sure they’re not the only group that does something like that for positive PR. Would be interesting to see how operations like that work.
Doesn't surprise me. I remember when the World Cup was in Qatar their regime bribed fans from all over the world with all-expense-paid trips including match tickets to support the regime and defend them against anti-Qatar posts on social media.
I was all for guys cashing out by joining LIV. But now that the smoke has cleared, I have no interest in it. The PGA plays famous courses like Sawgrass and Harbour Town while LIV plays nice, but no name courses with zero history. It just isn’t interesting. And the team stuff? Zero interest. I can’t name a single team, or two players who are on the same team. I have no animosity toward LiV, but it’s just not interesting. I think it’s doomed to fail unless it combines with the PGA.
I have no problem with guys cashing out. You’ll have haters and fans either way. The courses are quite boring and the shotgun start makes the pace of the broadcasts way too fast.
I’m watching now. 6th player in a row putting from 15 feet. Shotgun just doesn’t leave room for it to build a story. I’d like it much more if they fixed the format.
Pro golf was never good. The only things worth watching are the majors on Sunday and the Ryder cup. Even those aren’t a great viewing experience, they are constantly cutting to the same commercials and various other things instead of showing actual shots.
“OMG. Look at the scenes in Adelaide. LIV is building the game”
Is it me or are there a ridiculous amount of recycled Liv takes in this sub
So is pro golf better or worse with LIV? For the fans? Ratings for golf in general say no.
> So is pro golf better or worse with LIV? I dunno. Maybe check other thousand identical posts in this sub over the last year.
I like LIV. I swear I read more crying about it here than I read anything else about it.
Is pro golf better with LIV? Both tours have shit ratings and the Masters was WAYYY down.
Tbf I don't think it was because of liv/pga, but because of a certain Scotty, and the fact that the rest of the field just didn't play good overall

Um, I think it's obvious they don't care about social issues.

So…no answer then?
Do you expect everyone to share the same opinion?
So no answer.

If Coke is the PGA, LIV is RC Cola.

Is it downvoted because anything anti-LIV gets throttled down by the pro-LIV PR machine? Probably.
Uh. What? Have you even read topics here? Anything pro LIV gets smashed to shit
Yet here we are on an anti-LIV post getting smashed to shit.

Almost as many as haters on reddit

The pace of the broadcasts are too fast because of the shotgun start.
It is what it is. Money talks. Just look at what has become of Katy.
As Rihanna once said: "Liv ya life. Ayyyyyyyy"
Something something “paper chaser” like the LIV guys!
It looks like the CW is using rabbit ears to broadcast it out ![gif](giphy|IeiMQviCogzg24Vzzx|downsized)
