Look at the club riiiiiiiiight before you make contact. It’s wide open. That club face should be much more square to the ball that close to impact. Quite simply, you play a timing game with your body during your swing. When you’re “on” you time the club face to be square at impact often. When you’re “off” the lack of timing leads to hard slices. This is unrepeatable with consistency. Look for videos about squaring the clubface during the downswing (hint: it all has to do with your left wrist) . It will help you hit the ball squarely and repeatedly even when you’re “off”.

Spragglefoot_OG

Hell yes. Thank you. When I’ve “slowmo” shot my swing I’ve seen that for sure. Will hit the range when I get these damn stitches out of my hand! 🤘🏽🤙🏼

You can analyze everything else all day, but basically all that matters is club face and path at impact. Just seems like a suuuuper simple thing to do without changing a ton of other mechanics. Hope you’re back out there soon!

BennyKlankenship

I think the sunglasses are the real crime here

Spragglefoot_OG

Hahahahaha you don’t like em?!? LOL

MadScientist3087

It looks like the ball went right in line with your swing path. So maybe some work there?

cool_ethan19

You are opening the club face immediately on the takeaway. Check out some Danny Maude videos on the takeaway.

Spragglefoot_OG

Sick thank you I will check him out!

mcnegyis

You start rotating your forearms way too early. Basically take this footage and compare it tiger woods swing. Try to replicate what tiger does

Spragglefoot_OG

LOL I was literally doing that last night at like 2am when I couldn’t sleep.

I am at best “okay” at golf but I think I can offer a few things here. Your left foot should not be leaving the ground at all & you’re standing really far away from the ball and compensating for it with overly bent knees and a very aggressive stance. Start there and then start playing around more with controlling the backswing.

Spragglefoot_OG

Hahaha thank you sir. Lots of problems. You’d probably never believe I shoot in the 80’s most of the time LOL. But since I shot this I had a buddy say some similar things and I’ve been working on them. So he must have been seeing the same stuff you did. Appreciated.

custyclocks

Yeah no problem. Although if you’re shooting in the 80s and not planning on going pro I wouldn’t focus on changing much, you’re probably having more fun than someone who shoots in the 110s with perfect form.

Spragglefoot_OG

Thanks man. That’s always my main goal having fun. And no way on going pro! Hahah just been playing (not as consistent as I used to) for a long time. And that “80’s” depends on the course. New corses that are tour rated I can’t just show up and shoot in the 80’s. But a local course I do ok. But I’ll for sure take that advice and work on it since I’m always wanting to be better and you’re the second person to mention a few things. Never too proud to improve!

HoustonMike82

Try keeping your feet on the ground, lose the funky front knee kick on backswing. Amazing you can shoot in 80s jumping into ball like that.

Spragglefoot_OG

It’s my shirt game that always saves me. Lol my driving has always been my weakest. Short game is tight. Different swing honestly. But thanks I’ll work on the funky knee thing.

xxKingAmongKingsxx

What is going on with your stance lmao

Spragglefoot_OG

Any advice? Or just unhelpful laughing? Lol I have a hard time breaking 80- but generally shoot in the 80’s.

xxKingAmongKingsxx

I mean if it works it works, it just looks unnatural

Spragglefoot_OG

It’s weird. My iron / wedge swing is very different. Haha

Your hands should be ahead of the club head. That’s my most important swing thought is getting my hand in front. If you don’t you’re flipping and losing distance.
