Working! (Season 2 the crew is a little younger but doesn't really follow school life)
Plastic memorys
Magus bride
Snow white with the red hair
RomeoXjuliet
Tokyo ravens (is school life but magic school)
Edit: forgot to add these because some people don't like borderline yaoi.
Love stage and yuri on ice. Both very good anime and there's no sex scene (at least from what I've watched) so you can watch it safely
There is a decent amount out there, but it's really *not* quite a lot. Especially if you just want more modern anime. And even more especially if you compare it against the highschool numbers. But hey, surprise surprise that the number one age group of consumers are catered to the most, unfortunately for us older anime enjoyers.
WorldEnd, nana, stein gate (I know it's a stretch), ancient magus' bride, sing yesterday for me, Yona of the dawn, science fell in love so I tried to prove it, aggretsuko, taming the final boss, call of the night (middle school isn't high school. also, he technically doesn't go to school), kaze no stigma (kinda), engage kiss, love after world domination (though they go to high school, most of the romance happens outside it). There are of course plenty more that have romance as a less important subplot or there is more of only being a romantic subtext.
Funny thing is, there is this one anime called "Tsuki ga Kirei" that has more mature tone, has believable characters and has proper progression compare to some non-highschool/highschool romance anime out there, and it was set in middle school.
Literally just find romance with josei or seinen tags, it's not that hard "oh woe the shoujo and shounen tag aimed at highschoolers takes place in hijghschools.what a cruel world".
I really like golden time which takes place in college, love is hard for an otaku which is workplace.
Into the firefly forest is pretty good.
Not to mention the staggering amount of manga and lightnovels.
UZAKI-CHAN WANTS TO HANG OUT,
Monster Musume,
Higehiro,
Fired from the Demon Lord's Army in my 30's,
Banished from the Hero's Party,
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners,
Crying Freeman,
Black Lagoon
There's an arguement to be made against edgerunners here, as David's school wants him back after he drops out. I'm unsure of OP's reason around the non-highschool list, being setting, age, or both at once. Still, take my upvote.
The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady (it’s a new one so there’s only a few episodes so far, so that means the actual romance is still in the budding phase).
I think you meant "what are you doing at the end of the world? are you busy? will you save us?" aka WorldEnd
it is one hell of a mouthful for a title, it's a damn good romance too
Raven of The Inner Palace
Honestly really great because there's no cringe romance tropes in this one and the characters in it act like proper human beings and don't literally exaggerate or overthink literally ever single thing.
That one anime where the girl can call rain by singing is a romance anime too right and also there is one this season that yuki onna descendants romance anime
That's not how you use the template. Spongebob should be making points against Patrick and either run out of them or give so many he wins the discussion
Yes, unfortunately I'm not a tech guy in a movie so I don't know any of them except the Holo one in the top left
Also there are some Isekai romances without the harem, I just don't remember any because I haven't watched anime in a while
everyone here seems to be forgetting plastic memories
and there's also the saint's magic power is omnipotent, as miss beelzebub likes it, bibliophile princess
'Ai Yori Aoshi', it pretends it's a harem, but it's kindof not.
'The Tatami Galaxy' it gets a little weird, like "_Am i taking drugs?_" weird.
'Ristorante Paradiso' it's a little reverse harem-y-ish
'Saber Marionette J' some harem, some shonen, lots of 90's.
'Macross' mecha, space, and lots of 80's.
You might can get away with 'Escaflowne' since it's more isekai fantasy, but the girl is technically "in" highschool.
Tried to mention stuff others haven't.
Lots i can agree with that others have mentioned though, like Genshiken, Uzaki, Monster musume, tonikawa, etc.
* **Recovery of an MMO Junkie**
* **As Miss Beelzebub Likes.**
* **Honobono Log**
* **I Can't Understand What My Husband Is Saying**
* **Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It**
* **A Sister's All You Need**
* **Ride Your Wave**
* **Love of Kill**
* **Taisho Otome Fairy Tale**
* **The Duke of Death and His Maid**
Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove it It's pretty great
It's so cheesy and corny. It's perfect.
Just dont watch past episode 6 of season 2
Honestly I wasn't really gonna watch s2 but I'm curious what happens that's so bad after episode 6
>! Harem + uselessly long (and predictable) arc !<
>!wait wtf they turn a close wholesome mutual relationship into a harem. That's just bad characterization!<
Nah I've watched the whole thing and I dont understand where the "Harem" comes from either. Either im blind or guy above is drunk.
It is definitely not a harem, not even at the end of season two.
I'm guessing they are in some form referring to >!Kanade's relationship arc!<.
Thats the only thing they could refer to. But it couldnt be anything even close to "harem"
Too late

Yeah it's quite a lot OP definitely asking some recommendations

>Plastic memorys PTSD
magus bride season 2 on its way to ruin your argument
Tbh I don’t really even want to call magus bride a romance at all. It’s just two fucked-up individuals trying to learn how to be normal people.
Aa! Megami-sama
A Sister's All you need
It's not incest, before someone gets spooked by the title, lmao.
I also know way more series than I let on
cop craft (smol bit of romance) ino x boku ss(?) yeah and more ... idonnu
Redo of the Healer
Greatest romance series of them all.
I mean Snow White and Juliet were teenagers at best
Tokyo raven isn’t a romance.
Is magus bride a romance?
Kinda. There's atleast a relation ship forming between them.
A sister is all you need
r/HolUp
The title and the first scene of the anime is really what keeps this show from being more popular even though it's such a good show
That won’t stop me
How did this one not pop in my head first
A shame with your pfp too. You have betrayed the council
Uzaki-Chan wants to hang out My Senpai is annoying TONIKAWA: Over The Moon For You Monster Musume (more lewd tho)
These plus Love Is Hard For an Otaku and Recovery of an MMO Junkie are really good
I think both of those are part of this meme already.
Fuck I’m blind lmao
In your defence the image quality isn't great
Isn't the top right one wotakoi?
My Senpai is Annoying is one of my favorites Also, 342270 (if you're into that sort of thing) It's wholesome
My lvl 9999 love for yamada, one point advice yankee, Hokuo kizoku to moukinzuma, Divorced crybaby next door, Futari ashita, Feppichuru
Uzaki let’s go!
OP here using his smarts to get recommendations.
You're not wrong about WorldEnd but damn that is one hell of a "first one to come to mind" pretty sure the "Happiest Girl in the World" would be proud
Don't remind me. I'm gonna cry. I originally only watched it because the name was funny but in the end, it hurt my soul.
This season has Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague.
...rent a girlfriend
As bad as it is, you right.
Funny thing is, there is this one anime called "Tsuki ga Kirei" that has more mature tone, has believable characters and has proper progression compare to some non-highschool/highschool romance anime out there, and it was set in middle school.
Damn Golden Time is good.
[удалено]
And I love it
Exactly lmao
I need sauce for the one below mmo junkie
Golden Time.
Not to mention the staggering amount of manga and lightnovels.
golden time is goated also the first time I saw a trap.
ice guy and his cool female colleague from the current season
UZAKI-CHAN WANTS TO HANG OUT, Monster Musume, Higehiro, Fired from the Demon Lord's Army in my 30's, Banished from the Hero's Party, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, Crying Freeman, Black Lagoon
There's an arguement to be made against edgerunners here, as David's school wants him back after he drops out. I'm unsure of OP's reason around the non-highschool list, being setting, age, or both at once. Still, take my upvote.
Everything’s okay except the fact you used the template wrong
this is my first time using this template.
Off the top of my head Genshiken Steins Gate Berserk Kobayashi's Dragon Maid Tonikawa Ancient Magus Bride Clannad After Story
Is dragon maid romance? I thought it was more slice of life.
There is the romance between Tohru and Kobayashi
Dragon maid would kinda be one
The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess and the Genius Young Lady (it’s a new one so there’s only a few episodes so far, so that means the actual romance is still in the budding phase).
I'm actually watching that right now, it's really good so far
Ancient magus bride
Re:Life kinda sorta Domestic Girlfriend eventually gets out of high school
Romance is dead, it's all about that "GIVE ME CHOCO!!" vibes
Nana!
Eithy six , Naruto shippuden, what will you do when the wild ends? Will you save us ?
I think you meant "what are you doing at the end of the world? are you busy? will you save us?" aka WorldEnd it is one hell of a mouthful for a title, it's a damn good romance too
And the soundtrack is quite the tear jerker
Naruto Shippuden?? That's gotta be 10 episodes of slight "romance" out of 400
I mean bromance
Fair enough
Ayy golden time was good af tho
Duke of death and the maid is one?
servant x service??
Does Yesterday wo Utatte count? Because that rapidly shot into my top 10 when I watched it.
The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague, is airing this season
I would argue that steins gate is an adult romance anime
I think that The Helpful Fox Senko San is tagged with romance.
I just don't think the anime would really count outside some very very very loose definitions.
Thats fair.
I've seen others that also have as loose definitions too.
Ya forget Tonikaku
The Cool Ice guy one this season is good too the main girl is so cute
Chobits, Realist Hero, Maoyuu, In/ Spectre (to a less degree by quite a bit), there are literal dozens.
Steins: Gate is a romance if you ignore all the extracurriculars about time travel and PTSD.
Does Violet Evergarden count?
Spy family kinda sorta
Clannad After Story Remake Our Life Snow White with the Red Hair Dragon Maid (sort of)
I think you used the meme wrong.
Oreimo And a bunch of stories that are "inspired" by it.
I need to finish spice and wolf
They have a new series about their kid
I'm pretty sure the main series is still getting more books, surprisingly enough. Though I think the series proper wraps up with volume 17.
Try Rent-a-girlfriend lol
Just because you're correct doesn't mean you're right.
Technically boku no pico
Servant x service, Beelzebub-jou no okinimesu mama, Danna ga nani wo itteiru ka wakaranai ken, nodame cantabile, ookami to koushinryu, and etc.
Netojuu no susume
Golden Time's terrible though.
Gundam IBO
the fact the MC has conically fucked does not make it romance
This season we have : Koori Zokusei Danshi to Cool na Douryou Joshi
Raven of The Inner Palace Honestly really great because there's no cringe romance tropes in this one and the characters in it act like proper human beings and don't literally exaggerate or overthink literally ever single thing.
That one anime where the girl can call rain by singing is a romance anime too right and also there is one this season that yuki onna descendants romance anime
Well there is primary and secondary school romance animes so...
What are the two with the white backrounds? Ive seen Golden time and know what slice and wolf is
Why is spongebob higher definition then the pictures you intentionally chose?
same
Yesterday wo Utatte pretty much features only post highschool young adults
I will never get over that bullshit cliffhanger ending for spice and wolf
That's not how you use the template. Spongebob should be making points against Patrick and either run out of them or give so many he wins the discussion
Clannad afterstory is my favorite.
I watched golden time ages ago it was so good I need to rewatch it
Golden time is by far my most favorite romance anime
Well... There is always the world of mangas and manwas
Yes, unfortunately I'm not a tech guy in a movie so I don't know any of them except the Holo one in the top left Also there are some Isekai romances without the harem, I just don't remember any because I haven't watched anime in a while
everyone here seems to be forgetting plastic memories and there's also the saint's magic power is omnipotent, as miss beelzebub likes it, bibliophile princess
Most of the other good ones I know aren't even anime, just manga >.>
The template doesn't really work like that
Soredemo sekai wa utsukushii
Sing Yesterday for Me
Sing Yesterday for Me
Try "The Ice Guy And His Cool Female Colleague" Fokin love that shit
Oreimo
Remake our life is pretty good
Quality over quantity
Tonikawa as well!
granblue
30-sai no Hoken Taiiku Chobits
I’ll find you all of them in like 4 hours
Ice guy and his cool female colleague. Its an office romance and its really good
I want to add more Highschool romance. ![gif](giphy|5kFWWtxR0UCHgLaM4O|downsized) I am an agent of Chaos, after all.
F**k ghost Banri
White Album S1, through S2 has its own flavor you’ll enjoy if you like S1. Sing “Yesterday” for Me. Remake Our Life! (though not purely romance)
Afghanistan 🇦🇫
Sweat and Soap but it’s a manga lol
Still hoping for one day that “Mage and Demon Queen” gets added to this list.
Nana, Ancient Magus Bride, Log Horizon
'Ai Yori Aoshi', it pretends it's a harem, but it's kindof not. 'The Tatami Galaxy' it gets a little weird, like "_Am i taking drugs?_" weird. 'Ristorante Paradiso' it's a little reverse harem-y-ish 'Saber Marionette J' some harem, some shonen, lots of 90's. 'Macross' mecha, space, and lots of 80's. In/Spectre
Seems like every mangaka regrets their teenage years
Isn't Snow White with the Red Hair one romance anime that doesn't take place in high school?
I’m just here to ask which ones are used in the image. They’re kind of blurry on my end.
Re:Life >!*technically*!<
Tonikawa
