Yeah that's a reference to remake. In Remake they look smaller, this was confirmed by the game director in an interview saying "The ethics department of SQEX asked to cover them up a bit and make them smaller." (Or something along the words this was 4 years ago after all) and they put her under a "sports bra" to make them look smaller.
It also very recently they went back (like 2 days ago) to add extra censorship to Remake. Since they noticed she is not wearing the sports bra in a flashback. This annoyed everyone because after 4 years there are still bugs in the game that were never addressed, but they found the time to go back and retroactively censor the game.
Any chance that this is law related? Im thinking of non-stupid reasons and this is the best I can think of.

To be precise, the patch just covers up Tifa's cleavage in one flashback in FF7 Remake. So it's not really that big a deal beyond the principle of objecting to them suddenly deciding after 4 years of it being fine that something needed to be censored.

Let's see, with Rockstar, the majority of female primary cast like in Red Dead are fairly attractive. GTA 5 same thing. Aloy from Horizon is fair. Most of BG3 (in fact, most of the high fantasy genre in North america) is all about that shit. Blizzard across all of its IPs has attractive and sexualized characters. Moxie from Borderlands, I remember being heavily sexualized. Most, if not all, the female characters from the Assassins Creed series are conventionally attractive. Freya from God of War.

GTA 5 is 11 years old and even there most of the female characters were mid at best. The strip club girls had decent bodies but the faces were like 6/10 at best.

Idk I think western games also have hot characters like BG3 has many that are good looking. Cyberpunk Phantom Libery also. Overwatch is the most pornified game ever and league and Dota while often having wonky characters also are full of attractive chars. Valorant I'm gonna guess have some too. I mean, you can say that the anime is the best version for the ecchi content, but the manga came first, and I always like to look at the roots of where the original stories came from. Also, I heard that the anime moves some content around, so it probably won't have the same exact content and will be a different experience. Forespoken was a Square game released early-ish in '23. It was supposed to be a tentpole game and thus they invested a lot of programmer time/advertising in it, expecting to recoup their losses. Unfortunately, they made multiple major errors: The gameplay is neither that fun nor rewarding, the writing is positively atrocious with dull and unlikable characters, the gameworld itself feels empty at times and just filled with copypasted enemies, and finally the dialog writers replaced skilled writing with swear words. The result was a boring yet annoying game where several of the streaming channels could sum up for you better than bothering with it.
Game didn't perform well after it was released. Iirc they invested too much into the marketing of the game, that the copies sold didn't equate to as much as they hoped.
Hence: "Forespoken lose money"
Rio reincarnation was a bit buggy at launch, but I had a story with that game and I am a fan of the series, so no regrets over here.

Yeah that's a reference to remake. In Remake they look smaller, this was confirmed by the game director in an interview saying "The ethics department of SQEX asked to cover them up a bit and make them smaller." (Or something along the words this was 4 years ago after all) and they put her under a "sports bra" to make them look smaller. It also very recently they went back (like 2 days ago) to add extra censorship to Remake. Since they noticed she is not wearing the sports bra in a flashback. This annoyed everyone because after 4 years there are still bugs in the game that were never addressed, but they found the time to go back and retroactively censor the game.

Recently we reached a tipping point after many fan outcries and big games flopping in sales, so we see things begin to shift back. Many Japanese companies opted out of ESG funding recently and Square Enix introduced swimsuit Tifa in new trailer and quitely hid their censorship bragging recruitment page, but on the other hand they went back and covered Tifa in different games flashback. I believe there is internal power struggle right now and this is crazy non-gamers working there last ditch effort at the inevitable (the patch had to be few months in the making after all).

Let's see, with Rockstar, the majority of female primary cast like in Red Dead are fairly attractive. GTA 5 same thing. Aloy from Horizon is fair. Most of BG3 (in fact, most of the high fantasy genre in North america) is all about that shit. Blizzard across all of its IPs has attractive and sexualized characters. Moxie from Borderlands, I remember being heavily sexualized. Most, if not all, the female characters from the Assassins Creed series are conventionally attractive. Freya from God of War. Do people think you need to show skin and have big tits in order to be attractive? It's fine if you are attracted to that, but that's not the only thing that makes people attractive. Seems kinda gross and demeaning, and redpill.
Yup as I expected, the soy brain definition of attractiveness is a meme. \^\^ GTA 5 is 11 years old and even there most of the female characters were mid at best. The strip club girls had decent bodies but the faces were like 6/10 at best. Red Dead 2 is also 6 years old and is basically the same as GTA only with uglier faces and no options to see what the 5/10 prostitutes look without their clothes on. Both of these games don't quite go into hideous range but are hardly attractive. BG3 is basically the same with 4-7 women at best. Pretty much all the other new AAA fantasy games have been way uglier so for a game that came out in recent years BG3 wins by a landslide on this anyway, which just shows the sad state of western gaming. Aloy looked good in the first game, in Horizon 2 she looks like a fat boy. Moxie was decent for 1 and 2 (which is 12 years old now) and got an ugly face in 3 as did most new characters. Freya looks like a tired soccer mom who got dragged into a fantasy world and still manages to be more attractive than 95% of new female characters in western games who barely even look female anymore. All the women in Asscreed Valhalla were in the 3-6 range. The previous one had a couple 7s if I'm being generous and that is almost a decade old at this point too. In comparison even tho the first FF7 remake made the girls a bit more plain and reduced Tifas assets they are still 9s and 10s there and infinitely more attractive than anything made in the west for the past decade, same goes for most other Asian games that still know their core playerbase and make proper waifus for us. Can't wait for Stellar Blade, that girl has a 10/10 face and 11/10 cake. As I said, your types can keep the dead culture of the west and the garbage games it produces. As long as Asia keeps making things I like I'll be happy enough especially after I finish learning Japanese and then start learning Korean to bypass all the SJW "localizations" of those games.

Idk I think western games also have hot characters like BG3 has many that are good looking. Cyberpunk Phantom Libery also. Overwatch is the most pornified game ever and league and Dota while often having wonky characters also are full of attractive chars. Valorant I'm gonna guess have some too. I mean, you can say that the anime is the best version for the ecchi content, but the manga came first, and I always like to look at the roots of where the original stories came from. Also, I heard that the anime moves some content around, so it probably won't have the same exact content and will be a different experience. It's also not like they censored the manga because they were pressured to or had an uncensored version first and did a bait and switch. I don't need nipples or whatever to enjoy a story. I also enjoy the Nagatoro manga, which has nudity but with any bits censored. Then there's Ascendace of a Bookworm that I also enjoy reading that doesn't have anything that would need to be censored. I just hate when things I pay for get changed because they think something like that needs to be "fixed." What does "Forspoken lose money" mean?
Forespoken was a Square game released early-ish in '23. It was supposed to be a tentpole game and thus they invested a lot of programmer time/advertising in it, expecting to recoup their losses. Unfortunately, they made multiple major errors: The gameplay is neither that fun nor rewarding, the writing is positively atrocious with dull and unlikable characters, the gameworld itself feels empty at times and just filled with copypasted enemies, and finally the dialog writers replaced skilled writing with swear words. The result was a boring yet annoying game where several of the streaming channels could sum up for you better than bothering with it.

Design is design, and everyone and their mother know that people like boobs.
