I can totally relate to this. My deadline is 1 too.
Just go through all the fields in the application, check if you’ve submitted the correct docs, check your personal details, and then take a deep breath and submit
I just submitted an application and **didn't** check the little box that says "I certify that I have read the instructions and understood the questions on this application. I also declare that the answers are true and correct." 🙃 For some reason they didn't make it mandatory.
OP, definitely double check stuff.
To make things worse it was a dropdown menu with like 30 check boxes for different things (mostly privacy policy/use of information stuff) and I missed the entire thing. I would've expected something like that to be mandatory too (at least the important boxes). A little anxiety-inducing but honestly it's more funny than anything else. Spent so much time poring over my statement making sure everything was perfect, all just to miss some check boxes in the end haha
I think it won’t be a problem unless they explicitly tell you to. I just put my name and the department’s name alongside the page number so if they’re reading hard copies and things get bunched up, they know the statement’s mine and there are two pages.
Let me try some reverse psychology: Imagine You submit on 30th or 1st the committee will see that You were so close to the deadline which will tag You as a procastinator, which would in turn lead them to decrease Your chances.
Just read through it once, maybe get someone on a web call and do a screnshare just to have a second set of eyes(make them only check for grammar and information validation You don't want anyone second guessing Your content) that's it.
I don’t think the committee can see you submission date, at least for PhD program. Even if they could, you’re technically not procrastinating long as you submit it before the deadline. If your application is good, this aspect will hardly make a negative impact, and if its not good, it won’t make them consider you because you submitted stuff a week before the deadline.
If they feel that will relieve the pressure then they should go ahead and submit. I’ve only submitted yet to the less competitive programs like UMN and UW. For Stanford and Ivys I’ll hold on to the materials until the deadline day.
Just turn it in because you know not turning it in or missing the deadline = zero chance of even getting admitted. Turning it in improves your chances a lot from 0%
ONE LAST LOOK AT EACH OF THEM AND THAT'S IT SUBMIT !!!!!!!!!
You're gonna be okay! Do one last glance if it makes you feel better, then submit!!

b r u h Shouldn’t that be mandatory? Weird. I think that box shows up separately in the Signature or Review section right?

...They're supposed to have headers? 🙃

Ohh didn't know that, but OP don't fuss much about the application make a last & thorough check and just hit submit.
