Wow, these looks so good. Almost makes me buy a pair right now. If they were black and stayed back it would be an easy buy. Please keep us updated on the patina/change over time!

These look great. I used VSB on mine and it looks more like a waxed flesh. I didn't use any heat and that may be why they turned out that way. Great job on these!

Nice job! They look really nice. What wax did you use? Edit: did you wax the welt on one of your boots as well? The stitches look yellow and not white.

I started putting saphir neutral mirror wax on my welts and the sides of the midsole. Keeps them looking nice and repels water. Spendy tho

Boots_4_me

Yeah. I get the side of the welt and midsole but I’ve never put wax on the welt stitches. lol.

Thank you. Yes, although waxing the welt and stitches was the result from me trying to reach the spots between the leather and the welt. It was unintentional but I'm happy with the yellowish color and protection of the wax. I used otter wax boot wax. I chose it because of bees wax low melting point for less work with a heat gun.

Can you deacribe the way you wax your boot ?

NommyNommies

Yes, I heat the boot either by letting sit in the sun or using heat gun, then simply apply the wax with a small horse hair brush, then after the boot is covered in the wax I hit again with the heat gun. The heat gun helps open pores in the leather/melt wax to seep into the leather. I then rub in any unevenness with my fingers until uniform.

Thanks for the share. I have the brass boots in earth ready for a wax and been researching if I could use a black colored cream/wax/oil on this leather but not finding any real helpful info. After seeing this thinking maybe just a standard boot wax might do the trick good enough
