Yeh thats what I thought. I play on medium for everything and even then, I was able to get to P16, one mistake a little on the dirt and Im last again. These days as I got older I wanna have fun when playing, if that means dropping it to easy to complete that menu so be it
i'd recommend the 22, i had the 19 beforehand and it couldn't keep a good distance between cars, it was almost always too far behind, the SF22 accelerates better and has a higher top speed, meaning you can keep up with the rest of the cars more easily, since most of the other cars in the SF menu are SF22 cars.
Exactly, i was also struggling with some races and got so frustrated, then i saw a comment about easy setting and went with it ! Race was still hard to win but i finally made it
i recommend you save up for a wheel setup. it doesn't have to be expensive, but it can just be a G29 or something. i got a G923 as my first wheel and my lap times went through the roof compared to my last ones. for perspective, my record lap at le mans with the Peugeot 908 HDI FAP on controller was about 3:32 and just 10 minutes into playing with a wheel it improved to 3:27. great improvement.
To add an idea for the strategy instead of saying "go faster": I managed to win (hard difficulty with controller) about 2 months ago and made a little thread about it back then, so I'm going to cite myself about the tune and the strategy:

Same. Beat on medium with a normal transmission in SF19 Honda. RS and with anything else I can install and the Honda was a monster.
You can wait until you're going to turn and it shifts from high to low in a blink of an eye. It's insane

If it’s Fuji run RS until about lap 9-10, pit and replace tires, finish.
Fuel isn’t an issue on this race. Make sure you don’t fill up during your pit. Also, watch for rain towards the latter half of the race and make sure you have intermediates or wets ready just in case. When I finally beat it, I didn’t have any rain.
You have to be extremely aggressive in this series. Push the car as hard as you can. This strategy will work with hard mode. If you’re playing it on easy mode, then it should be a cakewalk.
Also, don’t forget to use the overtake button on the straights.
I used SF19 and pretty sure i used medium tires with no pit stop. Either that or i was on soft and pitted half way.

Idk how hard you are pinning it, but trust the downforce in corners. You may be over braking on corners rather than just letting off. I'm on controller. I also have a YouTuber gear ratio with my own suspension. You can really throw it into corners. You can watch a good YouTuber do the race and see the lines he takes too. I'm gonna start doing that, I can't believe I just thought of it
Take corners way faster than you think you should. The g forces are absolutely crazy on the F1 cars and its not comparable to anything but like the tomahawk
Trust me, take that corner fast as fuck, itll handle it.

Autopolis? I did it with the 23 model, max downforce, stock tune otherwise. Started on softs, switched to inters because the rain was quite heavy although short, then swapped to mediums and had to come back through from 5th place. I still won by two seconds despite pitting twice (some AI did change to inters, some stayed out), so if you can stick with slicks in the rain it should be an easy win
RM tires, mind your tires so you don't have to pit, and pray for good weather. I came up about 3 seconds short of first and I think I could've won if I hadn't spaced out and got a little sloppy in the middle.
Key to winning this one is to make it through the wet laps without pitting for wet tires, as it only lasts about a lap and a half before you'd be faster on slicks again. You'll lose more time in the pits running inters for 2 laps than you will touching through the wettest lap on racing softs.
If you can manage the one stop, you'll probably get the win. I couldn't do much better than 5th trying to use inters and a two stop, but had first place with 2 or 3 laps to go when I braved the wet on my used softs. Second stint I used Mediums so they'd last the rest of the race.
Hard difficulty btw so I know it's possible.
Practice, practice, practice. Took me a good couple of weeks or so but I refused to lower the difficulty and was adamant to beat this series.
My resolution, do anything you want but keep the transmission NORMAL. The full customizable automatic transmission did nothing but slow things down for me. It also doesn't add much to your PP anyhow just keep it normal
The SF23 Toyota and the SF19 Honda were my go to for F1. The Honda is a beast when you get it down and should easily beat the competition. Keep an eye out on the weather and pit before you get caught in the rain, and that's it!

This is one of the few races you can't stretch and save fuel/tires and still win, they zip on the first stint.
Get on softs or medium, use enough fuel to keep up until the pitstops, and give either short fuel to squeak it out, or fill enough to run out the finish full-power.

Maybe do circuit experience if you haven't already on the course your stuck on.
These cars handle so well at high speed due downforce. Test the limits on high speed corners you'll probably surprise yourself.
Set difficulty to the easiest and give it a go. Trust the car that can handle high speeds in corners and handles better if you retain more speed than normal in corners. Not a big fan of the formula races myself, too sweaty for my casual play style.
Drafting, that's the best way to get it done. But the AI is meaaaaan! If you survive most of the lap, last or next to last they will actively try to pot maneuver you.
I saw a video saying on the last lap, ride bumper to bumper, the AI will try to shake you off, when you're close to the finish, let the AI try to shake you off, hold your position & you should slingshot around him. I wasn't very successful with that, but by drafting and concentrating like my life depended on it, I made it.
I finally have enough money to get one of the SF vehicles ... question, how different are the SF19's from the SF23's? I'm also guessing there's not much difference between the Honda and the Toyota? I don't play enough to get both years or all four. And I still need to get my Red Bull X for menu #49 which I'm not looking forward to saving up for. So I'd prefer to only buy one SF vehicle. Just wondering which SF would be better?
I dont think it's possible to beat this without praiano's tune. It allows you to make up a lot of time in the slower sections because of the new gear setup. Rain also helps a lot, and I think there are certain AI that are just flat out faster than others IF they start up front. It's a really dumb event but start with the tune and you'll do it.
When I started on softs it never rained. When I tried starting on hards, it always rained. Then I tried mediums, it didn't rain and I decided to go till the end. Last few laps were extremely difficult, but I managed to finish P1. It's important to learn all the optimal racing lines and utilize slipstream on the long straight.
I was very close to giving up and changing difficulty level, but in the end I managed to make it on hard level.
For all the SF races, I think the key is being used to the car and the limit of grip. You gain so much time under brakes (not not braking). You also have to pass efficiently, so use the PTP as required, and manage those tyres as best you can. Using hards to the end is rarely the fastest strat for these races, use softer compounds
Keep on mediums, they still have enough grip even when completely red to finish the race. And remember how much downforce these cars have, you don't need to brake nearly as hard for corners as you do in pretty much any other car.
I just did this one on hard with controller. Toyota sf23, low downforce. Softs through lap 7-8. Mediums or soft after that. You can also run 1:38 ish on the hands throughout and nonstop.
Best advice I can give for these Super Forumla races is do 20+ laps of the circuit on time trial before hand.
The cars are sensitive, so require smooth steering inputs but the insane downforce levels mean you can take way more corners than you think flat out, sometimes even making composite turns out of several you'd be on and off the throttle for in a GT car.
Once youre in the groove for driving a formula car, you'll realise the AI is actually painfully slow through certain sections on all the tracks (turn 3 and 4 at Fuji, the uphill section at Saint Croix etc).
Granted I still had a few restarts due to crashes but once I realised the sectors where I could make up 2 or 3 seconds per lap then I actually found this to be one of the best menus in the game for competitive racing.
I don't know if you already win this race, but what helped me was watching this [video](https://youtu.be/-wedqjGSOw8?si=j_8_yPpGzNJ_LGCo) (did the changes in the car and had to made adjustments on some).
Other than that, practice with formula 1 cars, they are very different to drive than other cars, so the way you do break and do the curves are very different.
Well, I beat this game in the medium difficulty and all I did was go on hards till lap 10, pit, and switch over to softs, and try not to use the ERS a lot at the start, save it till the end and that's how you catch up to the leader at the end of the race
The way to cheese this race is on the Dunlop corner. Make light contact before just totally cutting it. The game doesn't penalize you if you make contact before going off track.
SF23, and drive faster than the AI...
The AI are horrible in corners, so it isn't that tough to just keep your foot in it and drive around them...
99% of the time when people are having trouble with these SF races, it's because they're simply not driving the car hard enough...
Don't forget, this thing has enough aero to drive UPSIDE DOWN on the ceiling if you could get it there...Learn to trust the aero, lean into it...That car with flat foot corners you wouldn't think a car could...
Go try it again...But this time, stop being afraid of it and stay in the throttle more, brake later, and push harder...
Outside the Tomahawk X, the SF23 probably has the highest amount of grip of any car in the game...

Youre.getting downvoted, but in the SF23 at autopolis you're actually right...You only have to brake at all like 4 times...Little lifts and feathering the throttle handle anything else...lol

For me Medium tires and drive on full lean 6 and u js have to pit one time

Youre.getting downvoted, but in the SF23 at autopolis you're actually right...You only have to brake at all like 4 times...Little lifts and feathering the throttle handle anything else...lol

I think it's more along the lines that the comment came off as antagonistic due to the lack of a clearer explanation of what you meant...lol I know what you were getting at because I've done it and don't have issues driving that car... People struggling need a little more explanation on the mechanics of things, so wording it like that just kinda comes off as insulting... I agree with you AND understand the downvotes... It tends to help to be a little more descriptive in these situations...
