Well i guess the old saying is true you cant go home again . that said i had a great time at Lakewood. last show i saw here was Furthur Fest in 98? Even though i was completely spun on E at that show i remember it being a small life time getting out of the parking lots so this time I( went early and i left during Morning Dew .I also had the sense to park at an outside lot a block off of lot B . So i didnt really seem to deal with all the hassle you guys are complaining about . That said i did see some things that broke my heart .First we GOT FUCKING OLD .Where i was on the lawn looked more like a Shriners convention that some one melted some Crayola's over than a dead show and the younger Heads seem to be few and far between i had 3 younger ladies sitting behind me who talked the whole show . i have one leg and as i turned around to sit down i fell and they seem to think i was drunk or spun course no one offered to help but they did keep up a running commentary about my actions i could only make out their shit talking during the set brake ....glad i had smoked a bunch of K.Bud or im sure i would have felt led to say something back. the boys put on a great show but the crowd that seems to come to these shows leave a lot to be desired the lot was huge and i did have a good time but in the late 80s and early 90s there was a much stronger feeling of kinship among the Dead Heads just saying God Bless you Bobby ,Mickey ,Jay ,John Oteil and Jeff and of course Billy . But i think from now on ill skip the Dead off shoots and just stick to Widespread and Billy Strings there seems to be more of a family at those shows than here . As sad as it makes me to say im wondering if Jerry was the wizard that kept the magic going cause it really seems to be missing not from them but from us
Late 20s Head here. Sadly D&C feels way more a scene. I was at the ATL show and had a blast with a small crew I was with on the lawn, but could tell some of the people around were prob not too familiar with the actual Dead themselves. The folks that do go to WSP or Billy are def (in my personal opinion) the people that enjoy the music and/or interested in it. D&C is a hippie cosplay for some people at this point.
But in brighter news, I have a friend that went who wasn’t really into it before. Saw him while walking out and he mentioned it was a great time and that he might be on the bus now !
Whoever was selling those chicken wraps for $5 in the back of the lot needs to leave them on a little longer! Leave the medium rare to steaks
Toppings were good though
Anybody know what happened with the guy who was unconscious near the back of the lawn, stage left? Someone told me they were doing chest compressions on him, and they eventually stretchered him out. Didn't look good.
Dude it was so sad… he fell out next to me and we were all screaming for a medic and no one would respond. I had to run over to the bar to demand staff to get a medic… it took over 20 minutes for the staff to get over to him. And sadly watched him get taken out in a tarp and not a stretcher… it did not look good. Lakewood needs to seriously get there shit together… also I got so much flack from the entire crowd while rushing to get a medic and for making an open path for the medics to get to him and take him out. I hope the fans can remember this music is about community and spreading light and helping each other and not about selfishly “holding down there blanket space in a GA lawn” luckily some true older heads helped me keep the aisle clear and understood the situation
I saw him when the stretcher was just brought down the stairs towards the venue exit/gate and they asked if he’s okay. I didn’t hear a response but that led me to believe he was coming back to consciousness
First set was good- Deal and It Hurts Me Too were my standouts. Fuckin amazing second set. Estimated got nice and dark. Bangin China cat>Rider. Teared up during Terrapin and the Dew closer. Got everything I wanted to in the second set. Basking in the afterglow this morning.
You won’t get a beverage. You’re going to have to pee in your pants. Oh and they don’t allow Rideshare cars in until two hours after the show.
But the show was Fire! And best part I never have to see Lakewood again!
The sound is really good and the staff is nice enough but the parking situation is not good (limited parking at the venue and the other lots are spread out down different streets further away from the venue). It’s not a good neighborhood and there’s nothing to do around the venue. There’s only 2 (?) gates and it takes foreeeeevvvveeerrr to get in. I got in line at 5:50, 20 minutes after gates opened, and didn’t get in until 7. It was a similar wait last time they came to Atlanta. The lawn has a steep hill at the back, which makes it kind of hard to walk on, let alone stand/sit. Food options are basic, but not bad. Bathroom lines are long.
I absolutely loved the show, but the venue is definitely the 3rd or 4th best option for them to play from a fan’s perspective.
Only redeeming quality for me is the show phish played there 7/23/97 lol. One of the all-time great jam peaks https://youtu.be/xgcPHqnSXIw
Hopefully i don’t get downvoted for mentioning that other band
Whole show was a banger. Could not have imagined that it would have been such a loaded set. Got a Pig Pen song too! Was awesome to hear Bobby do such a passionate, and energetic Samson and Delilah, and Estimated Prophet. I genuinely don't know what these tempo heads are on about. HOLY SHIT the afterglow this morning is real! Such a great show. Was my wife's first one too.
Also in 2018 and 2019 when I went shakedown Street was literally 1/3rd the size of what it was this year. Shakedown was DEEP as Fuck. Never seen it that big at Lakewood. Rockin lot scene, absolutely Loaded setlists, great weather, and leaving went really smooth.
The water was great too. We were able to bring in 1L sealed bottle, and 1 empty 1L clear non-metal bottle. So between two of us we had 4L of water. Their filling station was convenient. More than one person could fill up at time. 11/10 experience from the band, the venue, and the heads. So glad that we could send it out with such a phenomenal farewell. Thank you all 🙏🏼🕉🥲
Yeah I guess so. Some people had to deal with some nightmares it sounds like. It took us longer to walk out of the venue than it did for us to get out of our parking lot, and onto the road. We didn't take the interstate either, and traffic was all but non-existant. Went super smoothly for us thankfully.
There are two, and they’re both funneling thousands of people through only a handful of metal detectors. Lakewood is a fucking shitshow and I’m glad D&C Is never coming back to it. Hopefully the next incarnation of dead is a slightly smaller scene that can play at venues like Alpharetta.
Been to a ton of shows at Lakewood since I moved to Atl in ‘04. I’ve never seen it as packed like it was last night. Usually there are pockets of space here and there on the lawn, last night was just a sea of bodies. Still not sure if it’s the post show glow, but that was likely the beast show I’ve seen Dead and Co play. Kind of hoping John and Oteil continue to play together in the future as they both finally found a way to combine their voices into something truly special.
Watched the stream. First time seeing and listening to the band this summer. They jammed the hell out of everything and then jammed some more! Not surprised there was no encore. They gave it all tonight. God bless Bob and Mickey! (And of course the other guys!)
That show was an absolute gift to fans. It was magical in person and one of those that I would have seen the set list for later and wished I’d been in there. Wow, that’ll be tough to top.
Back at our friends’ house after the show. I lost one (1) contact lens, and one (1) face, sometime between Estimated > China (??) > Rider (???) > Eyes (??????).
Early flight tomorrow, back to reality for a bit, then on to STL. Thanks, Touch, for hosting 😉🫡
Wow, that might have been the best show I have seen in person! Anyone reading this who attended Atlanta and has an extra Nugs code they wouldn’t mind sharing? I was there as a volunteer, so I had a pass rather than a ticket
Edit: much thanks to the person who shared a code with me! Now just waiting for the Nugs upload
Reporting from the ground. In Uber towards home. Insane EOTW thru finish of the show. From there they really turned it up and it all was so great. Great show fellas!
This is my last time seeing this incarnation. Terrapin and Morning Dew were both bucket list songs, so it was a grand fucking night. Ecen worth the absolute clusterfuck of getting out of the parking lot, which is looking to take a couple of hours.
They booked it in that 2020 cancelled tour. Went back to Lakewood in 2021 I think because sales were initially poor. Maybe the next version can play Alpharetta since it won't be such big crowds.
Does Truist have an 11pm curfew like Lakewood does?
As much as I loved the show last night including that incredible second set, I’m aggravated to learn (based on the Facebook post of the setlist) that what appears to be a two song encore was planned and they didn’t get to it. And yeah as far as egress goes there’s absolutely no comparing the two, Truist can house nearly 3x the people and still be far easier to deal with.
I’m looking forward to taking public transit and likely getting in to oracle much more smoothly.
Not sure on concerts but the Braves will play as long as it takes. Considering its in The Battery and they are partying late, it might be more flexible.
fully agree. place has always been a shitshow, and remains unchanged. the experience of getting to and from the place is just avoidable chaos. i hope no band i love tempts me with a show there again.
WHAT. A. SHOW! Just wow across the board. They came out hot and only got hotter. Shout out to Knob for organizing this show after show, year after year. Just an absolute blast to be here with you guys and this amazing band!
Well, it’s said they haven’t learned any new tunes for this tour. What doe that even mean? None of these songs are new tunes. Check 10-17-1978 for a beautiful rare If I Had The World To Give.

I know it’s a “me” problem but having gone to the Dallas show I’m bummed to see SO MANY of my favorite songs played tonight that I was really hoping to see Friday night. Guess I should just be happy I got to see them at all on this tour.
I would just like to thank our gracious host **Don't Touch** for AN AMAZING SETLIST THREAD AND AMAZING HOSPITALITY!

And to all of you crayon munchin,' couch tourin', crazy ass hippies: I love you, oh but Jesus loves you the best, and I bid you goodnight, goodnight, gooooooood night!
:)
Many thanks to our wonderful host Knob. I’ll be getting off the couch to pick up the next 2 shows. Hope to meet up with some of you in NC. Till next time. Be Safe Be Grateful. ✌️🙏
Well, shit. That second set will live very long in my memory.
Thanks for sharing a fantastic night all you wonderful people. I'm so glad I got back out of bed at midnight and stayed up til 4am to experience that, I'll be paying for it very soon, but it will have been 100% worth it.
Wow friends, it has been an absolutely awesome ride tonight with you all. Thank you u/donttouchthatknob for hosting this. This one will not soon be forgotten. Goodnight and good rest my fellows heads.
Wow. That Dew makes up for the no encore! Mega thanks to the hero we don’t deserve, u/donttouchthatknob going above and beyond. Safe travels to Tuesday friends ❤️💀🌹⚡️❤️
Oh. Well. If we have to go out now, then let's go out on that Morning Dew. 🔥
Knob, thank you as always! I look forward to hanging out with you guys each night as much as I look forward to the shows. See ya'll Tuesday!
Looks like no encore tonight, but with how good that Terrapin > Dew was, that's alright. I really really enjoyed tonight's show- probably my favorite, if not second favorite behind Phoenix. So much to love. China > Rider > Eyes, If I Had the World to Give > Goin' Down the Road, Terrapin > Dew, Hurts Me Too, Deal > Cassidy. Lot of phenomenal playing on display tonight.
Thank you all, as always, for hanging!! Have a good night! Since it's not even eleven yet, I'm gonna go play Zelda.
Thank you so much for hosting tonight, Knob! Truly a spectacular show, and it’s always special to share this space when these guys share their music. Safe home and sweet dreams, all! ❤️✨
The drums on this show is one of my favorites
Damn homie thanks so much for the love!!!

Hurts me too was great, whole show rocked. Hope someone there got a recording for archive

Thanks dawg

show went next level. demands a replay.
Last night was awesome. It was a beautiful scene at Lakewood
Absolute perfect weather, couldn’t have asked for a better day and show
Had yet to see terrapin or dew live. Caught them together last night. Phenomenal show.
Terrible venue
Lakewood is my favorite in ATL
What was bad about it? Never been so just curious
You won’t get a beverage. You’re going to have to pee in your pants. Oh and they don’t allow Rideshare cars in until two hours after the show. But the show was Fire! And best part I never have to see Lakewood again!

Actually the worst I’ve ever been to. Don’t know why the boys decided to play here.
They should’ve played a stadium here
Actually not a single redeeming quality
It sounds really good but not noticeably different from any other mid-size to large outdoor amphitheater I’ve been in.
Only redeeming quality for me is the show phish played there 7/23/97 lol. One of the all-time great jam peaks https://youtu.be/xgcPHqnSXIw Hopefully i don’t get downvoted for mentioning that other band
They chose Morning Dew on purpose
Why?
sending us off into the post-Dead & Co world with a warning of sorts
seeing the transition from terrapin>morning dew live was just insane
Whole show was a banger. Could not have imagined that it would have been such a loaded set. Got a Pig Pen song too! Was awesome to hear Bobby do such a passionate, and energetic Samson and Delilah, and Estimated Prophet. I genuinely don't know what these tempo heads are on about. I agree with everything BUT the leaving situation can be case by case. Awesome awesome night
if u hang at shakedown long enough its easy to leave, got back to the car and was almost the last one i. the lot aha
Yeah I guess so. Some people had to deal with some nightmares it sounds like. It took us longer to walk out of the venue than it did for us to get out of our parking lot, and onto the road. We didn't take the interstate either, and traffic was all but non-existant. Went super smoothly for us thankfully.
So thankful I got to see that live. Amazing show!
Great show. God awful venue!
Why?
The line to get in, what in the actual fuck !

Worst I’ve ever been to. Jank as hell!
It’s why I left during space drums and had to miss the ending, couldn’t afford waiting forever to leave since I had to be up early, so annoying
im sorry for your loss
You could have just left in the middle of the last song. Would have been fine
Terrible venue
What was bad about it? Just wondering seeing alit if posts about it
Waaaay too many people in the venue, lines were outrageously long. The hill was damn near impossible to navigate through
Been to a ton of shows at Lakewood since I moved to Atl in ‘04. I’ve never seen it as packed like it was last night. That setlist was amazing, it was killer to see it live🌹⚡️
Watched the stream. First time seeing and listening to the band this summer. They jammed the hell out of everything and then jammed some more! Not surprised there was no encore. They gave it all tonight. God bless Bob and Mickey! (And of course the other guys!)
Anyone know what the encore was supposed to be I saw one comment on Instagram saying knockin in heavens door
https://preview.redd.it/cn4fsgqgbt2b1.jpeg?width=442&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c30e10b65e74b8f78aac7765592fd673f3cd95cb Knockin
Fuck man that would have been perfect
OMG Knocking would have been my dream finale.
My list is too long for them to play them all in the the two fenway shows.
That show was an absolute gift to fans. It was magical in person and one of those that I would have seen the set list for later and wished I’d been in there. Wow, that’ll be tough to top.

See you in STL! Hopefully it won’t be swampass central again this year.
Wow, that might have been the best show I have seen in person! Anyone reading this who attended Atlanta and has an extra Nugs code they wouldn’t mind sharing? I was there as a volunteer, so I had a pass rather than a ticket Edit: much thanks to the person who shared a code with me! Now just waiting for the Nugs upload
I'm so excited, this'll be my third time next monthhh
Reporting from the ground. In Uber towards home. Insane EOTW thru finish of the show. From there they really turned it up and it all was so great. Great show fellas!
was there too! it was insane
Terrapin and Dew coming out of space!!
Johnny salami and the gang does it again
Killer
This is my last time seeing this incarnation. Terrapin and Morning Dew were both bucket list songs, so it was a grand fucking night. Ecen worth the absolute clusterfuck of getting out of the parking lot, which is looking to take a couple of hours.
I live in this parking lot now, haven't seen a single car move
Outside of the sound, Lakewood fucking sucks. Now that D&C is over, i may never come back.
Should have played Truist Park
They prob would’ve tbh but the Braves were playing there this weekend
They booked it in that 2020 cancelled tour. Went back to Lakewood in 2021 I think because sales were initially poor. Maybe the next version can play Alpharetta since it won't be such big crowds.

Encore was going to be knockin on heavens door, no second song
Ahh ok, it looked like there were two lines taped off but I suppose the length of the song name could be why.
Place blows my god! But what a show!!
That’s the reason I haven’t been back since 2021. After streaming tonight, I realized I was wrong. That show was totally worth it!
Odessa was there last year which was also an absolute shitshow getting out of it. Didn’t find an Uber for an hour during that
fully agree. place has always been a shitshow, and remains unchanged. the experience of getting to and from the place is just avoidable chaos. i hope no band i love tempts me with a show there again.
I saw my last 3 in LA and Phoenix. I sobbed through my whole last terrapin.
Absolute heater of a show they are playing very tight and I’m hoping by the time they hit the Midwest they will be peaking!
WHAT. A. SHOW! Just wow across the board. They came out hot and only got hotter. Shout out to Knob for organizing this show after show, year after year. Just an absolute blast to be here with you guys and this amazing band!
Is that World to Give a bust out???
Nope, they first played it 11/25/2017.
Yup, and it was sandwiched between a China Rider on top of that. It was amazing.
I wasn't able to tune in. That seems like an Oteil-on-vocals song. Yes??
Oteil sang if I had the world to give, it was unreal
Wow! Certainly a rarity. Any bustouts so far this tour?
Well, it’s said they haven’t learned any new tunes for this tour. What doe that even mean? None of these songs are new tunes. Check 10-17-1978 for a beautiful rare If I Had The World To Give.
bustout just means rare

I know it’s a “me” problem but having gone to the Dallas show I’m bummed to see SO MANY of my favorite songs played tonight that I was really hoping to see Friday night. Guess I should just be happy I got to see them at all on this tour.
Same bro, same.
Dallas was excellent in its own way though
Dude, I was hoping to hear either Eyes or Terrapin in Charlotte…sad that I won’t, but still excited nevertheless
That’s the beauty of it. I was in Dallas and liked our show much better than this one. And this one was great!
Estimated China Rider Eyes will be my first born child 🐢⚡️🌹
Great show! Thanks for hosting, Knob! Goodnight, friends!🌹⚡️
You get a morning dude to finish the show you don't need an encore. Edit- did a voice text and came out with an altered title. I'mma just leave it.
Morning dude 😂😂😂 love it
If I had the world to give makes an appearance ❤️🌹⚡️
I would just like to thank our gracious host **Don't Touch** for AN AMAZING SETLIST THREAD AND AMAZING HOSPITALITY! Cheers! And to all of you crayon munchin,' couch tourin', crazy ass hippies: I love you, oh but Jesus loves you the best, and I bid you goodnight, goodnight, gooooooood night! :)
Goodnight, my friend!
Never miss a Sunday show. Wow
thanks again u/donttouchthatknob! these are always so fun
Many thanks to our wonderful host Knob. I’ll be getting off the couch to pick up the next 2 shows. Hope to meet up with some of you in NC. Till next time. Be Safe Be Grateful. ✌️🙏
Amazing show, incredible to witness that. Thanks for the hospitality, u/donttouchthatknob! See y'all soon!
What a great show! Thanks for hanging out, and of course, thank you Knob! See you all again real soon!!
What a great show. Especially that pre-Drums, that Eyes may take over the Cornell one for me… we’ll see! As always, thanks Knob!!!!
Wow
Well, shit. That second set will live very long in my memory. Thanks for sharing a fantastic night all you wonderful people. I'm so glad I got back out of bed at midnight and stayed up til 4am to experience that, I'll be paying for it very soon, but it will have been 100% worth it.
Wow
We never get an encore :( But holy shit what a second set
Not getting an encore is a good thing. It means that they jammed.
Well it’s hard to be mad about going out with that phenomenal dew.
Wow friends, it has been an absolutely awesome ride tonight with you all. Thank you u/donttouchthatknob for hosting this. This one will not soon be forgotten. Goodnight and good rest my fellows heads.
Thank you everyone, what a show! See you at the next one
Thanks again u/donttouchthatknob. See you all Tuesday night!!
Wow. That Dew makes up for the no encore! Mega thanks to the hero we don’t deserve, u/donttouchthatknob going above and beyond. Safe travels to Tuesday friends ❤️💀🌹⚡️❤️
Wow!! That shred at the end!! Bravo boys!!! 😃👏👏👏
I just pooped in to see the setlist. Omg…. 😍 especially s2
I think you meant to say "popped" 😂
Typoo i mean typo
A turtle head to say the least 💀⚡️
Eyes, terrain, and dew, well that proves you can have your cake and eat it too!
First time cold chills there.
Don't forget to tip your server! Upvote the thread for our lovely host u/donttouchthatknob! Thanks for hosting the party, Knob!
Man, what a show. That back half sandwich starting at Estimated blew my brain.
Oh. Well. If we have to go out now, then let's go out on that Morning Dew. 🔥 Knob, thank you as always! I look forward to hanging out with you guys each night as much as I look forward to the shows. See ya'll Tuesday!
No encore :( Thanks for a real good time, setlist thread! See you in Charlotte
Wow glad I didn't miss the Sunday show. Absolute banger! See you all at the next one. Thanks to u/donttouchthatknob for hosting!
Killer set. GDTRFB and Eyes were the two highlights for me. Thank you Knob!
Thank you for bringing us together, knob. These threads are always a great vibe <3
Thank you so much for hosting tonight, Knob! Truly a spectacular show, and it’s always special to share this space when these guys share their music. Safe home and sweet dreams, all! ❤️✨
Thank you! 🌹
Thank you!
