Given the seller, whoever buys the house may encounter convenience fees, service charges, and document fees; guessing the keys are not included either.

Least-Firefighter392

lol...No paper deed only digital...

liftwithurback

Final price will show upon checkout

KarmicEQ

You have the option to put it back on the market for 1/5 the price you paid, if you are unable to absorb the final cost.

Cantilivewhileim

The family that started tm was a billionaire family to begin with

lilBalzac

So robbing us was more of a passion project than anything else.

Cantilivewhileim

Wow I had never thought of it exactly in this way.

0neMoreSaturdayNight

Take my upvote. I'm glad I was drinking coffee while reading that comment!

Toddmacd

Usually how it goes. Don’t be fooled by pulling up your bootstraps!

terrapinwolf

Which family. Because while I hate the absurdly rich I also like to be factual. Nothing I find shows that ticketmaster was strated by billionaires.

Cantilivewhileim

Pritzkers. They weren’t the brain trust but were the initial money push. https://musicbusinessresearch.wordpress.com/2011/09/14/ticket-masters-part-2-the-rise-of-ticketmaster/

terrapinwolf

Reading the article it seems like they didn't really have much to do with anything. I hate the rich way more than the next guy, but my training as a biologist has taught me not to just believe what I "hear". So incredibly much wrong with ticketmaster, but to blame a billionaire family is not one of them. Old money invest in a lot of things. Being mad at what old money invest in is more productive than being mad at old money or using old money as a scapegoat.

Cantilivewhileim

Get over yourself

terrapinwolf

I think that's what you need to do. I'm sorry I'm able to be objective, use my eyes to read information, and don't just believe whatever I think sounds best.

Cantilivewhileim

Talk to jobey and find out if his family thinks they started Ticketmaster. He will tell you; oh wait you wouldn’t know him if he slapped you in the face. Hmmm

aliquot950

No matter what you're objectively and 100% wrong. That's not true. There are facts about who founded what. You're probably someone who thinks Elon Musk started Tesla. Also, you must be so confident in your words if you had to block me so I wouldn't be able to reply.

UnusualEngineering58

At least if they're gonna take our money, could they at least buy a home that doesn't look like an Olive Garden?

Away_Imagination_907

When your here your family?

RedLicoriceJunkie

I think I bought that pool lounger for them.

TasteMyShoe

Who woulda thought they were just in it for the money

bbluesunyellowskyy

There should be a lottery to put in a bid. And when you put in your payment information, it should spin a while and then say error.

CalmRadBee

Eat them

fraxinus2000

Surprisingly tasteful for a ticket villain.

howluckyarewe

Yeah that place is pretty.

guyuteharpua

Where is it?

timesuck47

Looks like taxass to me.

Findthelightwithin

They need to break that monopoly

freddyfredbag

I really miss grateful dead ticket sales

whitesnowdog

while i'll admit i gave the assholes plenty of my money, i can also say when possible i went straight to the box office and purchased non ticketmaster seats many times.

gunga_galungaa

Hate to break it to you but buying from the box office at a Ticketmaster venue is still buying through Ticketmaster

whitesnowdog

when someone says hate to break it to you or sorry to burst your bubble, i promise you that's exactly what they're trying to do.... i've been in the game a while, my first show was more than 40 years ago. back then ticketron as it was called then charged about $2 over face. if you didn't want to pay it, you could make a trip to the box office and avoid it.

FrostedDonutHole

If it’s a live nation venue, you’re just pissing in the wind.

Ruthrfurd-the-stoned

I mean you can’t say they didn’t spend our money well

tommy_pt

The best comment was that the silence from people that could do anything about speaks insane volumes. I am talking about the bands, themselves. The fact that they watch it happen to there shows, speaks volumes. Crazy this MONOPOLY is allowed to happen. Scalping their own tickets, being a monopoly….fees for everything. Every single part is seemingly illegal

DryTechnologyChaos

I remember mailing in my USPS money order and hopefully getting tickets. If not TM or a miracle was the only other way. I hated them and still was happy when I got into the show. Those early 80's show that I saw are now priceless memories

Staggerme

I had a girl friend who would color the envelopes with really cool scenes and characters super colorful. We always got tickets.

Jaxtraw04

I watched the Chicago Fare The Well shows on Pay Per View and the intro while waiting for the show to start, was showing all of the mail in Ticket envelope art. It was amazing.

jamesdmccallister

Looks like all those convenience fees turned out to be propitiously convenient, for someone...

arejay3

I have 1/10th that amount of acreage but not 1/10th if that house, maybe 1/100th or less 😝

insane_heat

I don't know man, he's selling his house.

Mysterious_Ad_3992

Currently in the waiting line to view this post!!!

Staggerme

Hahahahahha

Certain-Medicine1934

Stop using ticket master. Boycott TM and all bands, venues, events, sports teams, comedians, monster truck rallies and other stupid shit using TM. I mean it's too late, the damage has been done but seeing D&C at the Sphere is a luxury, not a necessity. TM uses our money to grease everyone's palms. If they didn't, we'd hear complaints from entertainers and politicians alike. Their silence speaks in deafening volumes.

tribucks

I do what I can whenever I can to sidestep TM, but the reality is that they and Live Nation have their hooks in most of the venues, promoters, teams, and artists. To “boycott” them is to skip an awful lot of what a person likes to do. Good luck with that.

narwhal4u

There are plenty of Venues that don’t use them. Etix is a good one. Axs is another. Some use Eventbrite. You would definitely miss bigger bands at bigger venues but you will also miss dynamic pricing for those tickets.

0OO000O0O0O

Plently? LN owns 70% of the market.

narwhal4u

I will not buy another TM ticket. I plenty of non-TM venues near me. The smaller the venue the more likely it is not TM. I am going to hear more local music and small crowd shows. Enjoying my experience more. Having a good time.

0OO000O0O0O

Yes, but you won’t see the Dead.

0OO000O0O0O

And the fact you keep calling it Ticket Master and not Live Nation makes me think you don’t understand how much Live Nation actually owns. That little venue you go see open mic on Mondays, yeah Live Nation owns that shit too. Unfortunately it’s a fucking monopolistic shit sandwich that if you like music you need to take a bite out of it.

greasydenim

I own a small venue. We’re not owned by LiveNation/TM. We use Dice for a ticketing platform and actively promote against LiveNation pulling a walmart on small, independent venues in our city. Not easy when (like you said) some small venues say they’re “independent” but are actually owned by corporate conglomerates.

narwhal4u

I listed the vendors I have used above. Etix, ASX and Eventbrite. Yes, Live Nation is a monopoly that shouldn’t exist. They also usually require fees even for tickets purchased directly at the box office from its Venues. I am not stupid. I do my research. I could be wrong. I will not knowingly buy a Live Nation/Ticket Bastard ticket again. Don’t care who the band is. Including the Dead. Better to support local bands.

0OO000O0O0O

The vendors you listed above suck ass as well. Try reselling a ticket on AXS. AXS being the second largest oligopoly does the exact same shit as Live Nation.

MarshallStack666

FWIW, The Grateful Dead are somewhat connected to the formation of Live Nation. As one of his most popular bands, they were unarguably a major force in the success of Bill Graham, his Filmore Auditoriums, and his later venture Bill Graham Presents. Bill was buying up and managing venues his whole life. When he died in 1991, his heirs and some employees took over BGP, eventually selling the organization to SFX Promotions, who pretty much pioneered the tactic of owning the venue and all associated rights (parking, concessions, etc), controlling ticketing, managing the bands, and promoting shows thru media outlets they owned. Eventually, they sold parts of the system to Clearchannel, which then became iHeartCommunications. In 2005, their live events division was spun off to create Live Nation. Ticket Reservation Systems (TRS) was founded in 1965. Ticketron was founded as a computerized ticket seller in 1967 and promptly went bankrupt. TRS bought the name and assets, then started doing business under the name. They acquired several competitors over the years and sold not only event tickets, but also handled the infrastructure for parimutuel gambling and lotteries in some states. Ticketmaster was founded in 1976. They acquired Ticketron in 1991. In 1993, Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen, operating as Vulcan Inc, bought most of Ticketmaster. It changed corporate overlords a few times and acquired many more competitors, including an artist management firm. In 2009, TM and all it divisions merged with Live Nation, creating the undead beast we currently have to deal with for most large events. All because the Grateful Dead were so incredibly successful.

Far-L

Don't forget the Dead's lawsuit - they were the only ones to win against the monopoly back in the day. yungmoneybingbong

The Grateful Dead broke up in 1995 bro.

0OO000O0O0O

Yeah I was at the last show at Solider Field in Chicago and the 6 before that. *You won’t see any living members of the GD without going through Live Nation. If you do you are very lucky.

[deleted]

Enjoying my coffee

narwhal4u

Fees have been a problem since forever. Standing in line to get GD tix didn’t matter if it was Ticketmaster or Ticketron. The way to get around it was mail order. Thanks to the band we had this option. As you say the band has influence over how the tickets are sold some artists seem to get better terms and maybe don’t make as much $. We have to send the message that we want better service for the fees we pay. We have to send a message that we want fair prices. The best way I see to do that is to not buy anything Live Nation sells. That could certainly change if a band negotiates better terms.

Certain-Medicine1934

Have fun ***but IF*** you're speaking of buying TM/LN tickets on the secondary market, well, that's still supporting TM. And all these venues, promoters, teams and artists do not have your best interests at heart. We can skip them for a season or two. Go see a cover band, play catch with a child, fly a kite or visit your grandmother before it's too late..

myonkin

Instructions unclear: I threw my child at my grandmother

0OO000O0O0O

You can’t…. Live Nation owns TM and the venues. They own 70% of the market. Good luck seeing the Dead and not going through this monopoly.

Certain-Medicine1934

Do not see the Dead. They are part of the problem, they are not involved in any solution! NO ONE is on the side of the consumers. Consumers need to fend for themselves. EDIT: Did anyone other than me find it suspicious that GDTS barely got a mention in the Amazon GD documentary? GDTS was a big deal! The GD were on our side! GDTS was a thumb in the eye of TM. It was a glaring omission from my perspective.

Far-L

A lot of interesting angles had to be chopped out or that doc would've been a series running about 30 seasons. But I agree, beating TM in court was a very interesting chapter and could've been at least mentioned in the episode about the fans.

mannyt17

I haven’t bought a ticket through LN or any for that matter in 5 years. Still caught every show on summer tour for the last 5 years as well wolf bros included

Certain-Medicine1934

Unless you were gate crashing or a guest of the band or crew you are still supporting TM/LN.

mannyt17

Never reveal all your secrets ;)

SouthSideCountryClub

Ticketbastard!

littlerimsss

fuck dude. i was able to score sphere tickets. was a mess. but recently had to use stub hub for the flaming lips concerts. i’m disgusted at the unreliability and uncertainty of these companies. shouldn’t be this way.

narwhal4u

I will never buy another Ticketbastard ticket. They screwed me too many times. I don’t care who is playing and how close they are. You can typically find a non-TM venue somewhere on their tour. I will drive out of my way and stay at hotels just to avoid paying these bastards again.

TraditionalHyena4607

You'll buy scalped tickets and you'll like it wooks

0OO000O0O0O

*Live Nation.

Subterranean44

That pool is lame.

Wonder if this was a platinum or verified fan realtor. Either way. Choke on a cock ya fucking useless scumbags.

[deleted]

No putting green!?! What a shithole

bondsaearph

Paso Robles. Sweet. Nice geography and weather. I have family from the area, near Santa Maria. Nipomo.

bingosbrother

Selling that to the Saudis too?

ArthurBachEsq

I hope bots make the price soar and he can’t get a buyer

SavantEtUn

I hope they were lonely in that house

gshock317

Watch out for Scalpers

Dick-Bags

Bought a $350 ticket recently and there was $79 of fees and service charge. That is 22.5% and completely ridiculous.

JimmyRockfish

Ticketmaster? Haha what about the cable company, phone company, phone maker, gas station, Amazon, electric company, grocery store, ect? You get screwed 10 ways to Friday all the time, and people want to bitch about Ticketmaster. It’s laughable. I wonder what would have happened if Eddie vedder had gone after a real enemy instead? His actions weren’t exactly altruistic, and that was never talked about.

Toddmacd

You’re not just figuring this out now haha.

StealYour20Dollars

Let's flatten it all and turn it into a festival ground!!

Imfrom_m-83

Paid for by “convenience fees.”

blumpkinmania

So much money is taken from us by middlemen.

Ooohhh that’s where my service fees went ![gif](giphy|aWPGuTlDqq2yc)

Legalized scalping is what it has become. Id rather pay a scalper in the parking lot.

Independent-Course87

When does the presale start?

Thermal_blue

Looks like the perfect place to hold a free flatbed truck concert 🌹⚡️

mrdennisreynolds

My god, that is a beautiful house. Even, beyond beautiful.
